Inside a dilapidated room, a white-haired child about five or six years old sat on a tattered bed in a daze.

The boy was fumbling with an old looking book in his hand, as his eyes were unfocused.

"Can't open..."

The boy muttered with a helpless tone.

The book was pitch black, with silver rims. Its cover was even stranger.

Silver-white nine steps ladder, similar to those eastern palace stairs ladder full of immortal air.

Above this ladder, a golden platform carrying a towering golden tree bathing in mysterious translucent runes.

The tree was huge as it covered the whole book surface.

While the book looks simple, the boy knew very well that it was the culprit that brings him to this unknown world.

"What a bad luck..."

The boy threw the book in the wooden ground, as a deafening creaking sounded all over the small wooden room.

Creak...

The ground was dented, as the boy sighed in distress.

Strangely though, the book turned into specks of light and vanished.

"This damn book. Since you brought me here, then do your damn job!"

The boy cursed, as he summoned the book again, only to let it vanish for a second time.

He had no idea who he is nor where he is.

He touched the back of his head, blood stains appeared in his small hand but there was no wounds.

Helplessly, he could only approach the small lone window, spying on the outside surroundings, hoping to find out a satisfying answer.

The scenery outside was something he only saw in fantasy dramas on TV, or imagined while reading a book depicting the middle aged era.

"It's a village full of ancient european ambience. Did I travel back in time to the 17th century?"

The boy wondered.

"The village won't be more than a hundred households."

"Hmm, an old man? He is coming from that village towards my house."

The boy was surprised to see an old man coming towards his direction, while waving with his right hand urgently.

The reason behind his guess was the fact that his small house is the only one in this area.

The old man hastened his pace, as he approached the small window.

"Haou, why are you still in daze? Hurry up, the honorable soul master already arrived to the village entrance."

'What language is this?! I can actually understand. Weird...'

'Soul Master?!'

The boy expression changed. His eyes scanned the old man, as he found him a little bit familiar.

"Old Jack?!"

He asked tentatively.

Jack looked speechless.

"Yes, it's the old man. Hurry up and follow me to the village soul hall. Weren't you excited about awakening your martial spirit before?"

The boy, Haou, looked at Jack in shock, as he hurriedly nodded.

"Old Jack, I'm ready! Lead the way!!"

Haou was excited. His tone trembled a little.

While he has no memories, knowledge about novels, mangas, movies and animes is still intact.

Following behind Old Jack, he started wondering.

'Soul Land. To think it's this world. Won't that crappy book be my own martial spirit? No no, I don't even think I should have one.'

Haou expression changed, as he started doubting himself. He knew very well that bloodlines in this world are supreme.

Only a small part of civilians, and under some mutation, can barely compete with those nobles.

Don't listen to the master bullshit 'there's no trash spirit', that's just a gimmick to appease himself.

If that was true, he should have become a Titled Douluo long ago, rather than stopping at level 29.

As for Tang San, his spirit was never a blue silver grass.

'I hope this book will surprise me.'

Old Jack and the little child walked side by side on the trail.

Haou inspected the surrounding small houses, roads and grasslands, as he exclaimed inwardly.

Not much later, a very ancient wooden hall appeared in the duo eyes.

"Haou, hurry up! The honorable soul master is about to initiate the awakening ceremony."

A little boy not far from the hall entrance, raised his hands as he called over.

"Old Jack, I'll be on my way. Wish me luck."

Haou blinked his eyes, as he run towards the hall direction, not forgetting to tell his farewells.

Old Jack watched the boy's back with a smile full of anticipation.

"Hopefully, a successful awakening! Other than this child and Tang San, none showed any talents or prospects."

Old Jack muttered, as he always felt that Haou's background isn't simple.

He recalled six years ago. The baby appeared suddenly from nowhere on his way.

Other than a white saddle that wrapped his small body, there was nothing worthy of mentioning other than his cute appearance.

His skin was tender and milky, his lips were rosy pink, his eyes were verdant green, his small noise was pointed, while his hair was snow white.

Even the name Haou was given by Old Jack himself.

The old man didn't think much to decide upon his immediate adoption.

"It has been six years since then. He gradually grew up to be a very decent young man."

Old Jack sighed as his eyes blurred in a reminiscent state.

...

Inside the soul hall, eight or nine children stood nervously, as their eyes shone with hope and expectation.

Each one praying for a mutation, enabling him to change his fate.

Their sight never left the black haired young man on the platform, who seems to be preparing for some kind of ritual.

Haou who was also one of those excited children, suddenly felt a malicious look peering daggers on his back.

Turning his head aside, he was met with cold eyes, full of gloomy meaning.

He instinctively touched the back of his head, as he looked at the ugly looking boy in confusion.

"Is there something on my head?"

Noticing his apparent confusion, the boy eyes shone with uncertainty, however soon, his mouth corner twisted onto an ugly smile, as the depressing feeling vanished.

