[Third POV]

A cute pink short-haired girl with white and soft skin, two white ribbons around her horns, camouflaging them as white clips. She was wearing a pink pleated puffy sleeve dress and white army boots, making her a bit taller than her current measly 1.20 meters in height (3.11ft).

Kaede was displeased with her height, she was quite tall in her last life, in fact nearly being two meters in height as a 'he-she towered most, it recently hit her that she probably won't be very tall. She preferred to don't think about it too much.

She was looking around her, her four vectors a bit longer than 7 months ago moving around, she was pickpocketing the ignorant humans around.

It was the beginning of the night for Tokyo, the cold breeze of October not bothering her in the slightest. It has been 7 months since she healed.  Nothing much happened, she was taught by Eto and didn't go out or see many people either.

She looked like a girl her age would normally look like, she wasn't a stickman anymore, if the constant glare, camouflaged horns, and cold face of a psychopath were ignored. Exotic eyes and hair color were not uncommon but she still stood out and dyeing hair with lenses was also a possibility.

A woman with messy long green hair, a grey scarf hiding half of her face, a yellow backpack, round sunglasses, a black coat, yellow suspenders, and a green shirt with red boots.

Eto was holding Kaede's hand, while she was happily humming and thinking about the plans for the night. Eto as Sen was known to the public as a famous author with a lot of admirers for her writing and beauty, though she wasn't famous all around the world, only in Japan and to a certain group of people, she could simply disguise herself or bullshit her way through if one of her fans recognize her.

They still evaded cameras if possible, while passing through the rapidly diminishing crowd of humans. One of the vectors simply phased through a random man in his thirties, infecting him.

Kaede didn't know this, sometimes she randomly and sparsely did this following her instincts, the first was 2 months after she healed and she did this 8 times in total, she felt it was important for her species.

This man was going to marry and have a family. For the moment no kids of these infected men were born. She was more dangerous than others and herself thinks.

They continued on their way, Kaede noticing how the atmosphere changed as they entered an abandoned building. Spiderwebs, cracked stone, rotted furniture, moldy walls.

Eto put her backpack on a new chair, clearly out of place with the desolate state of the building. The half-ghoul smiled as she undressed herself to the bemusement of the diclonius.

"Is this necessary?", asked Kaede while looking away and dramatically putting her hand in front of her eyes, saving her innocence.

"Hmmm, yes. Little Kaede, the doves and other inhabitants of where we are going don't need to know our faces.", she said with a sinister chuckle, as she was covering her whole body with bandages. Making her look like a mummy. Then she put a pink scarf with flowers around her neck with a faded red cloak.

"You know I wasn't talking about this…", the pink-haired girl grumbled, she studied the rest of the room they were in. Nothing much was here.

"You can open your eyes. You're such a baby, here, take this from a certain Clown.", said Eto with exasperation, then she took a head mask out of the bag and gave it to her adopted daughter.

Kaede looked at what was given to her from the mummified hands. It was a head mask that looked like a dog head, a Shiba Inu head, it looked like an origami. She touched it and noted that it was harder than it seemed.

Then she took off her ribbon from her horns, and put the Shiba Inu mask on, it fitted perfectly, her horn slipped where the ears were and could be seen from the outside. It wouldn't bring fear in the heart of others that's for sure.

"You look adorable like this.", declared Eto, grabbing the hand of the girl. Dragging her to the underground of the building. The diclonius lets herself be dragged.

"Where are we going exactly?", Kaede said with a raised eyebrow behind her mask and a gesture to what was in front of them.

"Ward 24. Where I passed my childhood. It's basically an underground city mostly composed of ghouls, nine out of ten are ghouls. This place is essentially the slums of Tokyo if you want.", she patiently explained, she didn't tell the diclonius where they were going.

Eto taught her adopted daughter a lot of things but there is only so much you can put in 8 months, even with the incredible intellect of the child.

Kaede was uneducated like her but she catches things even faster than her at her age. The half-ghoul had that strange sentiment of pride that she couldn't understand and put at the back of her mind.

"Are you going to kill? Am I going to kill?!", exclaimed Kaede, a bit too enthusiastic at the idea of murder. She hadn't killed a single person in 8 months and it was getting on her nerves.

The reincarnator knew it was not normal but it was like a hitch, a very annoying hitch. But she lived with it. Playi-training with her vectors helped and playing with her dog too, Bubble loved human meat apparently.

"Yes, sweetheart! Blood baths, gore, death, murder, evisceration, and everything in between are on the menu for tonight! You can have as much fun as you want.", proclaimed Eto with a demented smile visible behind her bandages, her kakugans shined in excitement.

The duo walked through the abandoned sewers of Tokyo, the smarter inhabitants directly evacuated the area, ghouls and humans alike that were recognizing Eto's current appearance as a ghoul that was the One-Eyed Owl.

"Hello! Hello, people of this lovely place called Ward 24, for the one who doesn't know me, well go fuck yourself! Some as I can see know who I'm, lucky you. I'm not going to kill tonight! My lovely daughter will!", the One-Eyed Owl declared and made a smile inhumanly wide, spreading her arms. She saw them regaining hope.

Then she pointed her finger at the one running away, might as well join the fun, immediately breaking her earlier words. A part of kanuka started to slowly form on her right shoulder, looking like two giant spears made of glowing red flesh. Still, she didn't move and looked forward to Kaede's next action.

'Which one is first…', pondered Kaede, taping the muzzle of her mask with her finger, ignoring the mummified woman's stare and speech.

Her ruby red eyes looked over multiple people, making some flinch. Then her eyes met the one of a man, he didn't seem Japanese, not that she cared about his ancestry.

The middle-aged man's gaze was transfixed on her legs then to her nearly none resistant breast, his mind going 'elsewhere' so to say. It perturbed her, nobody ever looked at her like this before. And she didn't like it. At all.

Without any warning, she left four handprints on the dirty ground, propelling herself like a bullet in his direction; he was at the top of a small stone house. The man's eyes went wide in shock, he should have anticipated this from the eye candy and maybe more…

The sclera of his eyes turned pitch black as his pupil turned red, still less intense than the little girl. He snorted as he didn't see her use her kagune. He didn't understand how fucked up he was.

He won't stop himself from using his own. Behind his tailbone, his green bikaku appeared. The little girl with the dog masked gracefully landed just in front of him, after a brief pause in midair. Her dress was unaffected by her brisk movement. To his immense disappointment.

He directly ran in her direction, going for the stomach with a left kick, his tail kagune around the mentioned leg.

'Huh?', he couldn't feel his legs anymore nor everything below his belly button. His intestines and most of his internal organs were out of his body, behind it. As it didn't stop his momentum all that much.

Cleanly bisected by one of Kaede's four vectors.

Planting face first, he cried out in agony, his body already regenerating but he knew it was in vain. He looked up in terror at the little girl, snot, and tears on his face, they were 3 meters apart, and he didn't see, smell, or hear anything. He didn't understand.

"Die, pervert.", he faintly heard the cold voice of the girl, before his head flew off his body with the rest of his spine in a gory rain of blood. He could see his body before his vision blacked out, to never wake up again.

"Bravo sweetheart! Continue like this! Make Mama proud!", Kaede heard the distorted voice of Eto from somewhere. She huffed and shrugged, then looked down at the body with disgust before jumping down the house, softening her landing with her vectors. Another target is already in mind.

The hitch was still there but a faint but deranged smile appeared on her face formed nonetheless.
