Hearing my rolling 'r' she chuckles "Oh that is cute. A royal pardon means you're acquitted of all charges and can never be punished for your heritage."
Hearing her words, it's like the world just got thousands of kilograms lighter and I can't help but let myself fall over crying from relief.
"Leone?!"
Zhloe gently holds her hand before the admiral "She's okay, just very stressed."
"Understood I'll leave her in your care. However."
Zhloe's voice sounds an octave higher than normal "However?"
Hunching down next to me, the admiral softly places her hand on my head. "You are to recover the evidence instead of destroying it."
She then gives me a kind smile before standing back up "I want all of it here no matter how insignificant it may seem. As for the ID, treat is as you see fit."
Still overwhelmed I reply with a faint nod.
The admiral then walks towards Zhloe telling her something I wasn't able to understand.
Slowly getting up I hide next to the couch and the wall, only to feel a few fingers tickle my ear a moment later. "It's okay, they're gone"
Looking up I'm greeted by Khloe's kind smile.
"Still a scaredy cat I see" Eloise chuckles softly and walks towards me.
"Guys, just leave her be for a few minutes" Zhloe exhales deeply before looking my way wearing a smile "Feel free to go to your bedroom if you want"
Shaking my head I wipe my cheeks "I… I'll stay" Sniffing softly I groom my paws before using them to clean my face.
Zhloe walks back towards the couch and sits down "Alright… It seems I was kept in the dark."
Eloise laughs "Quite a bit seeing they got a royal pardon"
Khloe makes an uncertain noise "Sis… If Leone isn't completely acclimated does that mean she'll have to go in again?"
Startled and tense I leap on the backrest and wildly shake my head "Please don't!"
In response Zhloe gives me a kind smile "As of now that doesn't seem necessary dear."
Exhaling in relief makes her chuckle softly
"So I guess no-" Her phone vibrates which she quickly grabs before frowning. "That can't be right! I'll leave you three for the moment, I'll have to ask the admiral something, I'll be back in a minute."
We all nod in understanding and while she leaves the room Khloe smiles while pointing at my paws You might want to take your claws out of the couch"
Looking down at the fact my nails are deep into the fabric, I retract my claws only to lose my footing and fall off the backrest. "Ow…"
Eloise immediately bursts into laughter "You really are a clown aren't you?"
With an embarrassed moan I hop over the backrest and sit down in the corner of the couch.
"I'm so glad to see you're alive though… many who were taken that day either vanished or died…"
Staring at my knees in confusion I sigh softly "I can barely remember it… or anyone…"
Surprised she turns her head "Not even Kato?"
Looking up I shake my head in guilt "No idea who you mean"
Realizing I'm not joking she exhales loudly "The new teacher we got that day, he got taken as well, but released at a later time"
[I could barely remember you…]
Giving her an apologetic look I shake my head "No… sorry… I really can't rememberr… truth be told-"
Khloe suddenly interrupts me "She has troubles with all her memories, when she woke up she couldn't even recall her own name, it's quite a miracle she remembered you"
Eloise stands up before sitting down next to me "I really wish I could do more for you, although I can't help but chuckle a bit"
Curious I turn my head
"I always said, one day you were going into a cat as you spent most of your time tending to them"
Softly gigging I look up "Do you know what happened to them?"
She shakes her head "No, sorry. We all had to abandon our old lives and generally weren't allowed to inquire about anything related to the city or our lives there."
Groaning softly I look down "I see…"
Wearing a small kind smile she pats my head "So what are your plans?"
Shrugging I look up "Don't really know, grow older and stronger I guess…? I was told I'd go to school again, but I'm not looking forward to it, especially not as how I look now" Looking at my paw I let it fade back to my hand "I'd be even more of an outcast"
Her smile widens slightly "I'm sure you'll be fine, just don't fall asleep every day like you used to."
Alarmed Khloe frowns "She often fell asleep?"

Eloise nods "Yes quite often, she slept maybe two to three hours a night due to her hyperrealistic dreams and responsibilities. It's a wonder she actually managed to flee that day."