Haou was confused. Meanwhile, he felt that the ugly boy seems pretty mature and steady compared to other peers.

'This steady temperament, it must be Tang San.'

'Still, why is he looking at me with slight killing intent?'

Immediately he panicked.

Under his disturbed mentality, a stream shards of memories unknowingly poured in his mind, as his expression suddenly turned into shock.

'What a cruel hand! Even children dare to kill!'

Haou felt disgusted.

It turned out that before he regained his past life memories, he and Tang San were actually good friends.

A week ago and by some coincidence, he found out Tang San training spot, and joined him, but something astonishingly happened.

He was actually able to learn some of his secret techniques at glance, which drastically changed Tang San expression to a hideous one.

Just yesterday, he visited his home. Haou welcomed his visit warmly. Who knows that the guy was so poisonous that he attacked the back of his head, almost killing him in the process.

He still remember his last words.

"You can only blame yourself for spying on my Tang sect inheritance."

Haou knew that the guy was simply jealous from his incredible talent and beautiful appearance, and felt threatened from it, therefore, ignoring his former 'friendship', he cruelly stabbed his head.

Barely stopping himself from showing any reaction, he distracted himself, while watching the legendary Su Yuntao helping children awake their martial spirits.

"Pickaxe - no soul power. Next..."

"Blue silver grass - no soul power."

"Kitchen knife - no soul power."

...

Su Yuntaoshook his head helplessly. None of the children of this village showed any soul talent.

Looking at the last two children.

"Who's next?"

He inquired in a bad tone.

Haou just stood in daze, not bothering to answer. Tang San who was secretly observing himself, seems to guess something.

His face showed a smug smile, as he headed towards the platform.

In his eyes, the current Haou was clearly abnormal.

Due to Haou lost memories and his dazed expression, he looked liked a retard.

"While he didn't die, his current state is far worse than death."

Tang San who had an ugly face since childhood always hated Haou's peerless face.

Unfortunately, his 'principles' stopped him from killing. It was until Haou showed his talent and easily learned his secret techniques, Tang San was finally able to find a reason to kill.

Golden light shone on the platform. Tang San ultimately awakened blue silver grass. His soul power was level 10, which was quite shocking for Su Yuntao and everyone present in the hall.

Only Haou reacted strangely. He looked at the space above his head with confusion.

The book suddenly appeared there, as the cover turned into a black hole vortex, ready to swallow the world.

Tang San's body suddenly started emanating multi-colored hue, as those light hues were attracted by the black vortex, gradually swallowed by the book.

He looked around panicking, fortunately the book was only seen by himself while others doesn't seem to notice anything.

He kept watching those light approaching him, only to vanish when it made a contact with the black book.

Haou abruptly felt that he can actually opened two pages, from the book.

It was a strange feeling, at the same time he knew the nature of those lights.

Luck, destiny, source power, talent, potential.

After receiving this message, he looked at Tang San with pity.

He finally understood why Tang San was weirdly hostile to him.

His book is an omnipotent artifact. Its fuel was actually the luck and the laws of the world.

Tang San who was granted with a huge amount of luck, turned into a prey. Even his two martial spirits already turned into scrap, as their essence was also absorped in the process.

Therefore, Tang San is almost abolished 90% unknowingly.

His current blue silver grass isn't even as good as normal blue silver grass spirit, while the sky hammer is equal to a pickaxe.

Haou didn't have any mercy. Rather, he already thought of cutting more of Tang San chances, putting an end to his smooth rise in the future.

Tang San on the platform suddenly felt weak and dizzy. His body was heavy and his legs started shaking, only to faint in unwillingness.

Su Yuntao looked at the fainted boy, and felt sorry for a while.

"What a poor boy. Full innate, but the spirit is a waste. No wonder he fainted in disappointement. Someone take him away."

Some little boys took Tang San away from the platform, as Haou finally rode the platform.

Su Yuntao looked at him in curiosity. White hair and green eyes with a noble air all over.

He was very different from other villagers.

Su Yuntao started the awakening ritual earnestly.

A massive golden light submerged Haou's small body as silver light started surrounding his body in an aura-like entanglement.

Sun Yuntao covered his eyes with his right hand, but his expression full of excitement.

"What a strong spirit. It's definitely a strong one."

The golden light continued for few seconds, only to disappear but nothing happened.

Sun Yuntao looked at the boy in front of him in daze.

"What's your martial spirit?"

Haou was also surprised. His spirit is actually his whole body. However, he knew very well that such thing could not be said.

His eyes shone with green hue, as he answered.

"My eyes."

Su Yuntao was taken back. It was the first time he heard about such a spirit.

"Unfortunately, it's another waste martial spirit."

Su Yuntao answered neatly. But he still measured his spirit power.

Only to be dumbfounded again.

"Another Full Innate?!"

He clearly showed his doubts towards the duo results.

Haou face didn't change. He already accepted such a result.
