Chapter 10: Chapter 10 – Silver Aura vs Flaming Lioness

2 years had passed and Caelum had turned 10, appearing more like a 14 year old young man because of continuous training and advancement of his Mana core. It had turned into a [ Light Stage Yellow core ] casting spell without hard concentration to perform a powerful attack. It was also when Mereoleona returned from her intense training having more power than ever before but not close enough to how quick Caelum had reached his level.

She had requested an immediate sparring against the two of them where the spectators were Fuguleon, Leopold, Mimosa, Noelle and Nozel with the addition of Julius who often visited Caelum to see how he was doing. He had to be careful when he was around as the devil could act any time it wanted. 

"Brat, hope you weren't slacking off in training when I was gone!"

Mereoleona shouted and flaring his magical energy that turned a beacon of intense power that caused the people to shield their eyes. Fuguleon frowns seeing her sister planning not to hold back and use magic against him. If his theory was correct then Caelum power shouldn't be underestimated. 

He only guessed that he was the one who had been causing unnatural events and thought it was the result of his training. Fuguleon ponder what kind regime in order to acquire such devastating power at such young age. 

"Isn't this too much!? I know his genius and talented Mage but shouldn't we stop them?"

"Though I don't like him, I have to agree with sir Julius in regard to Lady Mereoleona action."

Julius was concerned seeing the power that Mereoleona could easily put vice captain or even captain rank magic knight to the ground while Nozel merely questioned the sanity of their 'Sparring'. Sapphire who was alongside them suddenly smiled upon seeing their reaction. 

"No need to worry, I believe you will be in for a surprise soon. I was there when he was training."

Hearing her words silent them and turning to see at the incoming fight. They notice that Caelum had his eyes closed and in deep concentration before suddenly opening his eyes to release his magical energy and baffling everyone and making their jaw drop to the floor. The density and vastness was unnatural even for nobles.

Mereoleona witnessed the sight grin in excitement finding that her disciple had not disappointed him and had grown in unbelievable heights. She couldn't help start the fight but knew he was only beginning as the power kept rising until his body emanated a terrifying glow.

This sight made the magic knight shudder at the sensation of the icy grip of death in their neck when looking at Caelum who seemed to be emotionless. Afterwards the once miasmic darkness started to turn into a silver shimmering aura causing everyone to feel chill running through their body.

They witness his body acquiring runes at his forearms and visible bluish tinged outline throughout his body. 

"An ice magic? To have such control despite not having a grimoire…what kind of monstrous talent does this boy have?"

Julius exclaimed dumbfounded to see a boy no older than 10 years old having an enormous amount of control over mana in surroundings with the density surpassing even magic knight captain. 

"This is the first time I witnessed him use this magic. To think he has this kind of power." 

"What? You mean none of you taught him magic?"

"No, we did but he used flame instead of ice."

Fuguleon gave a piece of information that made them rethink what kind of being Caelum was to have two kinds of magic when it was normally only one affinity unless that person had two souls. Julius couldn't help but be curious what kind of magic he truly had.  

"So cool! Show what you got, big bro Caelum!"

"Yeah we believe in you!!"

"He's really amazing."

Leopold cheered for his brother while Mimosa and Noelle shared their thoughts watching their "Fianceé". Sapphire giggled seeing them excited for the fight to start and watched Caelum taking stance preparing to fight. 

The burning heat coming from Mereoleona was balanced by Caelum freezing silver aura having a similar image to Kuzan and Akainu. 

"Brat, you've exceeded my expectations! When the hell did you gain this form!?"

"No way in hell I'll tell you! Well enough talk, more fighting."

"You took the words out of my mouth!"

Mereoleona and Caelum smirked before vanishing where only Sapphire, the other adults, to witness their clash at the center where each strike counters their magic. Caelum spun around trying to kick her straight into her abdomen but kept herself in place and tried to his leg. Unfortunately, her opponent was quick enough to escape and took distance from her while forming a blade behind him. 

Without wasting any moment rushed towards her as he unleashed a barrage of fire attacks that Caelum sliced using his flying sword. He took breath and executed numerous slashes that sent waves of [ Silver Aura ] directed to Mereoleona who only smiled at the sight and conjured a large Lion paw made of flames to strike the attack. 

The shockwave of their battle causes the people to move slightly farther from them to avoid getting in the way. It was too intense and no one would believe them that it was only a spar.

"How can this be called a 'Friendly Spar' when the two seem to be at each other's neck!?"

Julius exclaimed and only made him more curious to find out more about his magic while the devil within him observed and made adjustments for his plan in the future. He found Caelum as an anomaly that shouldn't exist and couldn't help but let him grow in order to see what he would offer in the future.

The battle rages on with Caelum increasing his power release more [ Silver Aura ] molding it into his arms to make an armament gauntlet and taking Mereoleona head on into a brawl.

"Oh? You're approaching me instead of running away, You're coming right to me?"

"I can't beat the shit out of you without getting closer."

