Jon knew the world was fucked up. The rich got richer, the poor got poorer. And because wealth created power, the rich only got more powerful, and the poor like Jon? He was nothing. It wasn't even his fault that the project failed. It was that stupid, good for nothing third generation scion of a family business who fucked it up, and then blamed him.
Kevin Palas, of the Palas family. That stupid asshole amended the presentation without even telling him and sent it to the wrong party.
The company needed someone to blame, and so, Jon was the poor sod.
He hoped his manager would defend him, stand up to the young master. But the manager agreed with that fucker instead of him.
That was when he realized there was no loyalty in this shit world
Jon was sacked. Immediately, and he walked out of office in shame. He looked back at his friends. Fellow commoners, and they all looked at him with sympathy.
Why was the world so fucked up? Why did the poor like him get oppressed, even though he did nothing wrong?
It wasn't fair.
He even tried to keep his head down. He tried his best to accommodate that assholes' weird antics and stupid ideas.
Jon didn't know why.

Jon wandered aimlessly, feeling a little lost and unsure what to do. He had nothing in Highstone City. He probably wouldn't be able to pay rent, and stared. He walked past a fancy restaurant, and then froze.
It's that bastard again! Kevin Palas, and he was flanked by three beautiful ladies all vying for his attention.
The world was just so unfair. Kevin was fairly good looking, while he, Jon? He was overweight, with bad nutrition and surviving on poor food. Even when he worked hard, his poor looks made all the key persons in power to ignore him, and focus on the better looking ones.
He did a lot. He worked hard. He did a lot of research. He wasn't unfriendly either. He tried to be helpful!
But there, on the other side of that tinted glass, inside the cozy, warm confines of that fancy high class restaurant, was the person who caused him to lose his job. He was angry. So fucking angry.
Life was unfair.

But what could he do?
Life was unfair, and it felt like all these powerful people had magical protections. Their lives were charmed, and his wasn't.
He walked along that street, and just then, he saw a strange light. He would've normally ignored it and continued walking, but today, that light mesmerized him.
It pulled him as if he was just a puppet, and he walked in.
There, a strange woman in a funny hat looked at him.
"You look like a lost puppy, my boy."
Jon didn't know what to say.
"But no worries, I'll fix you up and give you the power to regain what you've lost, and more. Do you want it?"
At this point, he was at rock bottom, and Jon figured the only way was up. "Yes."
"Great."
The woman's eyes glowed red, and then she grabbed him. Her strength was incredible, and then, she kissed him. He felt a hot, burning liquid flow into his body, but he couldn't do anything about it. She was too strong, and he couldn't even feel his arms or legs.
It wasn't normal, but he couldn't care less.
It lasted for what felt like an eternity, but in reality was only a minute.
That hot liquid has spread through every bit of his body, and it burned.
"Good." The lady smiled. "Go home and sleep. When you wake up tomorrow, you will feel different, and you will have the power you desire."
