The first glimmer of light gashes through the curtains on the window and tumbles on the complexion of a young man resting in a room packed with litter and forces him to divert his concentration from the mobile.

"Oh crap, it's already dawn, half of the match is yet to be finished" he says, glimpsing out the window where the entirety of the sky was replenished with yellow glow.

After gazing at the mobile for a few winks, he reluctantly gets off the mattress. But as soon as he tries to take his step forward, his vision becomes blurred and the following moment he drops to the floor.

"shit, where the hell am I?" As soon as I open my eyes I locate myself standing in an empty white chamber. This chamber, which was sealed from all flanks, had neither a window nor a gate.

Thud.

A headless figure unexpectedly appeared in semblance of me with a loud noise, and announced, "Welcome to the world of the Devil hidden in the shadow, dear player."

'Devil in the shadow, holdup, isn't that the title of the game which I was playing a while back?' I thought in surprise.

"Yes, you are clearly right, dear player. Out of millions of contenders you have been chosen by the angel of R-18 to transmigrate in this world." The headless shadow whispers.

"What do you mean by contenders? I've never filled out any type of crappy form." I mumbled while glancing over its non-existent skull.

"But didn't the player enunciate that he wished to live the life of the main character?" The headless shadow snapped his finger and a scene where I was declaring all those weird things appeared in front of me.

"Delete, Delete it right now bitch. I am volunteering to go wherever you want me to so just delete that crass thing." I said in loathing. yeah, it was me in the video but I never scarcely had any belief that I had that kinda gape in my eyes.

'Look at that bastard he's practically drooling on the bed.' I thought disgustingly.

"Don't worry dear player, the second you click that translucent switch this video will fade away into nothingness and you'll get transmigrated into the main character's adult body where he'd merely graduated from the royal academy." The headless shadow whispered.

"what about those in-game features, will I retain those or I'll be going to get transmigrated without them?" I inquired as the mc's system was an outstanding figure in the game.

"Of course, but there'll be absolute conditions which you'll need to fulfil to unlock the system's entire capabilities." The headless shadow whispered.

"And one last query. Will I remember my past life or not?" I asked as I've completed the game throughout two seasons, so those memories were relatively valuable.

"Yes, you will." As soon as I heard the thing I wished for to hear most, I immediately clicked the switch and my consciousness got sucked into a warp.

The Devil in shadow was a visual fiction R-18 game established in the mediaeval era, where the main character is the son of a Baron who has some barren lands bestowed upon him by his majesty royal highness.

The baron delinquently takes part in a scheme made by the king's little brother to dethrone him as he was displeased with his existing life but things go awry and he never returns from the royal capital.

Later that aspect the MC had to take the whole responsibility when he returned from the royal academy and quite coincidentally he was now thrown at the beginning of the story.

"Lucian, master Lucian, we've arrived." I got up from infinite slumber as I heard somebody calling me.

Yawn…

I opened my eyes and saw a youthful warrior clad in blue armour.

"What happened, M-miguel?" I asked, the dude looked precisely as he looked in the game.

"Sir, we've reached our destination." Miguel said while opening the curtains of the carriage.

Startled by the hasty realisation I peeked out of the carriage's window and the messy Estate unfolds in my vision.

'No shit sherlock, this is the fundamental excuse why he attempted to help that bastard overthrow his majesty..' I thought, as the vicinity around the estate was nowhere comparably, convenient for a baron liking.

'So this is where I start, huh.' I thought while striding out of the carriage.

After seizing a sharp glance around the vicinity, I scurried inside the estate where a bunch of soldiers, an old butler and a bunch of maids were deferring for my arrival.

"Master Lucian has arrived." the concierge announced upon my arrival.

'Is that really necessary?' I thought awkwardly as the game too had this kind of weird setting.

Later walking down to the large room I sat down on a red sofa while closing my eyes from exhaustion. A wink later a lady dressed in maid attire came in front of me while carrying a silver tray replenished with refreshments.

She bent down in front of me while flashing her milky white separation, then she set the silver tray on the table and stepped aside while waiting for my order.

"Ahem, you can go back and send butler hans here on your way back." I ordered as her heavy sight was creating things a little awkwardly.

For ordinary peeps, she was merely another beauty who they wished for to have even if they had to clash for her in a deathmatch but in truth, she was an lv3 assassin drilled by his late mother to safeguard Lucian if her husband attempts to put an end to her dear son's life.

'what a messy household I had truly.' The recollection started giving me a headache.

Gradually waiting for Hans' arrival I picked up a beverage from the tray and started sipping it down, "Hoh, it's lemon tea, noice." I couldn't help but mumble as the lemon tea was my only comrade in my arm in the past life when all I did was laze around while playing games.

Even after dropping out of university, there were no modifications in my life as I had a fairly enormous sum of cash lying around in the bank so there was no anxiety to work and earn a living.

"Sigh, this life is taking off to be tough for someone like me." I couldn't help but let out as I saw Hans walking toward me.
