“We start now, shall we?” As Husby announced his intentions, he immediately sprinted towards Naell.
That brief moment was accompanied by a flurry of attacks from Wifey, who with her aura yanked and threw projectiles in Naell’s direction.
In response, Naell cast his crystallized ice magic and bombarded them with ice javelins.
However, as the ice merely shattered upon impact on the yeti's skin and left no mark whatsoever, Naell was reminded of how durable the duo was.
‘Ah right, they’re resistant to snow and ice…duh.’ Thus he forced his ice javelins to halt, while hovering with his crystalized snow to fall back at a safe distance.
That movement magic made the onlookers gaze in awe. Although Naell had used it fairly often in Taglagas, it was the first time they were seeing it being used like that.
“So it’s really true! Brother can fly!” Said Lily in pride, all the while Sebastian was having mixed feelings realizing Naell had seemed to have stepped further ahead of him.
The makeshift arena that was created by Lily and Sestra out of limestones that they procured beforehand, was constantly being repaired by them as well.
Further, a cement-like mixture made by the two of them mixed with Sebastian’s water magic allowed the arena to maintain its shape.
And that was the arena wherein the Yeti and Naell were currently fighting.
‘To think they’ve prepared this much…’ Naell thought while remembering his forewarnings of potentially damaging the environment (an excuse he said last minute to not start the spar).
Still, as much as Naell admired their planning, he was very dissatisfied with Owly’s fool-proof surprise. Then again, he couldn't really think of revenge at the moment since he was busy fending off the attacks of two powerful monsters.
While Husby was still in a distance that was comparably safe for a mage, Naell didn’t let himself forget how fast the two were in their previous bout.
And at the very moment that he thought of that, it was Wifey who got closer to him. Coating her fist with aura, she aimed at Naell's body as swiftly as possible.
However, as Wifey was anticipating a hit, Naell disappeared only to reappear behind her, blasting a straight pillar of wind magic. It followed the direction of her punch and caused her to be pulled forward.
As she was being blown away, Wifey was in disbelief as to what had happened, but only the onlookers and Husby saw what transpired.
Just when Naell was about to be hit by her fist, he shattered the snow crystal on his foot to make himself fall. Quickly, it turned into a powder of snow that obstructed Wifey’s sight.
And as that happened, she mistook it for teleportation or something else entirely.
The wind pressure increased Wifey’s distance with Naell. However, that was not enough to push her out of the arena nor make her fall.
Knowing the conditions to win in their sparring session, Naell was disappointed with his lackluster move, yet he had no room to sulk.
It was afterall their agreement that for the bout to end, the Yeti must hit Naell’s mana shield with any attack, or Naell must make one of the Yeti fall on the arena.
Truthfully, as much as he wanted to lose, he wouldn't dare to as he still wanted to look cool for his little sister.
‘Gotta act like a big bro.’ Naell thought to himself with a now focused expression. That was when the tide of the battle immediately changed.
Upon dodging another attack from Husby, Naell started picking up his pace. He grew more aggressive using multiple types of wind magic; as his water, snow, and ice magic were ineffective against the Yetis.
[ Gale ] and even [ Tempest ], spells that could only be used by high-ranking magicians were cast and were able to slow the advances of the sturdy furry Yetis.
Yet unlike the usual “strong wind” which was the main characteristic of the two spells, the highlight of how Naell was using those high-level spells was its quantity.
Upon continuously dodging and floating with some distance from his foes, Naell would leave multiples of the same disruptive spells in his path.

Slowly, most of the entire arena was roaring with the sound of tumultuous winds, both high up and on the ground.
Naell was chaotically filling the entire arena with [ Gale ] and [ Tempest ] alike, that they began growing indistinguishable and seemingly formed a new massive aoe spell entirely.
At that moment, all the onlookers gawked at Naell, he who at first was on the defensive, now seemed to be casting magic as swiftly as the wind.
It was a sight Sebastian could not take his eyes off. He knew very well that wind magic, a free flowing element of nature, was difficult to cast simultaneously.
Yet it was as if Naell had nature at his very fingertips, even after conjuring a monstrous amount of spells that threatened to engulf everything but him, he was not even fazed at all.
By then, two powerful monsters that supposedly were Naell’s match (as they nullified his primary elements of ice and snow), now seemed like they were being toyed with by an untouchable mage.
[ Ridiculous… ] Said the siblings Estra and Sestra who at last could only leave their mouths agape, unable to fully grasp what they were seeing.
Whilst Owly and Lily were admiring Naell’s craft like the others, the two were not even considering that the growing wind magic might leave that arena.
By its growing scale, it threatened to grow big enough to engulf Beryldot and the nearing villages.
“Alicia… She’s truly your son.” Sebastian could only utter those words seeing the cheeky smile of Naell who floated about while pulling off much complex magic without breaking a sweat.
Upon realizing how painful it would be to get devoured by the powerful wind that engulfed the arena, Husby and Wifey collectively shouted their loss as they stared at the disastrous calamity that was supposed to befall them.
“Lost! Tis your win! Both us surrender!”
Seeing the number of spells and the prickling sensation that was penetrating their hardened fur, both yetis knew they would not over-power the mana of the dragon-like existence that was Naell Beryldot.
Much like how easily Naell summoned all that magic, it only took a snap of his fingers to erase all of it. He then said, “I win.”
“...”
And that was how the fight ended.

Everyone was impressed and terrified by Naell’s magic. Further, his control that prevented his combination of terrorizing wind from wreaking havoc in other places (and the Grassy plains itself) was just as memorable.
Not only were the grass and flowers still intact after everything, but the magic also disappeared without a trace. Even those who witnessed it could only second guess if that was illusion magic.
But when Naell said, “Ah well in a real battle it can’t be used like that, yet since it was just sparring I had spare time to concentrate, so I took the liberty of not damaging nature..?”
While Owly had a proud look as if he was the one who taught Naell, Lily nodded with twinkling eyes even though she herself didn’t entirely understand.
For the rest of them, Naell’s satisfied look that was unfazed by his earlier display of ridiculous control, made the Yetis and adults laugh dryly. Afterall, they were the only ones truly impacted by that experience.
Little did Naell know, because of how he wanted to act cool in front of his sister, a rumor had spread that the son of the [ Witch of Winter ] was now on the fast track to succeeding his mother.
