Nora was still coming to terms with this life she woke up to. Finding out that the world as she knew it was blasted away by the bombs was almost as bad as losing Nate and Shaun. It hurt seeing just how far Boston and its surroundings had devolved into.
Caladan provided some measure of a normal life she once knew, though the skies were either capped by glass or covered by concrete. The people here were just as amazed as her at its existence. Nora doubted that even Vault Tec could imagine such a thing.
She sighed at that thought. It was one of the first things she found out, Vault Tec’s true, ugly face. To use the common people as unwitting test subjects even in the face of extinction… But then again, from the other information she’d gathered from Caladan’s databases, the other big corporations were just as evil, just as ugly.
Speaking of ugly, she was about to meet an ugly truth face to face. Nora hoped she could keep her calm.
She had taken the train from Caladan to Station 81, led by a Sentinel robot to a nondescript room. Taking a deep breath, Nora fortified her nerves before opening the door and entering it. Inside, an older man in greying hair and a plain weathered jumpsuit sat behind a plain table, with another empty chair for her across it.
“All recording devices will be deactivated to ensure your privacy,” the Sentinel chimed monotonously. “Should there be any assistance required, or should you require to conclude the meeting, there is a button by your armrest.”
Once the robot floated away and the door was closed, Nora put her full attention on the stranger before her. Her voice cracked with emotion as she tentatively called out. “Shaun?”
He looked at her with defeated resignation, but devoid of any shame or remorse.
Tendrils of anger crept out from her chest at that. Sev’s warnings were true, and it hurt her to see it so blatantly.
“Of course. Hello, Nora…mother.”
This man who was supposed to be her son…he didn’t care at all, did he?
Nora didn’t bother sitting down, satisfied with simply glaring at him from where she stood by the door.
“So it’s true then?” she asked in a harsh whisper, unable to hold back her rising anger. She was vaguely aware that her eyes itched with tears forming. “My son became the leader of the Institute.”
The patronizing sigh she got as a reply pissed her off. Sev was right again, her- this man was too disassociated with her for any bonds of family to exist.
“Why…why did you leave me in there?” Nora asked, harsher and louder than before.
He met her glare this time, with a sickening conviction of a madman. “It was for the best. On the chance that I were to fall-”
Nora almost screamed. “That’s all I am to you? A backup for your Institute?” She slammed a fist against the wall behind her, the pain muted by the frustration she felt. “They killed your father goddammit!”
His features froze to stony coldness for a moment. “It was…a shameful tragedy.”
“It’s just a ‘shameful tragedy’? That’s it?” Nora’s breath hitched as she struggled to stop herself from breaking into tears and further hysterics. She couldn’t believe that this was truly her son.
“The Institute did what was right at the time,” he defended with brittle conviction. “For the betterment of humanity-”
She interrupted him with a roar, taking an angry step forwards. “What humanity? All I’ve seen and heard is that you’re all nothing but soulless, sadistic madmen! Where’s the humanity in killing someone and replacing them with a clone? Where’s the humanity in sabotaging the lives of everyone on the surface? Where’s the FUCKING humanity in stealing a child from their parents and brainwashing him into a heartless MONSTER?”
As she raged, Nora was aware of his reaction, the offended look of not being understood, not of denial against the accusations.
“There were necessary…collateral to be paid for the price of progress,” the older man softly said. “The surface is a dangerous place, we had to secure ourselves.”
Nora couldn’t believe it, couldn’t take it anymore. She stomped to the empty chair and punched the button in its armrest.
She gave one last glare to the man that was regrettably her son. “I’m glad Nate is not around to see what our son has become,” she spat out as the door opened. “Sev was right, my Shaun is effectively dead.”
Nora followed the Sentinel out, letting the tears freely flow as she mourned the loss of her family.

With Curie acclimating herself to her new body, I had to hastily conjure up a new assistant to keep track of the robots and automated features throughout the Nexus. It became quickly apparent that it would be a high priority when the alert pings came spamming through the office, overwhelming Gwen, Scott and Calvin with mostly trivial issues with a sprinkling of reports of wildlife culling and securing trespassing raiders.