Once the two stood in front of each with inches away flaring their energy. Caelum was clearly smaller than Mereoleona but it doesn't change the fact of his standing under her pressure. 

Boom!

In the blink of an eye, the two were in deadlock with their fist at each other's faces grinning from their attack. Mereoleona melted the ices while Caelum froze her flames then slowly removed their fist and took stances before an onslaught of hard strike could be heard shatter the air. 

Their fist was nearly invisible for normal people with few glimpses and afterimages. Caelum strike, jab, redirect, deflect, block, and every possible movement to take advantage of. She hardly has any complicated martial art focusing on striking rather than precise movement and using her opponent's attack against them.

In other words, she was too predictable yet hard to knock out that their clash was attacking to destroy the land, unable to stop forgetting the world and continue their fight. It was as if an image of serious vermillion Lion and whire Tiger could be seen from their clash. 

"How long can they last!? It's already been half an hour and yet none is backing down!"

"This is simply unbelievable! A commoner capable of this kind of power!?"

Their unrelenting attacks hardly changed and kept repeatedly striking each other without rest. Caelum could feel something within his body shattered and being tempered by her attacks until his mind seemed to reach a state of statisis. 

[ You have evolved into "High Human". ]

He smirked having grown from their battle and decided to end it soon by flaring his power even further than before surpassing his limits. Mereoleona notices this and does the same with both prepared to give one last attack only to be interrupted by a spectator.

"Enough. It would be unfortunate if one of you were severely injured."

Julius places them in Chronostasis to stop them from continuing. Caelum was frozen in time yet still consciously aware of everything. He could easily escape since Julius magic had already been copied by him. However, decided not to and hid his secret trump card to get them off guard. 

Few moments later they were released from the Chronostasis receiving a glare from Mereoleona who was disappointed in the ordeal.

"When things were getting good! Next time we'll fight without interruption." 

Mereoleona declared with Caelum nodding since it would be a great opportunity to get stronger than before. He was only using his base power without the use of [ Tempest Blade ]. Furthermore, his evolution needed some experimentation to learn more about it. 

Caelum then was hugged by the two girls who had their eyes sparkling after witnessing his power.

"That's amazing! Can you teach me how to get strong like you!?"

"Me too! I want to be strong and be with you!"

"Hold girls, one at a time!"

He warily smiled wanting to get his attention while Mereoleona was interested in him once he grew into an adult. Mereoleona hardly cares about romances and sees Caelum as a potential mate to be with. 

"If you don't mind me asking, young Caelum? What kind of magic spell did you cast and why are you this powerful without a grimoire?"

"I can't tell you and my method only works for me. As for what kind of magic spell it was, I call it [ Silver Armament ]."

"[ Silver Armament ]? Interesting name choice."

After a while, they all left the place leaving a desolate place full of burnt and frozen trees. This information quickly spread and informed about solid, Noelle's brother who had challenged him when they acquired their grimoire. The arrogant young master denied such rumors and exaggerating but was terrified when his oldest brother inform him that it was the truth.

"No, that has to be a lie!?"

"Unfortunately it is not and I recommend not trying to provoke him."

"No, even if I lose I want to fight him and prove that nobles are superior!"

Nozel signed at his twisted brother pondering how they could have lost the kindness of their mother. He couldn't control them nor does he know how to stop them from being this arrogant. 

His only hope was Noelle's who not only have the face of their mother but the heart as well. Nozel decided to leave her to Caelum even though it hurts. 

Meanwhile, Caelum was busy observing the changes that occured within his body and found that he had gotten more collective than before. He was less prone to emotional swings and had more keen intellect. Though he only fought a small amount of "Battle" was now capable of incredible analysis situations off of the battlefield and allowed him to be more deadly in the fight. 

[ In addition to that, your comprehension in certain areas has grown significantly. ] 

"It's incredible and despite not knowing the full capacity of my evolution, I understood them like my intuition had skyrocketed." 

He seems to act like how animals first born and instinctual know certain things. Caelum body seems to have changed and easily knows the 3 layers compositing it. Normally the body acts as a handicap when it comes to utilizing their power but he had slowly removed this limit. 

"Now I'm excited about the next evolution!"

"Glad to hear your enthusiasm. It won't be long for your strength to rise higher. Though, I recommend unliking your bloodlines."

"Bloodlines? As in plural?"

"Yes, you have more than one bloodline and might have more depending on what the future holds. "

Caelum is intrigued about the possibility of having numerous bloodlines that could prove beneficial for the future. It was then that a thought came to mind when the bloodline was discussed.

"Wait, would my bloodline evolve as well?"

"Of course, it would reach several stages until it reached a certain point."

[ You can already guess, we can't tell you how many evolution it will have. ]

"Actually, what you have told me is more than enough. At least I know what are the things that I'll need to concentrate on."

He set his sight to focus his base power before trying to unlock the bloodline within his body. It was a mystery where it is located among his 3 bodies that enclosed the soul. Caelum only ponders about the future before calling it a day.
