Chapter 3: Chapter 3

After making James sit on the chair Skyleane said "Wait for a few more minutes breakfast is almost ready." Having nothing else to do James just looked around the house while waiting. There was a picture of Skyleane with two women. One looked like her mother and the other must be her sister.

 Soon Skyleane arrived carrying a warm soup along with a few slices of bed for me. Seeing me staring at the potrait she said  as she placed the food on the table "Oh, those are my mother and elder sister."

 "I see. You all look good together." James nodded and said. Hearing that Skyleane's expression turned happy as she said with a voice filled with energy "I know right! After earning enough money to pay for our livelihood I'll go back to my town to spend my time with my family."

 "I hope that will happen soon." James said as he admired the happy expression on the face of the beauty sitting next to him.

 "I hope so aswell, but being an adventurer is much harder and dangerous than I thought." She sighed and continued "Oh, you must be hungry my bad. Here's the food eat it while it's still hot."

 James was indeed quite hungry so with great delight he tasted the soup only to spit it out because of its bland taste. "What is it not good?" Skyleane asked with a worried gaze a she looked at James.

 "No, it's good, it was just too hot for me..." James lied. After that he invested himself fully in finishing the soup.

 Looking at James being so engrossed while drinking the soup that she had prepared made Skyleane quite pleased. After a while as if remembering something she asked. "Jane so where is your home? If it's not far I don't mind accompanying you till their." 

James had already prepared what he needed to say. He placed his hand on his head where a bandage had been tied and said "I-I can't remember. Apart from my name I don't remember anything."

Skyleane couldn't help but get sad at the plight of Jane. Not only did she get raped my monsters for who knows how long but after surviving the calamity she even lost her memory.

"I believe you will get your memory back soon enough Jane. Don't lose hope." Skyleane paused and continued "How about staying with me until you get your memory back? Ofcourse if you're not comfortable then that's understandable."

"Well...after you've helped me so much I don't want to inconvenience you so much but it's true that I've got no idea about myself...so I'll be in your care Skyleane. I truly appreciate your kindness." James said.

"As I said earlier since I saved you I'll take care of you till the end. No need to feel burdened you know." Skyleane said as she also finished her breakfast.

"I'll be sure to return this kindness in the future." James said seriously. 

Skyleane smiled and said " I'll be waiting for it then." and then started cleaning the table. Seeing that James wanted to help her she told him to rest for today so that his wounds don't get worsened.

Since it did hurt a lot James agreed. After a while after being guided back to the bed Skyleane sais "I'll be going to the adventure guild to take another mission for today. I'll return by afternoon."

"Alright Stay safe Skyleane." James said to which She replied while smiling "I will, don't worry Jane."

After getting ready Skyleane saw me one last time before going. She was wearing knee high brown boots followed by tight clothings to allow quick movements. She carried a bow on her back and a quicker to carry the arrows.

While waiting for Skyleane to return James rested his body while thinking about what he should do in the future.
