Itachi used Amaterasu to hit Nagato who was on a bird summoned with his Rinnegan.

"Don't worry, I'm not being controlled anymore." Itachi commented to Naruto who was standing on top of a tree.

Naruto was surprised by Itachi's statement, because it seemed like he had already prepared all this beforehand.

Seeing the doubts on Naruto's face, Itachi decided to explain what was going on.

"I prepared that raven to respond to my Mangekyo Sharingan. He erased my Impure Reincarnation."

"In the left eye of that raven is implanted a genjutsu that commands me to protect Konoha..."

"The most powerful Mangekyo Sharingan genjutsu in existence... Illustrious Heavenly Gods."

At the end of his speech Itachi looked extremely serene, as if making sure Naruto understood everything he spoke.

"The most powerful genjutsu user of the Uchiha... Shisui the Teleporter?" Killer B who was nearby muttered aloud.

"Uchiha Shisui?" Naruto asked in a confused tone.

Itachi didn't answer whose genjutsu it was and continued saying, "Using that genjutsu, I was able to control myself."

"I programmed that genjutsu to protect Konoha in Shisui's eyes." Itachi said.

Naruto was becoming more and more confused.

"Why did you have that eye? Besides why did you give it to me?" Naruto asked in a serious manner, he felt that Itachi could give him answers that could help him deal with Sasuke.

Itachi nodded and said, "The mark of a true ninja is not to seek glory... The true ninja protects from the shadows."

"Shisui's optical abilities create a powerful genjutsu that allows him to control someone without them ever noticing, but I never imagined that I would have to use it myself..."

At this point, Itachi already had a deep sadness and loneliness being emitted in his eyes, as well as a pain hidden within all the sadness and loneliness.

"Shisui predicted that a battle would require your eyes. I gave you that eye because you think the same as Shisui."

Itachi intended to continue explaining Naruto his motives, but he had to interrupt the conversation because he felt a huge chakra signature coming from under the trees. And turning his gaze he realized that Nagato who had been devoured by the flames was standing upright and very well.

Nagato's scrawny, weak body was no longer in sight, and what replaced it was the body of Nagato twenty years younger. It was as if he had returned to his childhood.

Itachi did not underestimate Nagato's appearance, because he felt that Nagato was much stronger than before.

Before Itachi could make a move, Nagato disappeared from his vision, and even with his Mangekyo Sharingan active he could not detect him so easily. And by the time he realized where Nagato was it was a little late.

"Banshō Ten'in!" Nagato exclaimed quietly as he extended his left hand towards Naruto.

Within moments Naruto felt a huge force of attraction pulling him towards Nagato, and even though he was in Nine Tails Chakra mode it was still useless because he couldn't resist the attraction.

Naruto was already under control of Nagato who now had his left hand on his stomach.

"Ningendo!"

Nagato then pressed on Naruto's stomach and soon began to pull out his soul, making Naruto feel uncomfortable.

"Nagato! What jutsu is that?" Naruto exclaimed, hoping that he could get an answer.

"Jigokudo!" Nagato exclaimed.

Purple flames began to appear around the ground where Nagato was pinning Naruto, and slowly a huge head sprang up from the ground surrounded by purple flames. That head is precisely the King of Hell that can fulfill two purposes: Questioning and Restoration.

"That's it! Pain's reviving jutsu!" Naruto exclaimed.

Naruto knew that was bad, so he quickly made a rasengan, with one of his tails created from the chakra of the nine tails. But that proved useless, because when he attacked Nagato, Nagato only made a simple barrier that protected him, while slowly absorbing the chakra from Naruto's rasengan.

"Oh yeah! I had forgotten that he can absorb ninjutsu!" Naruto exclaimed as he shook his head from side to side.

Killer B could not stand still, and threw himself towards Nagato with the aim of making him stop using this strange jutsu. But to his misfortune, he ended up being caught by Nagato's right hand, and his fate became similar to Naruto's.

Both were having their life force torn out of their bodies, making them weak faster and faster.

Naruto still maintained some resistance, but this proved to be useless, because he couldn't get out of Nagato's control. And just when they both thought they were lost, a huge red arm appeared and punched towards Nagato, causing him to be thrown far away.

And before Naruto could react he had already been grabbed by this red arm, the same happened to Killer B who was grabbed by the other red arm.

"Susanoo!" Itachi exclaimed, as a huge red-colored skeleton appeared around him. It was precisely this skeleton that saved Naruto and Killer B from their fate.

"So that's the Susanoo! That's cool!" Killer B exclaimed in a funny way.

Seeing that they were both safe, Itachi released his grip on the two, and allowed them to move.

"You saved our lives! Thank you, Itachi!" Naruto exclaimed gratefully. He knew that if it wasn't for Itachi he would most likely be captured and killed.

Itachi did not answer him and continued to stare at Nagato who now had one of his arms severed from his earlier attack. Itachi knew that the hardest part of the battle was about to begin, because he knew that the jutsus used by Nagato earlier were just his weak jutsus.

"What kind of ninja he is, I don't know, no! But man, he's a strong one!" Killer B said in a way where the words rhymed, at least he thought they did.

The King of Hell summoned by Nagato was gone, which showed that he would need all his strength for the next jutsu he would use, and that made Itachi more cautious.

Nagato's body that was missing an arm, slowly began to regenerate to its peak state, which showed how overpowering Edo Tensei was. Within seconds Nagato had already returned to his peak.

"Planetary Devastation." Nagato hit his two palms, and right after that he raised his left hand upwards and when Itachi and the others turned their eyes upwards they saw a black sphere floating in the air as it attracted all the stones, grass and earth from the ground.

Even the trees were not spared and were drawn towards the black sphere in the air.

Itachi had to steady his feet on the ground to avoid being thrown into the air.

"It seems that this black sphere has a huge gravitational force..." Itachi said calmly.

Killer B and Naruto, were already in the air. This was because the rocks they were standing on had been attracted by the gravitational force.

"If we get caught, we'll never get out, his gravitational force is incredible!" Naruto commented as he held onto the rock in the air. He remembered that Nagato used this jutsu when they battled in Konoha.

"It is safe to say that the black sphere in the air is the center of gravity. We need to destroy it." Itachi said calmly, the rock he was standing on was also attracted to the black sphere and now he was in the air on top of the rock.

"Naruto... If it is a certain death, how are you still alive?"  Itachi asked quietly, causing Naruto's eyes to widen.

Naruto really didn't know how to answer that question from Itachi.