Intrigued Khloe grabs her tablet and searches for something "Hmm, it isn't mentioned here… but that might explain a few things."
Hearing her alarmed tone I gaze up in worry causing her to shake her head "Don't worry it's nothing bad"
When I look down at my knees I softly hear her whisper "I hope"
With a deep sigh I pull up my legs and lean against the arm rest.
Eloise softly grabs my arm "You okay?"
Unsure I shrug "No idea… I'm sitting next to my best friend, yet she nearly feels like a stranger to me…"
She giggles "Well look at from this angle, if you're allowed to leave on your own, visit me. Then we can get to know each other all over again."
Wearing a soft smile I turn my head towards her "That sounds nice"
Curling up tighter I fall against her but remain silent for a while.
Suddenly I hear a strange strained panting in the hallway and shoot up.
[Who's that? What happened?]
"What's wrong?"
Frowning I hop on my feet and dash to the door to open it. Seeing Danny carry Felix my heart skips a beat "Are you okay?!"
Danny remains silent until he has carried Felix inside and lain him down on the couch. "Leone, close the door please."
Doing as he asks, I feel my stomach churn when I see Felix is unconscious. "Is he okay?!"
Danny first looks up at Eloise "Apologies for this Miss Cloudrunner. And yes he will be okay, he just got hit on his head by falling debris"
[Felix being knocked out by debris?! Did a wall fall on him?!]
Standing next to him I frown when I see multiple cuts and abrasions on his entire upper body.
-[That wasn't debris]-
Tensing up from Leone's sudden intervention I reply in my thoughts [If not… what was it?]
Danny interrupts our conversation by giving me a soft tap on my head "Leone, could you go get Zhloe from the admiral's office? Go right down the hall and once you see a white marble inlaid door enter through them. The assistant there should be able to help you."
With a nod I quickly dash out of the room and down the hall, just when I'm about to reach the doors, someone walks out. "Leone?"
Recognizing the general I nod "I… had to go fetch Zhloe."
Smiling he nods "And I was to go and get you."
Immediately I feel on edge and tense up "oh"
He motions me to follow "Come tell Zhloe what you had to get her for"
Rapidly I nod and quickly follow him inside, on the right stands a small reception desk which is currently empty and in front of us are two heavy oak doors. Once we pass through both the admiral and Zhloe frown. "That was quick"
The general nods "She was on her way here, she told me she needed to see Zhloe"
Quickly nodding I look at Zhloe "Danny just came back with an unconscious Felix, he said it's due to some falling debris but I don't believe him. He told me to go get you."
The admiral looks at the general "Mase, go see what really happened. As for you Leone, please sit down. Zhloe and I have to talk to you about something."
Hesitant I slowly walk towards the lavish black wooden chair upholstered with soft gray near white fabric. Sitting down I look around the office noticing it's rather sterile and empty. The room is maybe four by four meters with a black wooden desk, three chairs a red carpet on the white marble floor. The gray walls are near empty aside of a mirror, world map and on the other wall a certificate of sorts.
As soon as the general has left the room, the admiral gives me a stern inquisitive stare. "Leone what do you actually remember?"
Lost I give her an uncertain look "Remember what Ma'am?"
Deeply exhaling her gaze sharpens "About the outside world, about your previous home town, your previous life."
Insecure, down and somewhat scared I look down "Barely anything… I mean I do have some flashes and images that I remember, like I would know where to find the corridor where I lost my bag, but I wouldn't know where the school itself is, or how far down the corridor I lost it all. I remember vague images of my father and mother, yet not enough to remember the people they were."
The admiral then looks at Zhloe "It would seem your reports are correct, I sense no trace of doubt or lies."
She nods "She's in no condition to be sent out on active duty, especially as we don't know if it's just her long term memories that have been damaged."
Baffled I look up in alarm "A-Active duty?"
The admiral nods "Yes, what is it that you want?"
Shaking my head I shrug "No idea… answers maybe?"
With a soft sigh Zhloe looks at me "Do you want to go to school, do you want to have your own home, your own family, those kind of things."
Shaking my head I sigh before looking at her "Currently, none of those things seem like something I need… I want to learn about who I am, about Leone."