Since the admin team was battered to exhaustion after just half a day, I quickly went to work for a solution. Using Curie’s backup as a foundation, I delved into the console to spend a dilated hour tweaking the new assistant’s behaviour and protocols.
For sanity’s sake the AI was limited to a rough simulation of sentience instead of the full potential that most other robots could theoretically gain and that Curie had fully unlocked. Also, I had the AI installed not into a body, but into the servers hosting the very network that it would be interfacing practically all the time. That way, its role was fully specialised into overseeing the macro and micro operations of the Nexus Severalty without having to worry about following me on missions or physically attending to miscellaneous tasks.
I did good work, I’d like to think as I reviewed the overall structure and waited for the system to boot up. The cherry on top was that a preset voice I found in the console, probably extracted from my own memories because otherwise I can’t comprehend how it existed.
“Installation complete, please stand by.
Server connection established…
Processing files…
Establishing network control…
Nexus Severalty uplink successful.
Greetings, commander.”
I grinned at hearing the synthetic voice echoing from the room and my Pip-Boy. “Welcome aboard, Eva.”

Curie’s new life was an exciting rush of sensations and emotions. She was eagerly and warmly welcomed by those young faces she was once programmed to protect above all else. Nat almost tackled her to the ground as the girl crashed into her for a tight hug. The others were less reckless, taking turns to hug Curie as they acknowledged her new form.
Nobody cared that she could not carry out her previous role, or that she was limited to a human’s perception. Everyone from Caladan’s ‘first generation’ was simply glad to have her as she currently was. That didn’t leave her immune to some teasing, though.
“So, you finally got sick of just sitting back and wondering what Sev’s dick is like?” Piper had said with a cheeky grin, causing some of the others to grin along or giggle. Curie struggled to process the question for a satisfactory answer, and realised that her cheeks were feeling warm and her mind was suddenly veering off to obsessive thoughts of Sev on top of her.
At her embarrassed silence, Cait laughed and patted her on the back. “Don’t worry, I’m sure once Sev’s got the time, he’ll gladly bend you over and you’ll be enjoying yourself.”
For some reason, Curie didn’t trust herself to reply, only nodding meekly as everyone around her cheered and teased and laughed. She honestly didn’t know how to feel about the realisation that she actually desired intimacy with Sev. Logically, it made sense to immediately go to him and gratefully offer herself.
But…would it be too presumptuous of her? A small, irrational part of Curie worried that she wouldn’t be valued highly, now that her role within Sev’s Nexus was left in the air. He had offered her the new life that she wanted, but would he bother investing more to accept her into his intimate circle? Curie wondered just how suitable she was to serve Sev’s desires.
In the end, the former robot decided to just face the matter head on. After some arrangements with Cait and Piper, she got the opportunity to meet Sev in his room on one of his freer nights.
“Curie?” Sev welcomed her into his room without reservation despite his surprise. Curie entered with a bit of hesitation, the realisation that she was alone with him made her stomach flutter and her breath shallow.
This was far more…intense than when she observed in her previous form.
“Sev,” she began, shepherding her words carefully despite the danger of her tongue flubbing her lines. “I would like to thank you again for…for this.” She glanced down at herself and the plain cream white dress she wore.
Curie nervously continued before he could speak. She didn’t want her worries to fester any longer. “But could I…is it alright if I imposed a bit more from you?”
“Sure Curie, what do you need?” Sev’s confused and concerned face was cute, but it made her feel bad for having him worry over her. “Need more tweaks to your body?”
She smiled at the answer. Earlier he did something that made hair grow on her bald scalp, giving her lustrously black shoulder-length hair. For some reason, as she stood before him now, images of Sev grabbing her by the hair flashes through her mind. It was not an unpleasant thought.
“No, nothing like that…unless there’s anything about me you would like to change for your benefit.”
