“Master, will consuming the meat of a monster that’s gone berserk cause any problems?”
While cooking, Celia suddenly realized that these monsters had not been in the right state of mind. They had all gone berserk.
Faced with Celia’s worries and doubts, Dionmya explained in a timely fashion,
“Yes, but not for your little boyfriend and that dragon hatchling.”
Dionmya looked at George, who was playing with Siluca and pondered.
“Although I can’t tell what kind of constitution that kid has, based on his performance thus far, ordinary abnormal statuses and factors can’t affect him at all.”
George’s appetite reminded her of many people she had met.
However, none of their conditions were as exaggerated as George’s.
It was truly bizarre. How did he survive for so long with such an absurd constitution?
Thinking of this, Dionmya became very curious about George.
As for George’s constitution, Celia didn’t tell Dionmya everything she knew.
She gave her master a brief introduction but feigned ignorance about everything else.
Of course, Dionmya, having lived so long, could naturally tell that Celia was hiding something.
But she didn’t care.
She’d be more worried if Celia was someone who could be coaxed to give up everything with just a few words.
Their current situation was for the best. While they trusted each other, they were still on guard.
After obtaining Dionmya’s assurance, Celia was finally at ease.
“What happened to those monsters? If all the monsters in this forest are affected, will the city be attacked?”
“That depends on how many monsters the Apostle has affected.”
Dionmya wasn’t very sure. Since she was currently just a spiritual entity, the role she could play was very limited.
“However, one thing is for certain. The situation won’t get better from here.”
Looking Celia’s solemn expression, Dionmya thought to herself,
Since I’ve decided to be a good teacher, I should at least teach her something properly.
I’ve got to take the responsibility of being a teacher seriously.
After some consideration, countless spells flashed across Dionmya’s mind. The most suitable magic to deal with the current situation would be…
Soon, Dionmya found the answer. She said to Celia,
“Let me teach you a spell, the Cloud’s Eye.”
“Cloud’s Eye? As in the spell for creating a new field of vision?”
Celia had heard of this spell before. It’s a spell that used magic to create the magical equivalent of a third eye.
It was called Cloud’s Eye because this eye could be controlled and moved around freely, as if the clouds in the sky had become your eye.
“That’s right. Since you’ve heard of it, this makes things much easier. There’s a high chance that there are still berserk monsters nearby.
“This spell can help you discover the location of these monsters so that you can get out of harm’s way in time.”
Celia nodded thoughtfully at Dionmya’s words.
She handed George the bowl of soup she had prepared first then said to him,
“George, the monsters just now seemed abnormal. I suspect there might be more of them nearby.”
“Not anymore. Don’t you trust my perception ability?”
“No, I meant farther away.”
George put down the bowl of soup in his hand. He looked at Celia and asked a question that had nothing to do with what Celia had just said,
“You know what happened to those monsters?”
“Mm. They’ve gone berserk. There’s someone behind this. And I suspect that there are more berserk monsters that have gathered.”
Upon understanding the situation, George responded positively, “Understood, I’ll look into it after I’ve eaten.”
George didn’t ask what was the cause, but that didn’t mean Celia wouldn’t tell.
“Hmm, actually, this information could fetch a good price.”
“Leave it to me.”
George had no objections.
If the berserk monsters had banded together, then they could pose a huge threat to adventurers who were out on missions.
When that time comes, this would mean that any information on berserk monsters would fetch a good price among adventurers.
Also, if these monsters were moving towards the city, then they would threaten the lives of the residents.
Which means this piece of information would fetch a good price from the Adventurer’s Guild.
Of course, an entity as large as the Adventurer’s Guild wasn’t someone they could deal directly with.
Regardless of the situation, all they had to do was sell the information to professional intelligence dealers.
This means that they would only receive a small cut.
Even so, that cut was likely to still be quite impressive.
Underground World
What was a tranquil and dazzling world was now overcast with gloom and doom.
The Black Knight stood on a small hill made of monster corpses.
Corpses of monsters were strewn everywhere the eye could see.
“Honestly, I don’t enjoy this kind of one-sided scenario.”
As she spoke, she turned around to look at some of the monster corpses and couldn’t help but recall what had just happened.
“What’s going on? Why are these monsters able to escape my control?”
Just now, when she ordered the monsters to attack, the monsters that she thought had gone berserk and turned to attack her.
As if she was their sole target.
Yshtal compared the intensity of the two attacks she had endured and still could not understand.
The attack she was subjected to earlier was clearly much stronger than the first round of attack she received. This meant that the monsters were indeed under her influence.
Even so, they did not listen to her commands.
There was something strange about that.
Thinking of this, Yshtal put away her contempt. She only survived this long as an Apostle not due to pride but due to caution.
If the original monsters here didn’t work out, how about this?
A large amount of sparks burst forth from Yshtal’s body. These sparks did not dissipate into the air but instead condensed together.
The sparks successfully formed a ring of fire, and then transformed into a magic circle that then floated into the air and began to expand. Covering every area that had monster corpses in it.
After expanding to a certain size, the orange magic circle stabilized and began to glow.
Immediately after, all of the demon corpses beneath Yshtal’s feet began to melt and combine.
Glug glug!
Under Yshtal’s magic, the blood of the monsters began to evaporate and their bones turned to ash.
Roar!
An unpleasant, ear-piercing roar reverberated through the forest.
The roar seemed to be the amalgamation of the cries of many monsters. Ordinary people would likely be completely fear-stricken or even literally scared to death hearing such a screech just once.
The ash on the ground began to move, and bloody mist in the air began to flow. They coalesced and reformed, weaving together under Yshtal’s control.
The ashes condensed into snow-white bones, and the bloody mist attached themselves to the bones, turning into flesh and tendons.
Bones reconstructing and flesh re-knitting, a new life was being created..
