"... why didn't I see you the whole day if you're this big?!"

Hugo closed his eyes as he let out a sharp breath, wrapping his muscular around her small frame. He bent down his head, resting his forehead on top of her head, and got a whiff of the floral scent of her hair.

"Hugo?" Rinnie called and felt his arms tighten around her.

"What am I going to do with you?" came out a helpless and airy voice. "Why did you let them make you drink if you can't handle your liquor?"

She frowned. "But I'm not drunk."

"Mhm... that's what most drunk people would say."

"But I'm really not!" Rinnie stubbornly planted her fist on his chest, pushing him lightly, and looked up at him. "Sister Alice passed out, but I didn't!"

"Beginner's luck, I know," Hugo mumbled with an evident frown. He had seen a lot of beginners who would usually stay till the end of the banquet and hold their liquor for the first time. It was a strange thing, but it was usually like that. So, he wasn't surprised if Rinnie was still being stubborn right now while claiming she wasn't drunk. He also wouldn't be surprised if Rinnie would curse all the gods and devils tomorrow.

"Hugo..." she pouted and narrowed her eyes, displeased that he wasn't believing her. "You don't believe me."

"Of course, I don't. God... I really can't take my eyes off of you even for a second, huh? You should sleep." Hugo glanced at Alice as a glint flickered his eyes. "I should've known that lady's plans."

"Hmph!" Rinnie clicked her tongue as she brush his arms holding her. "I'll go to sleep then. Hugo doesn't believe me... wait, are you Hugo?"

Her eyes popped open until they almost left its socket. His brows creased, studying her aghast expression as if she was staring at a ghost.

"What?" he asked in dismay. "Am I Hugo?"

He saw her nod profusely, narrowing her eyes before she leaned her face forward for a closer look. Hugo couldn't believe what she just said or done. Does that mean she embraced him even though she wasn't sure if it was him or not? His eyes darkened at the thought.

'Would she embrace any man that will come in this door?' he wondered, feeling his blood boil.

"Hugo always believes everything I say... hmm?" Rinnie rubbed her chin while studying his dark expression. "Does he have a twin? You look just like him, though. Wow... I'm scared."

"Rinnie..."

"Oh! You really are scary!" Rinnie gasped as this man also gave off Hugo's threatening vibes. "Hugo? You're really him? But he always believes me and you don't. Why is that?"

The vein in his temple protruded as he ground his teeth, watching Rinnie wonder as if this entire situation was confusing for her. Although he couldn't deny she was still as cute as ever, not recognizing him irritated him in a way he couldn't even explain.

"Hello?" Rinnie waved in front of him.

To shut her up, Hugo cupped her jaw with both his hands and bent over, claiming her lips briefly. "Do you recognize me now?" he asked under his breath, his lips an inch away from hers, and crimson eyes glinting dangerously.

Rinnie blinked her eyes countless times, brain overloading. "Hugo..." she watched him draw his head back until she could see his face.

"What?" he asked out of irritation.

"I only kissed Hugo in my life, so how will I know the difference if you're not him?" she frowned and averted her eyes, shoulders lowering as they relaxed.

'Damn... she wants to drive me mad...' Hugo's eyes glowed as his pupils constricted. He didn't know who was more dangerous between them; the drunk Rinnie who was unconsciously bringing out the worst in him and made him want to do things he might regret later? Or Hugo who might succumb to her spell — this curse she was putting on him?

Rinnie looked up at him while bearing the same frown. "You should speak profanities. That, I can differentiate since Hugo had his creative way of belittling every living being in this world."

"Rinnie..." Hugo breathed out as he ran his fingers through his dark ash hair. "Did you say you will never know the difference if it's another man or me who is kissing you?"

Her brows furrowed, as it seemed he was still stuck on that topic. So she nodded. But just as she did, she heard a low snarl before he took a large step, wrapping his arm around her waist to lift her body up as if she weighed like a feather. He planted his other hand on her jaw, raising her head up as he claimed her lips without a moment's notice.

"Mhm!!" A protesting moan slipped past her lips as he bit her lower lip, feeling his arm around her waist tighten a bit.

"There's no need for you to know the difference," he whispered into her mouth, trying so hard not to break her small body with the intense emotions circling in his heart. "Because my lips... are the only lips you will ever taste in your life."

Her eyes popped open when his tongue forced its way inside her mouth. Rinnie unconsciously clutched his shoulder as her mind buzzed at his sudden aggression. Her eyes only softened when his arm loosened and felt gentle. His heat that was slowly transferring to her body and crept into her heart was something she recognized.

"It's really you." She smiled against his lips, making him freeze as he suddenly stop as if he woke up from a nightmare.

Slowly, Hugo drew his head back, only to see her smiling sweetly. His arms that were lifting her carefully put her down, realizing that he nearly... almost... hurt her.

But to his surprise, Rinnie wrapped her arms around his waist a second later and locked her hand behind him. "I know it's Hugo," she said with the same smile, standing on her toes and planting a peck on his lips.

"Be gentle, Hugo," she complained with a pout. "My lips will swell if you bite too hard. You don't want to eat my flesh, do you?"

"I do..." came out a helpless and honest reply while staring at her. Even if she didn't say a word, she was welcoming him with all her heart. That was why he felt even more helpless. Was it because she was under the influence of liquor? Would she regret it once she wakes up tomorrow?

"You don't even know... the perverse thoughts that are inside my mind right now." He cupped her jaw and kissed her on the lips for a second, resting his forehead against hers. ".... you don't even have the slightest idea, Rinnie."
