Chapter 163: 9.6 – Secrets of Tarin-Tiran

Robin slowly eased himself through the door. Drev had checked for wards, Jhess and Rerebos had scouted ahead and hadn’t found anything, but Savra’s divinations and Robin’s instincts said there was still great danger within.

Still, nothing ventured, nothing gained.

There was something here. There had to be. If they couldn’t see it, that just made it more dangerous, not less. Though didn’ the have some room to expand there? Robin quickly opened his character sheet and checked his experience levels.

Oh yeah. Plenty of points to play with.

He quickly maxed out both Perception and Insight, to give him the best chance of spotting anything hidden, then, to be safe, maxed out Stealth as well.

What else? He couldn’t quite afford to max out Dodge, but it might be useful. He could take Dodge up two ranks, Healing up three, or Arcane Lore up a single rank, and still have his emergency experience buffer.

Robin went with Dodge. An ounce of prevention was worth a pound of cure, after all, and both Vance and Drev were here with their stores of Arcane Knowledge, plus he had [Bardic Lore]. Dodge was probably the smartest move, right now.

And hopefully they’d be getting a lot more experience soon.

He ran an eye over his character sheet once more in case there was anything else, but all the lowest hanging fruit had long since been plucked. He was in it for the long experience haul now, unless he somehow replaced a skill or something.
