The people from the Korean embassy came chasing right after Xia Lei’s foot crossed the threshold of Thunder Horse Military Factory. The group consisted of many people, including civil servants, and several police officers in charge of this case. Accompanying them was a black Hyundai limousine which just parked by the side of the road near the main gates; no doors were opened.

Ahn Suhyeong was in this car and he was in the foulest of moods.

Other than the chauffeur, the car also had two Koreans in it; one man, one woman. The man was in his early thirties and had a robust, healthy body. The woman looked to be in her twenties. She was a beautiful woman with a smoking hot figure and delicate features which drew eyes. They were both expressionless but ruthlessness lurked in their eyes and they had a negative aura about them which was very different from the aura of normal people.

The man was named Cha Gori and the woman was named Kim Jiyeon. They were both people who specialised in doing the dirty deeds of the Ahn family, like the Gu clan’s Dong Wu, Qin Qi and Danny.

Ahn Suhyeong was truly incensed this time, and that was why he had brought Cha Gori and Kim Jiyeon with him.

In the limousine, Ahn Suhyeong leaned close to the window to watch the people from the Korean embassy talk with the military men at the gates. When he saw that they were still unable to gain permission to enter and carry out an investigation, the flames of his anger burst out of control. “Fuck, how much longer? The Korean consulate is here but those two soldiers are actually not letting them in!”

Sometimes national pride was not pride but arrogance when it got to a certain degree.

Several minutes later, the situation at the military factory gates was still the same - the people from the Korean embassy were still not able to go in but the number of soldiers had increased.

“Looks like they can’t enter,” said Cha Gori.

“That Chinese punk sure is sly,” said Kim Jiyeon. Her voice was gentle, sweet. Just her voice alone was quite seductive.

Ahn Suhyeong pushed the car door open. “Let’s go take a look. I don’t believe that the Korean embassy can’t enter to catch a criminal, even with policemen!”

Cha Gori and Kim Siyeon exchanged glances, then alighted and followed Ahn Suhyeong to the gates of Thunder Horse Military Factory.

The swelling in Ahn Suhyeong’s face had gone down but there were still marks on his face.

Cha Gori and Kim Jiyeon were behind him, one left, one right. One was tall and burly, the other small and petite; a picture of masculinity and femininity. Kim Jiyeon’s round buttocks were especially noteworthy, wrapped in a black miniskirt, plump and bouncing and wholly seductive.

Most men liked women like this because they could be held easily in their arms and would do whatever they wanted.

“What’s going on?” Ahn Suhyeong threw a fit as soon as he got to the gates. “Why aren’t you letting us in?”

“What do you take this place for? This is a military factory, with military secrets. You would all have been detained long ago for causing trouble if you weren’t staff of the Korean embassy,” said a soldier sternly.

“Yeah, I told you guys that this is not a normal place and we have no right to go in. I think we should first go back,” said a policeman.

“Go back? Our people were beaten up - are we supposed to just let it go?” said a embassy staff angrily. He had a different attitude when Ahn Suhyeong was not here, and grew arrogant when he turned up, all to suck up to Ahn Suhyeong.

The team leader of the policemen was better tempered. He did not get angry but smiled and said, “Okay then, you guy continue your talk. We’ll get going now.”

“You-” The embassy staff was so angry he could not speak.

These police officers had received the report to arrest Xia Lei and were just going through the process. No one was going to actually do it unless he was a fool.

“Let me tell you - if you don’t hand Xia Lei over today we will protest to your Foreign Ministry through the embassy!” Ahn Suhyeong was hopping mad.

The team leader and his team of policemen pretended not to hear. One of them, a fatty, even made a call to his wife to ask her to make dumplings stuffed with leek.

Just then, a gaudily-dressed man came riding to the gates on a segway. It was Thunder Horse Military Factory’s ‘Tigress’, Qin Xiang. People who first saw him would think he was a woman - and the sort of woman one would want a one-night stand with too.

“What happened?” Qin Xiang stopped the segway and said in shrill annoyance, “What do these people want?”

A soldier gave him a brief summary.

Qin Xiang put one hand on his hip and pointed at Ahn Suhyeong with the other as he said, “I thought it was something serious but you just want money for medical fees after being beaten up. Name your price, then. How much?”

“Insolence!” Ahn Suhyeong was incensed. “Would I, Ahn Suhyeong, need to demand money for medical fees? You bastard!”

“Who’re you calling ‘bastard’?” Qin Xiang’s retort was swift, “Go back where you came from, I tell you. What do you think this place is? It’s not a place for you Koreans to display such shockingly bad behaviour.”

The embassy staff was provoked too and he said angrily, “Get Xia Lei out here to assist in the investigation or we will protest to your Foreign Ministry.”

Qin Xiang waved his hand. “Go, go. You can go protest to the United Nations too.”

“You…” The embassy staff was so angry he could not speak. He’d always been superior - how could he be ignored like this now!

