Sighing I shake my head with a twitching smile on my lips "Obviously I knew that, I meant the route."
Once again giggling she smiles "North along the mountain range for about a hundred kilometers, when south-west for another hundred. Then we're pretty much there."
Confused I frown "Why not go straight there?"
Looking down at the dash she presses a couple of buttons before looking my way "Not allowed, it's a no fly zone."
Gazing to the west I frown when I see multiple large landing craft "But…"
Following my gaze she chuckles "Ah, only cargo ships are allowed there, they're checked on take-off and landing to make sure they're safe to pass over that area."
"Safe to pass?"
She nods "It's part of a military research facility, we could reach that place through the basement of where we live, but it's highly restricted. If not shot, we'd be severely reprimanded just for entering the tunnel between the two facilities."
"Ah…"
"Don't worry, it's not shoot to kill. But enough of that. Off to Garna!" Chuckling she points to the horizon.
Comfortable I lean back and close my eyes. "Odd, I can be completely calm. Somehow I have no anxiety for the destination."
Softly giggling she grabs my hand "We should be there in about in fifteen to twenty minutes depending on traffic in the city"
Smiling I once again close my eyes "Huh, rather fast ship then. Will you also be flying to school?"
"Nah for school we'll just join the morning supply flight, as for the afternoon it changes each day. Usually they just switch employees around that time and take me back with them. And yes, the ship is quite fast. At cruising speed it's about nine-hundred and fifteen kilometers an hour."
Softly chuckling I smile "Fast indeed and sounds chaotic"
Giggling she nods "Luckily I get the schedule a week in advance. But I spoke with the admiral and we might get permission to fly ourselves."
Confused I frown "Ourselves?"
She nods "I'm allowed to teach you how to fly. Seeing on your personal data sticks were plenty of recorded test flights in a state of the art simulator."
Baffled I frown "There were? I don't remember ever flying a simulator, and how on earth would I have access to a state of the art simulator?"
Giggling she looks my way "You most likely had a VR setup, depending on the rest of your hardware the simulator used can also be used on home computers."
"Oh, maybe that's why the cockpit feels a bit familiar"
In reply a smile forms on her lips yet she remains silent for quite some time.
"Hold the stick"
"Huh what?!" Rapidly I grab the stick with both hands making her smirk before taking over control once more.
"Did you look where all the buttons where beforehand?"
Baffled I shake my head realizing it was just a teasing test "I just grabbed it to be honest."
Smiling she passes back control back to me "Well you hold it like you should, but try and tilt to the right."
Instinctively I move the stick to the left causing the ship to tilt about thirty degrees to the right.
With a smirk on her face she once again disables the control of my stick before taking over. "Seems like you subconsciously remember a lot more."
With a faint smile I let go and lean back in the chair "I might, but for now I have plenty of other things on my mind"
Nodding she smiles "I know, I was just curious to see if you remembered anything."
Staring at the clouds through the glass on the bottom side of the wall. "There are things coming back in shards, but I don't think I remember more than like five percent of my entire past."
For a moment she stays silent only to once again grab my hand "How badly do you want to remember?"
Shaking my head I softly squeeze her hand "Honestly at this point I usually can't care less, yet there are moments…"
Smiling she looks my way "Then if you have one of those moments, come talk to me, maybe by talking about it and focusing we can let you remember a bit more."
With a nod I look outside and gasp once we break through the clouds seeing the city "Holy! It's huge!"
Snickering she nods "It is, it's about twenty times the size of your old city."
"And… wait… how many people live in the Legion?!"
Focused on the controls of the ship she chuckles without averting her eyes. "Considering the amount of high-rise in the city, what would you guess?"
Clueless I shake my head "I don't really know to be honest. There are like twenty skyscrapers to my right alone. I guess at least more than a million in this city alone?"
Giggling she taps on the console a couple of times after which a positive ding sounds and she steers to the airport. "Silly, you're right about the more than a million. There are seven million in this city alone. As for the entire Legion, I believe the last consensus was seven point four billion."

My jaw drops "So many?!"
She nods "Yes, together with this world being torn in two due to the polluted uninhabited zone. We also face a massive overpopulation. Seeing we, as the Legion are rather advanced in technology, many of these issues can be solved on small scale. Yet…"
Worried I avert my gaze "The world still faces a crisis?"
She nods "To sum up a long story, yeah"
Deep in thought I sigh softly gazing outside while she lands. "Say… do you think… that seeing I'm the warrior Goddess I should address that issue?"
She shakes her head, smiles and strokes my knee "Not alone"
Unbuckling I turn my head "But you think I should?"
She nods "Yes, just as much as each and everyone of us should. Alone you can't fix the planet, but you can make a start. And well as Goddess you may have abilities we humans do not."
Doubtful about abilities I sigh and stare at my knees.
"You don't have to do any of that alone that dear"
Overwhelmed by emotion I nod slowly and pull the hood over my head "I just… want more information first."
"Understandable, let's go"
With another nod I follow her out of the ship where some people give us curious looks. Yet everyone seems to ignore my tail so I guess they're looking as we're the only ones leaving the ship.
Walking down the pavement I gaze around at the city yet quickly lose interest as it's rather dull and stressy. Plain gray concrete, glass, metal and more glass. Where one building would be a marvel and three would be unique the immense amount of high-rise and skyscrapers in this city causes the street to be clouded in shadows causing everything to feel distant.
Once we enter the library a guard notices my tail and wants to walk towards me but Khloe shakes her head causing him to step back.
"You know him?"
She nods "Yeah, he's a friendly guy had plenty of chats. Just very curious."
Faintly smiling I follow her through the library until she stops at a shelf "Here we have the biggest chance of finding what you're looking for."
Looking at the sign on the shelves I smile "Gods and Goddesses huh?"
She nods "luckily they're also sorted per God and Goddess, let's see.. Lana, Lazal, Lean, Leon.. here Leone" She smiles when it seems there are about fifty to eighty books available "Let's quickly sort trough them"
Excited I nod and start at the end while she starts at the beginning of the shelf, within minutes we've found about thirty books that seem promising, yet when we want to take them to a table one of the librarians walks towards us.
"Those are quite some books, may I perhaps be of help?"
Khloe smiles but shakes her head "We're just trying to find information about the Goddess Leone"
He smiles "Her deeds as Goddess and her military exploits, or about her life?"
Smiling yet curious about his question I look up "The latter"
He smiles and points to a cart "then you can place all the books you have on there, as they sadly won't help you, please follow me"
Khloe nods and we both place the books on the cart. "You see, the books you seek are heavily monitored as they can be quite impactful on people's lives"
Khloe frowns "Then why would you show it to two fifteen year-olds?"
He chuckles "Because I believe reincarnations of Gods deserve to know about the person their predecessor was"
Khloe worryingly looks at me "So you've noticed?"
He chuckles "I've noticed it about you both, curiously I can see Animus particles. However, truth to be told I did receive a phone call from a certain Admiral Zelkova"
Khloe sighs "Why did I get that feeling"
Smiling he looks at her "May I ask about you?"
Khloe nods "It seems I housed part of Fira, as for my friend"
His smile widens "Leone?"
Taking off my hood I nod "Yes"
With his mouth slightly agape he freezes for a moment "You.. You're beautiful, you're almost exactly like her"
Blushing slightly I smile from relief "I'm happy you're not afraid of me"
A soft sigh escapes his lips "I know some people would, but to me you're perfect"
Khloe smiles and rubs my head causing me to purr which in turn makes him smile wider "Come it's inside here"
