With the price being kept at 5 silver coins, I could afford to live a comfortable life while synthesizing Dumbbell Weed each day. Thank goodness for the potential of Glutamate Herb!

“I’d be happy to sell them to you for 5 silver coins! I’ll come once a week to sell them all at once!” (Lewin)

“Yeah. Until the experiment that I’m working on is successful and I have a proper vision for selling it, I’ll just be keeping them for my own use so I won’t be able to buy too many of them at once. Please understand that.” (Clive)

“If that’s the case… how many would you want to buy per week?” (Lewin)

“Around 15 stalks at most each week. At the current stage, I won’t be able to buy much more than that. But if by chance, what I’m trying to do ends up succeeding, at that time I’ll probably buy somewhere between 1000 and 10000 stalks.” (Clive)

The scale of his plan was so outrageous that my jaw dropped in surprise. If it was 1000 stalks… just how much money would that be…?

“No matter how hard I try, I wouldn’t be able to sell you 1000 wholesale. If I try my best with gathering, in one week the most I could give you is about 100, I think.” (Lewin)

“Well, when I said 1000, I just meant that I would buy them all regardless of how many you had, so you don’t have to take that statement too literally. So… how much can you sell to me wholesale in a week right now?” (Clive)

“Let’s see… As it stands right now, you can expect to get about 7 per week.” (Lewin)

“About half of what I’m willing to buy, huh? It’s kind of an iffy number… If that’s the amount you can do, I might have to also send out requests for adventurers to collect Glutamate Herbs.” (Clive)

“That’s right. If it was just me, it probably wouldn’t be enough, so I think it would be good for you to put out requests for it.” (Lewin)

“Sorry for coming at such an inconvenient time. Please take care of yourself.” (Lewin)

“I just finished up with my Glutamate Herb experiments, so it wasn’t a bad time or anything like that. Well… I’m going to be sleeping for the next two days, so I should be fine.” (Clive)

“Okay, as long as you’re getting enough rest. I’ll be off then!” (Lewin)

“Sure. I’ll see you next time you come to sell things then.” (Clive)

Alright! With that, I was finished with all of the errands that had been accumulating up until today. I put in the knife processing request and picked up the potions I had the grandma brew for me. I also heard about the estimated price of Glutamate Herb from Clive and bought the ingredients to make Dumbbell Weed curry, so there was finally nothing left for me to do.

All of my preparations were now in place. Starting from tomorrow, I could devote my entire being to training without having to think about financial problems.

Speaking of training, I wasn’t sure if I could do much else other than strength training and practicing my sword swings though. Since I could synthesize a large amount of Medical Herbs at this point, even if I pushed myself too hard with some crazy levels of training, I would still be able to heal myself.

When I got back to the rundown inn, I immediately took the time to drink all of the potions that the grandma just brewed for me. There were 2 Minimum-grade Magic Potions and 3 Low-grade Magic Potions. Since there were 2 Medium-grade Magic Potions, if my calculations were correct, after drinking all of these my total magic power capacity should be 87. With this, I would be able to make one Dumbbell Weed and one Glutamate Herb each day. However, I found out today when I was buying ingredients for curry that the cost of spices was quite painful. I knew that the price of spices was high from when I sold them earlier, but buying them in large quantities made me realize all over again just how high the price was. Because I bought a large bulk, I actually spent about 4 gold coins on curry ingredients today alone. Given that I would earn 5 silver coins per day from Glutamate Herb, there was a chance the cost of curry ingredients could exceed the amount from this income. Since I only had 6 gold coins left on me, I would have to keep a close eye on my lifestyle from here on.

If it came down to it, assuming I spent all of my magic power on synthesizing Glutamate Herb, I could make 12 in one day. So if I was careful about it, I wouldn’t need to worry about running out of money.

With these thoughts in mind, I finished prepping the ingredients for tomorrow’s Dumbbell Weed curry and then got ready for bed so I could start synthesizing some plants. As I focused my concentration on my left hand, I started feeling that draining sensation in my left hand as the magic power began sapping away. Then, my whole body began to tremble, propagating from my left hand. It was the second time I was feeling this series of sensations, but it was really difficult to get used to. I waited a bit for the weakness to dissipate, and then suddenly, the trembling disappeared as if it was a lie. There in my left hand was the Dumbbell Weed, successfully synthesized. Immediately afterwards, I synthesized a Glutamate Herb. With my remaining bits of magic power, I synthesized 1 Magical Grass and 2 Medical Herbs before my whole body started feeling weak. At last, starting from tomorrow, it was time to start my all-out training routine using Dumbbell Weed. Even if it was by a little bit, I wanted to train my heart out so I could catch up with Ahmed and change my shameful, good-for-nothing self!

With those eager thoughts in mind, I gently drifted off to sleep.
