Skyleane and Jane soon reached the entrance of the hall and found Rose standing there waiting for the two of them. She knew that it would be very difficult for the two of them to find her in the hall and she didn't want to eat her lunch with others so she decided to wait on them.

Jane just smiled looking at Rose which resulted in Rose avoiding her eye after a second of making eye contact with her.

"Thanks for waiting for us Rose. let's go inside." Jane said as they all went inside the dining hall and took their seats.

With Jane at the centre, Skyleane both Rose and Jane took seats on either side of Jane as they all started eating.

In between, Jane turned towards Rose who was drinking water to allow the easy passage of the food she just ate down her throat and said "Rose, do you know that in imperial times the Queen used to sit on the right side of the King?"

"Yes, it happens even now. Why you're telling me this though," Rose asked in a confused manner.

Jane showed a wide grin to Rose as she said "Guess who's sitting on my right side now."

Rose paused for a second to think over what Jane meant before embarrassment took over her face. Seeing such a reaction Jane couldn't help but chuckle seeing as she said "You look so cute when you're embarrassed, makes me want to make you mine even more." Which made Rose drop down her face, even more, to hide her now red face.

"I think we should hurry up as it's gonna be time for our next class pretty soon." Skyleane butted in.

"Yeah, you're right Skyleane. We better hurry." Jane shifted her attention back to her food and started eating. Rose who had now calmed down looked at Skyleane and nodded at her to show her appreciation. Skyleane smiled and nodded at her in return. After finishing their lunch Jane and Rose bid goodbye to Skyleane. Jane hugged Skyleane as she said, "Wait for me at the academic building's entrance after classes, if I'm early I'll do the same."

"Alright, Skyleane said as she hugged Jane back though she was still a bit embarrassed doing that right in front of Rose.

Finally letting her go Jane went to attend the practical class along with Rose. Professor Numen begin the practical classes by giving thirty minutes to the students to again meditate and circulate their mana all over their bodies so that those students who were lazy and didn't practice it at home could once again do it before he teach them other things.

The students all sat down like yesterday and did as they were earlier instructed by Professor Numen.

After the thirty minutes familiarisation session was over Professor Numen handed a sheet of blank paper to all the students and said "This right here, is a mana paper. It's receptive to mana so it will react easily to the mana that you put into it. Your job today is to guide your mana from your hands to the paper.

The paper will react to the nature of your mana and will let you know whether you're successful or not. For example, if your mana is of a wind nature your paper will start waving while in your hand and in a similar manner it will do so for other natures, I believe you're all smart enough to understand that.

With that Professor Numen sat on his seat as he saw the students discussing some things with each other before sitting down and busying themselves in guiding their mana towards the mana paper.

Jane was sitting right beside Rose. She looked at the paper and said to Rose. "Rose wanna do a bet?"

"What bet?" Rose asked

"How about teaching me about what I missed in Professor Erica's class if I could imbue my mana faster than you inside the mana paper," Jane said.

"Interesting, so what would I get if I win?" Rose asked to which Jane replied.

"What do you want? my body? I'm all yours" Hearing Jane, Rose couldn't help but be embarrassed again and said, "You've done this a lot today so let's do this, you'll not be teasing me anymore like this if I win this bet."

Jane thought over it a bit and said "Alright, fair enough. So let's start then" With that both Jane and Rose sat down on the ground and started focusing on the mana paper trying their best to imbue it inside.

Jane started by doing what she had done before that is feeling the flow of the mana inside her. The windy nature of her mana made sure to keep her refreshed while she was doing it. After familiarizing herself with her mana pathways she now focused on mentally guiding most of her mana on the hand in which she was holding the paper. It took a while for her to do it and after a bunch of trials and error, she could finally guide her mana towards the desired place.

Seeing that her mana had gathered on her hand Jane tried to make it go towards the paper slowly. She had tried doing it fast earlier and lost connection with the mana string so she was now taking her time. Slowly and steadily Jane's mana entered the mana paper before she heard the loud noise of paper flapping. Opening her eyes Jane saw the mana paper in her hand flapping wildly due to the insertion of her mana inside it.

The noise coming from her mana paper gained the attention of the rest of the students as well because she was the first one to succeed at doing this. Rose who was sitting beside Jane also looked at it in a sour mood because she lost her bet to Jane but deep down she was happy for her friend.

"That's quite admirable Miss Jane, You're one of the quickest ever to do this task in this academy till now." Professor Numen said.

"Thank you, Professor Numen, I was just lucky and got it right somehow," Jane said. Hearing Jane Professor Numen chuckled as he said "Luck is also a skill young one. Since you've already finished today's assignment you can go home if you like to or you can stay here."

Jane nodded after hearing Professor Numen and decided to wait for Rose to complete the assignment. After forty more minutes, Rose also succeeded in the task and got praised by Professor Numen. Apparently, from the looks of it, Jane and Rose were the most skilled in this class. Jane and Rose then tagged along towards the exit of the academic building where they bid each other goodbye and then Jane waited for Skyleane at the entrance of the academic building.