“Get out here!” Cha Gori pointed at Qin Xiang, his eyes cold.

Qin Xiang quirked his lips and laughed. “What’s that tweet-tweet? I don’t understand.”

“Come out. We’ll talk.” Kim Jiyeon spoke this time. She had a smile on her face and looked warm and gentle but a close look at her eyes showed a cold glint of killing intent.

Cha Gori had spoken in Korean and Kim Jiyeon in Chinese. Qin Xiang heard them clearly. These two Koreans were challenging him, and on his turf too. Anger flared in his heart and he hopped off the segway to walk towards the door.

“Come back.” Xia Lei finally showed himself. He was dressed in blue work clothes and had safety gloves on; the image of a blue-collar worker.

Flames were practically spitting from Ahn Suhyeong’s eyes at the sight of Xia Lei.

Cha Gori and Kim Jiyeon looked at Xia Lei and their eyes seemed to be memorising all his characteristics.

Xia Lei walked leisurely to the gates, sweeping his gaze over the people beyond the gates and finally settling it on Ahn Suhyeong. “Ahn Suhyeong, what did you bring these people here for?”

“I said this was not over. You have to pay for what you did.”

“What payment do you want?”

“I won’t ask for much.” Ahn Suhyeong sneered, “You just have to kneel and apologise.”

“Or else?”

“Or else I’ll escalate this to the point where you cannot take it.”

“Are you talking about the protest?” Xia Lei laughed. “You can go right now and protest at any place you wish, and to anyone. You can get someone to guide you too if you don’t know where to go.”

Ahn Suhyeong turned to the police officers who were staying out of it and said angrily, “What’s this? The criminal is right in front of you! What are you waiting for? Why aren’t you arresting him?”

The team leader spoke, “Well, he has to come out first for that to happen. We have no authority to go in.”

“Bastard! How are you doing your job? Are you all still considered policemen?” Ahn Suhyeong let loose with a scolding.

The team leader was angered. “Who’re you scolding a ‘bastard’? Who do you think you are? Must we listen to you? What’s this bullshit!”

“You…” Ahn Suhyeong pointed a finger at the policeman, so angry he could not speak.

“This is a public security case. We’re already being very courteous in coming here to investigate and you’re scolding us? Fine, solve it yourself. Team, let’s go!” The team leader was true to his word and he went off. The policemen didn’t want to be here and they all left promptly.

Only the few Koreans were left at the gates in the blink of an eye.

The Koreans couldn’t keep their faces calm any longer and they were in the worst of moods. They felt that it was a matter of course for Xia Lei to be taken away for investigation and it would be no trouble. Furthermore, there were reports from time to time on the internet that some foreigner threw a bicycle in some place, and the police found it in a few hours even though the foreigner had thrown the protective covering away, they had sifted through rubbish to find it*. But why were the police just staying out of this now? They were highly ineffective and even taunted them!

Xia Lei laughed. “Ahn Suhyeong, I would take it as if nothing happened if I were you. I’d learn my lesson too and stop trying to do things which cannot be done.”

“You won’t be smug for long!” said Ahn Suhyeong fiercely.

The embassy staff next to Ahn Suhyeong took out his mobile phone. He looked at Xia Lei as if to tell him with his eyes that he was going to call a certain someone.

Xia Lei spoke disinterestedly, “Make the call if you want and protest all you want. I hear the Koreans love their pride. I wonder how hard a knock your pride will get when this matter gets reported in the media? I did hit someone but it’s just a case of public security. Even if you guys push for the maximum, the most I’d have to do is to pay some medical fees, or be detained for a day. Do what you want. I can’t be bothered with you.” He turned and left.

Qin Xiang got on his segway, but stuck his middle finger up at Ahn Suhyeong before he left.

“Damn you!” Ahn Suhyeong rushed at the door.

“Halt!” A soldier raised the assault rifle in his hands immediately and pointed it at Ahn Suhyeong.

Ahn Suhyeong stopped in his tracks and didn’t dare to take one step further.

He was fit to burst with rage. He had come to cause trouble for Xia Lei but had not expected that this action of his to get a number of people involved to end up in bringing trouble to himself.

Ahn Suhyeong watched Xia Lei’s disappearing back and he grit his teeth so hard they clacked. His eyes were terrifyingly cold.

“Let’s go, Young Master,” said Cha Gori in Korean. “This is a place under military protection. We can’t do anything to him. We can only wait for him to come out to do something.”

Ahn Suhyeong replied in Korean, “I want him dead!”

Kim Jiyeon drew close to Ahn Suhyeong’s ear and said in her sweet, seductive voice, “He won’t live for long. We have plenty of opportunities.”

Ahn Suhyeong seemed to believe in the capabilities of Cha Gori and Kim Jiyeon. A faint sneer appeared in the corners of his lips. “Let’s go!”

And so the curtain fell on this drama.
