Chapter 15: Fallen Activity

Issei paid for the meal as the both of them prepared themselves, casting pre-combat magicks such as endurance boosters, enhancements, reinforcement, and other small magick they could keep up while they fought.

Once they had everything placed properly they began to follow the energy signature. A cloaking illusion to make it so humans avoided them made it easier to get through crowds, especially as it seemed that the person they were following was walking through a dense place.

It wasn't until they got further into the area did they come into what looked to be a small fair running. As they looked around Kiba used his elbow to lightly press into Issei to get his attention.

''Right there, standing next to the girl with the big yellow hat.''

''Yep, dressed like a Gothic teenager who's definitely 'not' going through a phase in their life? Got to be them, energy sense is picking them up as well... What are they doing?"

Issei focused his gaze, the Fallen wasn't someone he knew or had any information on. That also meant there were no service records for this Fallen. Was it a stray that was simply exploring? But even if so they should've warned the overseers of the town about their visit. Said overseers of Koah being Rias and Sona.

"Alright, we'll follow them. Worst case, we've got something we need to worry about, best case. Their just a loiterer that didn't know Koah was under Devil's influence."

''Understood Issei, terms of engagement?''

''Like usual, if they begin casting harmful magic, conjure a light spear, show their wings, or in any way attempt to show humans the supernatural and or attempt to engage us, we capture them. Aggressive force only authorized if they struggle with lethal intent.''

''Can I just say how glad I am to say you made ROE, Rules of Engagement?''

''It helps make it so we can avoid a possible international incident. Hopefully, my letter gets to Serafall to make it something more people use... Hell, I think the Devils should have the police force. Trained to strictly monitor and interview, but the nobles would never allow that. They prefer to stick to a 'Strong decide' mindset.''

''Well, doesn't that just mean you need to get strong and change i- Hold on, Issei do you smell that?''

Issei took a slow deep breath through his nose, trying to pick up on the scent, only starting to smell a very faint scent of blood, but it wasn't a small amount, it smelled almost as if someone coated a room with someone's insides.

Watching the Fallen, it seemed they noticed the smell too and seemed to grow scared.

Both Issei and Kiba looked at each other before nodding as they took off.

'Ddraig'

They ran down the street, down a few alleys before they suddenly broke into a side street, they followed the scent until they came to a normal-looking house. Issei sent out a scan before his face twisted a bit. ''Kiba, prepare for combat, there's an exorcist, a nun, and what looks to be a devil that's bleeding, pretty sure that trace is Sona's mark.''

Kiba took no hesitation as a sword birthed into his hand, aimed to fight against holy weaponry as they crashed through the door. Issei equipped his armor just as he sprinted down the hallway and rounded the corner.

Bursting through the living room door as it couldn't hold up to Issei's empowered strength.

His feet stepped directly into the blood, not caring to look as he took in the situation.

That's when it hit him all at once, the house, the blood, the scene before him. It was straight out of the anime, it just wasn't him in the situation, it was Saji.

"SAJI DUCK!" Issei bellowed, causing the wounded devil to suddenly pull his head down. Blade met the blade as Kiba was able to catch the light blade and deflect it to the side as Issei stepped forward. Ducking to the side as the man tried to fire the pistol he wielded, he got hit with a devastating temple blow.

The man's eyes clouded before starting to focus, only to immediately drop as another blow came directly after Kiba easily slipped forward at that moment and hit him again.

The silver-haired man dropped to the ground and Issei lowered, forcing the man into a deep sleep via magic. A simple spell but hard to get out of once you've already been knocked out.

''What are you two doing here?" Saji was holding his shoulder, breathing hard.

Kiba spoke, summoning a sword that weighed far too much and setting it onto the man so he wouldn't be able to move even if he woke up.

''You're on the southern border of our territory, we smelt the blood and came over. Are you fine?''

''Yeah... I just need a moment, don't harm the Nun, she isn't a part of this. The exorcist turned on her as well."

Issei looked over at the beautiful blond woman, it was Asia. Her face contorted in fear as she watched the horror of the bodies that were left in the man's wake.

Issei pulled his jacket off and threw it over her head to block the sight and to help cover her. Her breasts were bared out as her sacred cloth had been ripped off her.

"Come out of here girl, there is nothing more you can do."

Issei grabbed her, helping her out of the room and into the yard. He called Rias and Sona up as he placed a barrier around the area. It took a few minutes but eventually, everyone appeared just as Kiba and Saji were carrying the man out tied up and wrapped in Saji's sacred gear, the absorption line seeming to suck energy from the man that seemed to be helping Saji recover faster. Sona immediately walked over to them with her Peerage as Rias, Akeno, and Koneko all moved towards Issei and the girl.

''Issei, what happened? All we got was an emergency summons."
