Chapter 26: Chunin Combat Exam-final

As the three of them finished, they began to work on the seals on Gaara, the boy growling and roaring as they began to help fix what was wrong with him.

The seal would release micro chakra while he tried to sleep, causing nightmares and insomnia, also slowly turning his mind into a dark place.

Jiraiya growled gently as they worked. ''I always knew the seal users in Suna were bad, but I didn't think it'd be this bad...''

Sasuke chuckled softly. ''You ever think that we're just really good at seals? Not everyone can just say they know how to seal away a chakra beast.''

Jiraiya snickered. ''Guess you got a point brat... Alright, that should be enough.''

They all turned to look at the beast as it began to break apart back into sand, slowly fading away as the chakra no longer with an anchor began to dissipate.

The Hokage turned around and called barrier masters forth as they began to seal the area for purification.

When the Hokage turned around, he noticed that Sasuke was gone, he could admit he didn't know a lot about the eyes of the Uchiha, but he knew what those eyes were...

The kind of power they held, and further more, how someone goes through to obtain then.

He turned to look for Kakashi, only to find him gone as well, Sakura resting with a medical ninja as they helped her onto a stretcher.

The Hokage's face twisted a bit, a hand going to his stomach... There was a deep pit opening up, and he knew it wasn't a good feeling... Was he missing something?

Sasuke stood beside a cliff, within a cave with his arms crossed, Kakashi stood with him looking nervous as both Zabuza and Haku were with them.

''Sasuke... It's time?''

''We're are going to raid the Root Underground, I am going to go first under stealth as far as I can. Your three's job is to locate intel, and to prove my actions... Once I enter this gave, I am a possible enemy of Konoha until proven to have a proper motive for taking action so quickly... Kakashi? Thank you for trusting me to this extent.''

''If you are wrong Sasuke... You will be branded a traitor, and hunted down for the rest of your life, you know this right?''

Kakashi nodded before suddenly Sasuke got enveloped by the earth as he was rapidly pulled down.

Kakashi and the others began to move once he was gone.

Within a cave below, Sasuke landed beside two Root agents as he entered the cave below. They said nothing, simply standing there.

Sasuke gave them a nod before he follow them into the cave, through twists and turns, hidden passages, and under a large amount of security that occasionally Sasuke would toss a coin down without the root realizing. The coin would camouflage itself, only those who knew what they were looking for would be able to find it. He would also set coins down on certain seal formations that would come across that would activate after delay, it would only disrupt the formations to allow someone to pass through without being spotted, or sensed with the seals.

Eventually, Sasuke was before Danzo who sat in his own version of the Hokage's chair in the Hokage tower.

Danzo grinned as he stood, opening his arm towards Sasuke. ''Sasuke Uchiha! The Last Uchiha, it is so good that you decided to take my help... With my help, I will make sure you gain the edge, and strength so you make take vengeance against your brother with your own hands! Come, there are a few things you must go through first, so I know that you are still loyal to the village! Just a precaution of course!''

The moment Danzo's back turned, Sasuke's eyes shifted into their Mangekyo form, suddenly he moved, the time stop and his speed made him move at unbelievable speeds as he was able to not only get the arm from Danzo with Hashirama cells and the eyes but also get the eye out of his skull, sealing it away after making sure that none of them were activated.

Standing there Sasuke glared at Danzo frozen in time, moments seeming to pass before he reached forward and stabbed him with his blade, straight through the heart. Being sure to twist the blade brutally and then slash outwards, making sure the heart couldn't recover.

Just as that finished did time suddenly resume. Blood violently sprayed everywhere at the sudden pressure as it was released.

The root's all stopped moving at the sudden display before they all went still.

Sasuke raised a brow before he kneeled down, covered in the blood of Danzo as he began to rummage through his clothes before tearing off the bandages, he noticed the seal controlling the seal the root had. It was life activated, meaning when Danzo fell, the seal they once had deactivated, leaving them like motionless puppets.

Taking his seat on the fake Hokage throne, he relaxed, resting his blade against the side of the chair as he sat there covered in blood. Using a few water-release jutsu to clean himself and his sword properly before he rested. Letting his eyes return to normal before they closed, he felt no strain in their activation. No blood had started to drip from them either during their activation, that was at least a good sign.
