“I’m gonna kill them!” Yelena lunged forward wildly, using the trunk as her cover while she fired her rifle.
“Come back!” Xia Lei roared. “It’s too dangerous!”
As soon as he finished his sentence, Yelena fell onto the ground.
“No—!” Xia Lei was going crazy.
Anjum Khan pulled out a Hellbound One-soldier Cannon, loaded it with gunpowder and fired it towards the enemy territory.
Two of the agents from the FA organization were blown to the sky. One of them was blown into pieces, his intestines, internal organs, broken fingers and bone fragments scattered onto the ground.
Upon seeing this, the remaining four agents from the FA organization had a mental breakdown. A Hellbound One-soldier Cannon is equivalent to a small-sized tank. Defending it with their weapons was not a feasible task.
The four agents gave up the bear meat, retreating into the deep forest as they blindly fired their firearm.
“Retreating? I don’t believe you have permission for that.” Xia Lei sneered as he slipped his fingers into the triggers of his XL2500 sniper rifle.
Bang!
In an instant, an armour-piercing bullet passed through a trunk and drove into the chest of an agent from the FA organization. Although the force of the bullets was dampened by the trunk, the body of the agent was still lifted upon the force. His head was split into two before he fell on the ground again.
It was suicide going against the most powerful Sniper on the battlefield.
Bang! Bang!
At the same time, Anjum Khan and Sa’im also fired their guns.
Another two agents from the FA organization fell on the ground after the shots were fired.
Anjum Khan was using a gust assault rifle, but had positioned himself like a sniper. He was the sharpshooter of the Chinese Zodiac Battle Team. This shot was enough to prove his strength.
And so, the six initial agents were reduced to one.
Alessio was prepared to shoot the last remaining agent. However, Xia Lei stopped him. “Leave him alive, he’ll bring us to Dark Mona’s hideout. We need him to notify Dark Mona of our presence.”
Alessio shrugged. “What a drag, I didn’t come here to travel.”
At this time, the Grey and Russo sisters, who were hiding, approached them.
“Boss, what should we do about them?” Anjum Khan pointed at Tsukino Kyoko’s corpse that was lying on the ground. Shortly after, his gaze fell on Yelena’s corpse. Sadness was written all over his face.
Xia Lei sighed. “This is a battleground. We don’t have time to deal with the corpses. I’m sure they’ll understand. Let’s go, we need to catch up with that guy to find Dark Mona.”
The Grey and Russo sisters drew a cross in front of their torso and recited reverently. “Merciful father, you chose them…”
Xia Lei interrupted them. “Let’s go, we don’t have time to waste. They were not Catholic anyway.”
Giovanna glared at Xia Lei. “Everyone is equal in the eyes of the lord. All men are his people and he has compassion for all mankind.”
Stella added, “They died for you. Don’t you have any gratitude for them?”
Xia Lei replied. “Then you all can stay for the ceremony, we’re leaving.”
The members from the Chinese Zodiac Battle Team followed Xia Lei.
The Grey and Russo sisters exchanged a glance, then decided to give up. They followed after Xia Lei and his force towards the deep forest.
Giovanna turned around to take a glance at Yelena’s corpse. Then she whispered into the collar of her cold protective clothing. “He lost another ally…”
As the terrain of the forest started getting steeper, the skis were becoming a burden. Xia Lei and his force threw the skis but kept their heavy backpacks and continued to march towards the deep forest. Up ahead, about a kilometre away, was a very high mountain, with a glimmer of snow on top and forest covering the mountainside. The agent that they were following had left his trace on the snow, which extended towards the peak of the mountain.
“Is he taking the opposite direction?” Anjum Khan said. “Or maybe he’s leading us to a trap.”
“He has a communicator with him. He’ll inform Dark Mona on our whereabouts through the communicator. So, no matter where he takes us, we’ll meet Dark Mona. As long as we encounter Dark Mona, does it really matter if it is a trap?”
Anjum Khan was stunned for a while before he smiled. “Yes, right. We’re here to kill her, as long as she shows her face, that’s all that matters.”
Sa’im was worried before he heard Xia Lei’s words. But after hearing them, he relaxed. He remembered Xia Lei’s battle in West province Dawang. Xia Lei had successfully killed more than ninety agents, special forces, professional warriors and killers alone! What was there for him to worry about?
There was a reason why Xia Lei didn’t mind whether he’d been led to a trap or the hideout. He was able to see distances up to four kilometres with perfect vision. This was not achievable by any sniper even if they were with their binoculars. Besides, he had the X-ray vision, which allowed him to see everything clearly amid the forest. With these abilities, he didn’t have anything to worry about.
After travelling five hundred metres, Xia Lei suddenly raised one of his hands.
The four Chinese Zodiac Battle Team members immediately scattered around and looked for a hiding spot.
Xia Lei crouched under the trunk of a tree and waved to Giovanna, who was hiding behind.
Giovanna moved towards Xia Lei and whispered, “What do you want?”
