Let us rewind time back to ten minutes ago, when Albert was still being hunted down by monsters.

Clack!

There was a crisp sound, following which a faint magical wave entered her consciousness.

Sensing the familiar wave, Celia took out her magic timer excitedly.

George, sensing the commotion coming from Celia’s side, lifted his head from the large fruit he was eating.

“What is it?”

Celia didn’t respond immediately. Instead, she double-checked her timer first.

After confirming the time, she took out her item box.

Then, an exquisite-looking armor appeared before her.

It was a Black Dragon themed armor.

The entirety of the armor was pitch black, with dark red lines that looked like blood vessels on the surface. If one looked carefully, they would discover that these lines were formed by tiny inscriptions.

It was a genuine and genuinely expensive magic armor.

“This is…”

The instant George laid eyes on the armor, it captivated him.

After showing the armor off to George, Celia smiled and asked,

“How is it?”

“It’s too cool.”

Looking at the armor, he felt a sense of déjà vu. He turned to look at Celia and asked in an uncertain tone, “Is this the legendary magic armor made by sacrificing a hundred black dragons!?”

“As if. This is just a replica.”

Celia rolled her eyes at George, then explained,

“I bought it from a fallen noble. Although it’s a replica, it’s said to be made from real dragon scales.”

Celia presented the armor to George and said,

“Happy birthday, George!”

“Birthday?” George raised his head and looked at Celia in confusion. The next moment, the scenery around him changed.

The armor and Celia disappeared, replaced by three golden eggs.

“Ah, so that’s what’s going on. It’s been another five years. Time really flies.”

Five years had passed in the blink of an eye, and it was once again time to smash a golden egg.

“I wonder what it will be this time.”

Looking back and forth between the three golden eggs, George muttered to himself,

“The first time, I picked the middle one. The second time, I picked the left one. So this time…”

Just as George turned to look at the golden egg on the right, he noticed from the corner of his eye movement from the egg on the left.

“Am I seeing things? Did the golden egg just move?”

George was puzzled. He stared closely at the golden egg on the far left.

The egg was completely normal and unmoving. But just as George was about to look away, the egg trembled again.

Right before his eyes.

This time, he was one hundred percent certain that the golden egg had moved.

“It’s actually moving. Could it be that there’s a living thing inside?”

Looking at the egg on his left, George couldn’t help but feel curious.

What could be inside?

George thought for a while and raised his hand. A tiny golden hammer appeared in it.

Tiny hammer in hand, George reached out to smash the golden egg on the left.

Just as the hammer was about to touch the egg, George stopped short.

“Wait a minute. No, I can’t smash this.”

If there really was a living creature inside, wouldn’t it mean that there would be one more mouth to feed in the future? One more person fighting him for food?

At the thought of this, George quickly moved the golden hammer away and eyed the other two eggs.

However, right at this moment, the golden egg suddenly began moving. Perhaps the egg had sensed the tiny golden hammer moving away. Its movements were even more aggressive than before.

It was as if the creature inside the golden egg was trying to jump out and was swinging wildly inside the shell. The movements caused the egg to tilt forward.

Because George only moved the golden hammer away slightly, the golden egg successfully touched the golden hammer with that tilt.

Crack!

The instant the golden hammer made contact with the surface of the egg, George knew that things were about to get bad.

He wanted to change his mind, but the moment the crack appeared, the other two golden eggs disappeared from this mysterious space.

Now that things had come to this, he had no other choice but to crack the golden egg open fully.

“Right then. Lemme see what this mischievous little fella inside looks like.”

The shell of the mashed golden egg turned into golden dust and dissipated into thin air.

A white egg, accompanied by a flash of white light, appeared in front of George.

Subconsciously, he moved to hold the egg with both hands.

Ping Ping!

In that moment, George felt what seemed like a living pulse.

As he tuned into this pulse, George felt all distracting thoughts in his mind vanish and he entered a meditative state.

The pulse in the egg gradually synchronized with George’s heartbeat. The moment the two completely fell in sync, George was startled awake.

When he returned to his senses, everything before him had gone back to how it was. Celia was still showing him the birthday gift she had prepared for him.

Celia seemed to have noticed George’s abnormality and asked in puzzlement,

“What are you thinking about? Hurry up and try it on.”

“Oh, yes.”

George responded and adjusted his mental state immediately.

He put on the armor that Celia had prepared excitedly

“It feels fantastic. This must have cost a lot.”

“It’s not that expensive. It’s about the same as your monthly food expenses.”

George nodded in surprise and said,

“It’s cheaper than I thought.”

Celia knew that George had no concept of money, but she still couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

“Yes, maybe other people’s monthly food expenses aren’t much, But your monthly food expenses were a whole other story.”

Rumble!

The sound of something falling came from below them. Celia looked down and asked in surprise,

“Where did this egg come from?”

Celia picked up the patternless white egg and could feel distinctively, the warmth coming from within it.

When she turned to look at George, she suddenly remembered something.

“Oh yea, this is your third five-year.”

George never kept the golden eggs a secret from Celia, so her words didn’t come as a surprise to him.

“What egg is this?”

“Dragon egg. But I’m not sure what kind of dragon. One thing’s for sure though, it’s very mischievous.”

Upon hearing George’s words, the dragon egg in Celia’s arms shook as if to express its dissatisfaction.

“Look, it seems to understand,” Celia said in amazement.

Hearing this, George, who had just put on the armor, looked up.

The dragon egg shook violently again and again. Until finally, it turned into a white light and flew into the sky.

“It flew away. Is it angry?”

“No.”

George shook his head. He then reached out to the connection between him and the dragon egg.

What he felt from the egg wasn’t dissatisfaction, but desire.

“It’s attracted to something there.”

George’s gaze travelled past the white light in the sky and finally landed on the treasure tree in the middle of the forest. George immediately understood where the dragon egg was headed.

“Looks like our trip’s coming to an end..”
