Chapter 5: Chapter – 5 To the Shimotsuki Village

It’s been a month since we left the unnamed island, and in the past month, a variety of things that I never expected happened. First and foremost, I learned that sailing is very boring, it’s a monotonous activity where we have to constantly study the changes in wind direction as well as several other factors all while keeping the ship under control which is a very boring task, if not for the fact that I was able to train on the Ship, spend some sexy time with Esdeath and Medusa, and also try a variety of drinks that Escanor would often prepare for me, I would have definitely died of boredom, even though I am immortal.

After a few weeks of sailing, I started to wonder how people can love to sail all that much. I mean it’s just so boring!

But now that I think about it, even continuous training for several years is also very boring, I mean I did get bored on the island, but because I was driven by a purpose, I was able to continue without any major issues. Maybe the same logic works here, people can love to sail, perhaps not because they want to sail, but because they are driven by some sort of purpose that brings them to the Sea.

If I think of the straw hats, then that’s definitely true, each of the Straw hats has a purpose or goal that they wish to complete, Luffy wants to be the King of Pirates, Zoro wants to become the Greatest Swordsman, Nami has her dream, same goes for Usopp, Sanji and the rest, because they have their own dreams and aspiration; perhaps that’s why they can love to sail, and maybe, I too will come to love sailing in the future.

Well anyway, aside from this boring discussion of why people can love to sail, let’s talk about the actual things that have happened.

After we left the unnamed island, we sailed for a week before reaching the first island which went by the name Polaris Island. Polaris Island seemed to be named after the Star Polaris in the Northern Circumpolar in the Ursa Major.

It was a very typical One-Piece World Island; the island had few villages and there was one pirate crew active around the island that went by the name ‘Slaughtering Pirates’. As can be suggested from their name, they weren’t very good people, but that wasn’t very surprising, after all, pirates like Straw Hats are extremely hard to come by.

Anyway, ‘Slaughtering Pirates’ used to take monthly protection fees from all the villages on that island in order to protect the island from destruction, any Village that wasn’t able to pay the protection fees on time will have to suffer the consequences based on the severity of the situation. If a village was late in paying the protection fees by one week, then the Slaughtering Pirates would molest and rape the women of that village, but if the village is unable to pay the protection fees for several weeks, then the entire village will be slaughtered one by one in front of the residents of the other Villages to incite terror into their hearts.

Apparently, the captain of the Slaughtering Pirates was one son of a bitch who liked to rape women and see them cry as he fucks them like a beast.

The reason why the Slaughtering Pirates have never been caught by the Marines despite all the atrocities that they committed, it’s because the Marines in this area are quite corrupt and didn’t do anything about the Pirate Activity on Polaris Island after being bribed by the Slaughtering Pirates.

That was the case when we arrived on the island, and to be honest, we wouldn’t have bothered with whatever the Slaughtering Pirates did on Polaris Island had they not irked me and my crewmates by trying to force themselves on Esdeath and Medusa.

I mean, I get that both of them are extremely sexy and hot, they have perfect figures and anyone who sees them would want to mess them up, however, the Slaughtering Pirates were a bunch of idiots for even thinking that they can force themselves upon those two. And it wasn’t very surprising to see their dicks being chopped off by Esdeath as she tortured them to the point of insanity.

After Esdeath had satisfied her Sadistic side, Medusa fed the Slaughtering Pirates to the sharks.

The people of Polaris Island were very happy and grateful to us for what we did, they even called us their heroes and saviors, however, in my eyes, they were just a bunch of ignorant fools.

I mean, we are not like Straw Hats, unlike Luffy, I am not a liberator, and unlike how Straw Hats operated after Esdeath and Medusa dealt with the Slaughtering Pirates, we robbed Polaris Island, and we took as many resources as we needed, whether it was food, wealth, or books, we took it all and left the island after a few days of stay.

Because of our actions, the people of Polaris Island were left in a very precarious situation where they lacked food to pass the winter and didn’t have enough wealth left to buy those resources from another island, surely, many of them would die of malnutrition, but that has nothing to do with me and my crew who were already on our way to the next island.

One of the many benefits of visiting Polaris Island was that we were able to determine in which part of East Blue we are, and therefore, we were able to set a course for the Island I want to go to. It’s been nearly three weeks since then, and we have passed several islands on our way, we stopped by to stock up on our supplies and continued towards the island I want to visit. I believe we will be reaching that Island soon.

“Captain… I see an island ahead; based on our course so far, it should be Shimotsuki Island.” Medusa’s words woke me up from my slumber. I got up and walked up to Medusa and looked at the Island pointed by Medusa through my Spyglass, and nodded, “Yes, you are right, it is Shimotsuki Island.”

