Realizing I'm the one that makes the sound, I suddenly turn bright red and gaze down while having my hands between my knees.
Apparently the girl noticed my behavior and laughs before turning around and walking to some closets built into the wall behind me. Moments later she walks past me and places a roll of bandages, a bottle, some cloth and a pair of scissors on the table before walking to a small counter opposite from the seating area. I'm unable to see what exactly she's doing but I hear liquid running from a machine and notice her opening a fridge and grabbing something before coming back with a cup and bottle.
After putting the bottle and cup down, she grabs the piece of cloth and dips it into the water before gently grabbing my arm.
"Yikes, some of those are quite deep. Doesn't it hurt?"
Slowly shaking my head makes her smile "Glad to hear, now hold still."
When the cloth touches my skin a weird shiver runs down my spine but I simply grit my teeth and endure. After wiping away most of the blood, she quickly grabs the bottle and sprays a surprisingly cold blue liquid on the wounds.
A second later the wounds begin to burn and sting causing me to moan while keeping my teeth clenched.
"Hang in there, almost done with this arm." She immediately grabs the roll of bandages and rolls it around my arm, covering it from my wrist to my shoulder before tying it up. "There, now please sit on the edge so I can do your other arm"
With a nod I turn and she quickly repeats what she did on my right arm.
"Hmm, the scratches on your legs and torso are quite shallow, as long as they don't hurt we'll leave them be. Just make sure to keep them clean"
Obedient I give her a nod making her smile wider. "Good, now wait here while I grab something to eat for you. Here, take this bottle of water, I bet you're thirsty"
With another nod I meekly grab the bottle while she walks away. Taking the cap off, I want to take a sip only to have a sudden urge to sniff the contents first. After taking a sip I sigh deeply and hang my head.
[The hell is happening to me, it's like I got stuck in some weird nightmare I can't wake up from...]
For a while I simply gaze at and play around with the water bottle, only to look up when I hear footsteps. Looking up I see an incredibly muscular man of near 2.5 meters tall. He has a sturdy face that shows faint traces of being battle hardened, a small scar runs from his jawbone onto his throat while his dark brown eyes have a resolute yet kind shine to them. His slightly red, dark skin makes him look like an immovable mountain, yet his clothes are the complete opposite. A white blouse adorned with a couple of gray stripes forming a cross on the left of his torso, dark gray denim jeans together with high-top white sneakers make him look rather gentle and calm.
Noticing me, he smiles kindly "Well hello there, finally woke up?"
I immediately recognize him by his voice as the man who lifted me out of the underground chamber, so I give him a faint nod "Yeah just a while ago. The girrrl, she said she was going to get me something to eat"
Smiling he motions to the couch "Oh Zhloe? Mind if I sit next to you?"
"Zhloe? And I guess.. sorry, I just don't know what to think"
A sympathetic sigh escapes him while he sits down "Zhloe is the silver haired girl with whom you talked yesterday. And I can understand it must be confusing, I mean when you were captured the rules were quite inhumane, luckily that has changed these days."
Sensing something unsettling I look up "Wait, these days?"
His expression sharpens from guilt "Oh dear.. I shouldn't have said that"
Suddenly the silver haired girl, Zhloe appears in the corner of my eyes. "Seeing Danny already stirred up the subject.. Yes, these days. You were captured five years ago"
It's as if she used a sledgehammer instead of words. My eyes widen, my body tenses up and I lose grip over the bottle which rolls off the table and falls on the ground. As if time has frozen, I can't hear anything but the bottle rolling while her words resound in my mind.
[Five years…]
[Five years?!]
[I've been in that hole for five years?!]
[What happened to my city?! To Legein? Legein..? Was that the name of my city?]
[What happened to my family to my friends?]
[Emma? Emma! What happened to her? Oh god I really hope she's okay!]
Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder and nearly leap through the roof from the startle.
"Leone, please listen."

With eyes wide from shock I gaze her way and nod slowly "O-Okay"
Exhaling loudly she gives me a meek smile before hunching down so she's at eye height. "I'm really sorry to say this, but yes, you spent five years in a sleep like state."
My eyes begin to burn and feel moist "So.."
She nods and gently places her hand on my knee "Yes, you're technically nineteen now, and most people you used to know are now five years older as well. But seeing your body hasn't grown and that you've pretty much slept through these years, we still consider you to be fourteen."
Unable to hold back my tears I pull up my legs, yet Danny gently pushes them back down. "You're only wearing a dress deary"
Feeling hopeless I hang my head and moan softly. "So.. what now?"
She gently squeezes my knee and gives me a faint smile "It depends on a few things, but most likely a short time of testing before you're allowed to go outside again, yet with regular check ups"
"Outside? Like home?"
Biting her lip she shakes her head "Sorry but sadly not, five years ago your entire city, your family and friends, everyone including you were annexed by the Legion. So when I say going outside, I mean restarting your life as a citizen of the Legion"
Highly confused I groan softly and hold my head "But…"
Softly chuckling she hands me a bigger bottle "Here it's a nutrient shake. As for your confusion, you're taught the Legion is everyone's sworn enemy and evil?"
Rather embarrassed I reply with a small nod
Smiling she stands back up "I can't blame you, it's been taught like that all over the world. However the truth is quite different. But that's something for another day, for now just make sure to drink that shake, you need your nutrients."
Looking at the bottle in my hands, I'm unable to see any label that says what flavor it'd be, the only thing printed onto the clear bottle filled with yellowish liquid is the date that says it expires on the 20th day of the fifteenth month in 4849. Not knowing what it is, I simply twist off the cap and try to take a sip only to stop part way and taking a sniff causing both of them to chuckle.
"Don't laugh! I can't help it"
Zhloe once again chuckles "Sorry, it just looked silly yet cute"
With a gentle sigh I once again look at the bottle and take in a quick whiff of the shake before taking a sip. Immediately my eyes widen in shock, a rush of excitement courses through my body and loud purring fills the room.
Ignoring their snickering I only take short breaks to breathe while drinking the entire vanilla flavored shake. Once I'm done I lower the bottle and rub my lips while purring loudly. It takes quite some time for Zhloe to regain her composure. "Alright, that purring is adorable. As for the sniffing and the speed in which you drank the entire thing.. I guess there are some instincts that need time to settle."
Immediately my face feels warm and flustered I gaze down at my knees "Sor-"
Her kind giggle interrupts me "There's nothing to apologize for, but how do you feel now?"
Looking up I give her a weak smile "Incredibly confused"
Danny chuckles "I think she meant physically dear"
Turning red once again I quickly look at him. "I-I think I'm okay, just drrrowsy"
Enthusiastic Zhloe sticks out her hand "Can you stand?"
Standing up goes well, yet just a moment afterwards I lose my balance making me feel oddly strong frustration "Yes.. If I can keep my balance"
[Damned tail is ruining my balance..]
Before I lose myself in my frustration, she gently grabs my hands and pulls me back on my feet. "Just take it slow, I'll help"
Replying with a nod I slowly step away from the couch and carefully take one step at a time, progressively leaning less on her. "That's it, just keep going"
Faintly smiling at her excitement, I slowly let go of her arms and manage to stand upright. "Okay, think I got it"
Smiling widely she nods "Then let's go, just follow me to that door over there."
