Chapter 3: Another One 1.3

-Gyari POV-

Gyari always thought she was the hero, the main character of this story.

She was born a star. She always got what she wanted. The adults loved her and she had a lot of followers as well.

The world revolves around her. She was "The True Heroine."

She had always thought that but one day she met another one. She was surprised by the brilliance she saw one winter day.

She was stunned. There could never be two protagonists so she sought to acquire the brilliant Kuromu-chan.

She had always thought that she was the only protagonist but she was hit by the sparkle of Kuromu-chan. But even then she only thought that there would only ever be two of them.

But then she found another one. And this one was right in front of her.

Black straight hair that reached her waist. Sharp, beautiful features. Her form represented absolute grace.

Then her voice sounded. It was a beautiful voice that accented the catchy song she was singing. She would swear later on, that she could see the notes dancing in the air. That her life had frozen to a standstill, morphed into the color black and white.

At once, her tempo increased. Time sped up at the moment. Colors splashed back to reality. Her heart raced. Her eyes swirled with new light. Gyari was shocked.

[I want her~!]

She looked at the star on the stage. As the song reached its peak, the suddenness of the music, came to a slow end which she found herself dreading.

[I desire her~!]

As her song came to end, it was like a spell had been lifted. There was abrupt, immutable silence.

Then ear-shattering applause.

[I really really want her~!]

The judges started whispering to each other. Their face looked surprised, amazed even.

But Gyari didn't pay attention to them. Her eyes were locked on the figure descending the stage.

[I would have her~!]

Gyari approached Nyx and said.

"Be mine!"

-Nyx POV-

"Be mine!" Gyari walked up to me and said in a strong voice.

"Huh?" It was the only thing I could say in face of Gyari's sudden declaration.

"I want you to be mine. I have decided to have you by my side." Gyari said the ridiculous notion.

Looking at the crazed look in her eyes, I gave her the only sensible answer that made sense.

"NO." Even I have not had this body for a single day and someone already wants it. Scary...Was the charm of this body that good?

"I will make you change your mind. You better believe it." Saying that Gyari sat down in the seat.

I was a bit stunned by the sudden change in the plot. In the original, Gyari was obsessed with Kuromu. But it seems that she had also taken interest in me.

*Sigh*

I have not been here for a single day and I have already altered one of the events in the plot. But I was not that worried, Gyari was but a minor character in the canon. Moreover, it seems impossible to not be involved in the canon if I want to reach my goal.

Just as I was sighing, the three judges seemed to have finished their analysis and presented the result.

Mrs.Meri stood up and went to the stage. Her grey eyes shone through her glasses as she took the mike with her hand.

Mrs. Meri looked at us for a moment before her eyes met mine and I swear I saw some kind of shine in them.

"All of your performances have been very good. We have decided to sign the contract with five of you today. Those who have failed, please don't be let down. All of you have shown promise."

The tension seemed to rise in an instant with the words spoken by the single-horned woman. Contracting five means, eight of us will be sent home today.

Mrs. Meri cleared her throat and continued, "I will call the name of those who have been selected. Rena Ris, Melona, Mavis, Gyari, and...Nyx Grace. Those whose name had been called out, please follow us."

I made it~

I mentally fist-bumped.

I got up from my seat along with the other four and made our way toward the previous room we were in. Along the way, I was bombarded with questions.

"Hey, where did you learn to sing like that?" A blue-haired girl asked.

"Which school did you go to?" A short dark haired girl asked.

"Were you from another agency?" Red-haired girl in twin tails.

I was admittedly a bit overwhelmed so I diverted the topic to another place.

"We should go right?" I spoke while pointing at the leaving judges with a dry smile.

"Yes." The three then hurriedly walked to catch up to the judge.

Now if only Gyari can stop looking at me like I am a piece of meat.