That’s right, the island that I wanted to visit is Shimotsuki Island where not-so-famous and heavily underrated Isshin Dojo is located. There are several reasons why I came to the Isshin Dojo, first is to gain some understanding of the Shimotsuki Swordsmanship taught at the Isshin Dojo, and the other reason, or should I say the main reason is to recruit the newest member of my crew.

After confirming that the Island ahead is Shimotsuki Island, I instructed Genos to dock the Wicked Wench near Shimotsuki Island, and then, I, Esdeath, Escanor, and Medusa rowed a small boat to the Island, Genos decided to stay on Wicked Wench in case of any emergency.

The four of us arrived at the Island, Esdeath and Escanor went to the market of Shimotsuki Island, while I headed to the Isshin Dojo with Medusa accompanying me.

3^rd Person P.O.V.

As Ban and Medusa approached the gate of Isshin Dojo they were able to hear the sound of wooden swords colliding and disciples training. Children as young as six or seven years old to sixteen or seventeen years can be seen training their Swordsmanship skills at the Isshin Dojo. One thing to note was that all the children training here were boys, not even a single girl could be seen, ‘It seems that Isshin Dojo and the Shimotsuki Village really operate in that manner…’ thought Ban, but didn’t really care all that much.

As Ban and Medusa arrived at the door of the Dojo, they were immediately noticed by the students and instructors of Isshin Dojo.

One of the instructors walked up to Ban and Medusa, and observed the two for a while, then questioned in a stern tone, “You two are?”

Ban introduced himself, “I am Fox D. Ban, and she is Medusa. We are here to meet the master of Isshin Dojo, I believe his name is Shimotsuki Koushirou?”

The instructor looked at the two with a skeptical gaze, he wasn’t sure whether to allow the two visitors inside the dojo. Just when he was pondering over what to do, a voice came from behind, “Hekate-kun, let them come inside.”

The instructor named Hatake looked behind with a surprised expression, “Koushirou-sama!?”

The person who called out from behind was none other than Shimotsuki Koushirou, the master of Isshin Dojo. As Ban and Medusa also looked at the middle-aged man, Koushirou looked at the two with a smile and beckoned Hatake to let them in, “They are guests from afar, let them come inside.”

Since Koushirou had personally come out to welcome Ban and Medusa, the instructor Hatake no longer stood in their way and allowed them to go inside without any issue.

Ban and Medusa nodded to the instructor Hatake, and then followed Koushirou to the guest room of Isshin Dojo. On the way inside, Ban observed all the children training, among them, he was able to recognize two children, one with green hair and lightly tanned skin, carrying three wooden swords, and the other with dark tanned skin and white hair.

Looking at the two kids, Ban thought to himself, ‘They must be Roronoa Zoro, the second member of the Straw Hat Pirates and Saga from the movie ‘The Cursed Holy Sword’.

Ban and Medusa sat opposite Koushirou as they were presented with tea. While feeling the warmth of the tea, Koushirou looked at the young man before him and questioned, “You mentioned that your name was Fox D. Ban, right? I wonder what someone of your caliber is here for Ban-kun?”

Ban answered casually, “Naturally, I am here to study Swordsmanship… After all, there aren’t very many places where I can get a glimpse of good Swordsmanship…”

Koushirou smiled hearing Ban’s answer, and casually mentioned, “Hmm, I suppose you are right; however, this is not the complete answer, studying Swordsmanship is not your only purpose for coming to Shimotsuki Island captain of the Khaos Pirates, am I right?”

Ban shrugged, “I guess you can say that, however, I don’t really need to inform you everything about my purpose. I can assure you that I and my crew won’t do anything to harm the people of this Island, we aren’t for that. Aside from my other purpose, I am majorly here to get a glimpse of Shimotsuki Swordsmanship. Once I see that I will peacefully leave this Island.”

“Is that right?” asked Koushirou while deeply at Ban.

Ban and Medusa answered, “Rest Assured.”

Koushirou nodded, “All right, I suppose I will take your word for it.” He was able to sense no hostility from either Ban or Medusa, so he chose to believe them. After they reached an understanding, Koushirou got up from his seat and beckoned the two people, “Follow me.”

Ban and Medusa nodded and followed Koushirou to an empty Kendo Training Room. Here Koushirou tossed a wooden sword to Ban, and after picking one for himself as well, he took his stance and said, “All right then… show me your current Swordsmanship skills.”

After catching the Sword tossed to him by Koushirou, Ban nodded, “Very well.” As he took his stance and rushed toward Koushirou.

And that's about all for the Chapter - 5.

I apologize for taking so many days for delivering the new chapter, but, well that's it, I was busy with all of things related to my studies.

Anyway, now Ban and the crew have arrived at the Shimotsuki Village, the purpose, I am sure everyone can guess already... but oh well.

Next chapter we are going to recruit the newest member in the crew.