Sev blinked, the confusion remaining on his features.
Curie sighed softly, understanding finally the complaints from Piper and Cait of Sev being or acting…dense at times. She wanted nothing more than him to just grab her and push her down right now.
She blurted out the words before her nervousness rendered her mute. “I wish to serve you, Sev.” Curie exhaled, then met his eyes with conviction. “Like Piper and Cait. I want to be yours.”
There was a moment’s silence as she peeked into Sev’s mind processing her words. “Are you sure Curie? You’re a free woman, you don’t have to give yourself up.”
“I don’t,” she agreed with a nod. “...but I want to. Ever since you’ve taken me into your confidence, treated me as more than another robot. Please…own me as you do Piper and Cait.”
There was a split second where Curie prepared herself to further persuade him, both girls had warned her about that possibility. But instead, Sev just smiled and stepped up to her, the slight difference in height making him gaze down at her as if in a dominating manner. She was entranced by his eyes, vaguely aware that he lightly held onto her chin with a finger and a thumb.
“You’ll be mine, Curie?”
“My body, my mind, everything to serve you, Sev.”
The kiss felt far better than she had theorised. The moment he leaned down to brush his lips against hers, Curie felt her lungs freeze up and her heart pounding heavily. She exhaled in wonder once the contact ended, feeling warmth on her cheeks and her nether regions.
Sev had a dirty grin on his face that excited her. “I guess I should break in your new body, hm?”
Curie was naked seemingly in a blink of an eye, writhing and moaning wantonly as Sev stood behind her and his hands roamed across her smooth skin, brushing against her slit and squeezing her breasts. He was cruel in his slowness, dragging his fingers lightly up her belly, giving lazy swirls around her areola, kissing and lightly lapping at her neck… Curie squirmed under his touch as her brain got caught in the waves of arousal. She felt the surges sending her right to the edge, but over and over again she was pushed right at the edge, just enough to brush against the borders of a climax.
“Sev…please…” Curie pleaded in a soft whine as her thighs were smeared with her own juices.
“Not yet, Curie. Not yet.”
She was then on her knees, facing Sev’s throbbing erection. Curie let her desires guide her, and her hands wrapped around his shaft as her mouth greedily opened to lavish her love onto Sev’s cock.
He tasted good, felt so warm and nice in her mouth. Even as Curie struggled and gagged on his dick, trying to take it all in like the good girl she wanted to be, she was moaning happily as her tongue rubbed against the thick shaft. Hearing Sev groan in enjoyment, pride and joy mixed with the lust overwhelming her. This was all she wanted to do now, to be Sev’s source of pleasure.
Sev rewarded her soon enough with a good blast of thick cum into her mouth that quickly spilled out through her nose. Curie coughed and hacked, but she loved the pungent scent and taste as she gulped down what she could.
Curie was still savoring the lingering taste as she was lifted and tossed onto the bed. Sev was between her legs, spreading them apart as his still hard cock loomed between them.
“How do you want it, Curie?”
“However that makes you enjoy my body to the fullest, Sev.”
Curie lost track of time the moment she felt his cock press against her virgin folds and then stretched her apart to plunge deep into her. The pain should have been sharp, but the bliss that came along muted it to nothing. She let herself drown in the lustful pleasure, unaware of how her body trembled and spasmed, or that she was clawing in the air and gripping the sheets tightly for her life.
Her orgasm smothered her and left her utterly helpless for the rest of the night. Curie could only feel Sev’s deep and powerful thrusts, her eyes lost to the blank whiteness of sheer bliss. She could only weakly moan and cry out as her body bucked limply with each slam of Sev’s hips.
Amongst the raging waves of pleasure, Curie felt content and utterly happy. Sev used her just as she wanted him to, and from his low groans and relentless pounding, he found her worthy of sating his needs.
Curie didn’t know how many times either of them came, but when she woke up in Sev’s arms, her body clean and oh so wonderfully sore all over, she was pretty sure she did a good job.