“Didn’t we agree that your people should assist us as soon as they heard the gunshot? We’ve battled the people from the FA organization for so long now, why aren’t they coming?” Xia Lei asked.
“How…How should I know?” Giovanna was stuttering. “Perhaps, there were other emergencies.”
Xia Lei looked straight into Giovanna's eyes. “Are you guys lying? I had lost two men, but your men are hiding somewhere and refuse to come out to help! If this continues, why should I pay you the fifty million or hand over the relic at all?”

Giovanna avoided Xia Lei’s aggressive gaze. “I…I don’t know what’s happening, but I believe my people will not let you all face the battle alone. I promise you in the name of Knights Hospitaller.”
Xia Lei replied coldly, “Then I’m promising you in the name of a partner of Knights Hospitaller. If you’re playing tricks with me, you won’t get anything.”
“Boss! There’s a person in front!” Sa’im spoke with nervousness and anxiety.
Xia Lei had noticed the people in front some time ago. That was the reason he stopped his team from going forward.
Anjum Khan pulled out the XL2500 sniper rifle from his back. He aimed through the rifle, but shortly after he frowned and said. “It’s too far, trees are blocking the way, I cannot make the shot.”
When the target was too far, the bullets needed a considerable amount of time to reach the target. It was even more difficult in a setting with many obstacles. If the bullets were obstructed during the way, the target would hide before the bullets reach him. The rifle was not the ideal gun to use for battling in the forest. Thus, some snipers would bring a pistol with them as a secondary weapon.
Xia Lei suddenly stood up and aimed his gun towards that direction. In an instant, he pulled the trigger and fired a bullet without hesitation.
The sound of a gunshot rang throughout the air. A specially made armour-piercing bullet was shot, heading towards a trunk that was five hundred metres away and drove into it. Then, the agent that just moved behind the tree fell on the ground with a big hole on his chest.
Anjum Khan was shocked as he watched the scene unfold through his XL2500 sniper rifle, he suddenly forgot how to breathe.
Theresa, who was hiding behind Xia Lei, watched the scene through her binoculars. She was speechless with shock.
If Xia Lei ever claims to be second best, no one would dare claim that they were first.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Ta! Ta! Ta!
Restlessness grew among the FA organizations members. Some people blindly shot the tree line but it was useless.
Xia Lei whispered to his team. “Their organizations are left with nine people, three people are on the left, three people are on the right, while the remaining three are shooting us from the middle. Be prepared!”
Anjum Khan and Sa’im moved to the left.
Alessio and E’er Demutu moved to the right.
Giovanna had just got back to her senses. “The person you kept alive brought us to this trap. How did you find them before they even made the first move?”
Xia Lei pointed towards the sky. “The Lord guided me and helped me discover them earlier.”
Giovanna was speechless upon hearing his answer.
Xia Lei suddenly hugged Giovanna and they fell to the ground together.
Ka-boom!
A rocket hit the trunk they were near and exploded. The hot air it emitted was propelled to a far distance.
Xia Lei got up from the floor, raised his gun and pulled the trigger. He completed all these movements in a second. In this one second, the person who fired the rocket fell on the ground. A bullet from the XL2500 sniper rifle pierced half of his neck.
Theresa, who was observing the enemy situation with a pair of binoculars suddenly looked at Xia Lei. Her gaze was as if she had seen a monster.
Xia Lei patted on Giovanna’s booty with a smirk on his face. “You owe me your life. How about you give me a blow job tonight?”
It was a frivolous gesture, and his language was vulgar. However, Giovanna ignored him. Her mind was occupied with what happened earlier. She just couldn’t wrap her head around how Xia Lei found out about the person with the rocket. Xia Lei in the middle of a battle gave off a strange feeling to her. She felt that he wasn’t human. He was a god, a god with omnipresent and omnipotence!
At the same time, another question appeared in the mind of the Grey and Russo sisters. Was the Knights Hospitaller aware of what it meant to go against this person?
“Left side enemy clear!” Anjum Khan’s voice rang.
“Roger that, assist the right!” Xia Lei instructed.
Ka-boom! An explosion came from the left side, the smoke rose with the snow.
“Hello? Hello!” Xia Lei grabbed on the communicator and roared. “Are you guys okay? Answer me!”
No one answered.
“Damn it!” Xia Lei threw a punch on the tree in front of him. A piece of bark was torn off from the impact. His fist was wounded and bleeding.
“Boss! They’re retreating!” It was Alessio’s voice.
Xia Lei carried his XL2500 sniper rifle and rushed towards the enemy. “Kill them!”
The Grey and Russo sisters exchanged a glance and rushed out together with Xia Lei.
“He’s left with two people. The skills of his people are mediocre at best…” Giovanna lowered her voice.
“But…he is scarily powerful.”
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Amid the gunshot, a retreating agent from the FA organization fell onto the ground.
After eliminating a target, Alessio, who rushed forward let out a terrifying scream before he fell onto the ground.
