Suddenly we all were in a room; it was a big room with enough desk for all of us to sit. Kendel was at the front.
“Take a seat.”
Everyone sat at their own desk.
“The second test will be on your monster knowledge.”
A few people spoke up
“Oh! That’s easy!”
“Phew, I thought it’d be hard.”
“I’ll ace this, easy!”
I looked at Kendel with a blank expression.
What the fuck does monster knowledge mean? Did it mean people so strong they were called monsters? Cause if so, I was fucked.
Suddenly a paper and pencil appeared on the desk.
“If you talk or cheat at all during this test... You can imagine the consequences.”
I looked at the paper, I wrote my name in the top left corner.
[How do you kill an orc?]
What? The fuck is an orc?
‘Slice it’s head off.’
I mean, if it’s alive than just cutting its head off would solve most scenarios, right?
[How do you kill a goblin?]
‘Slice it’s head off.’
[What is the weak point of a troll?]
‘The head.’
[You are bitten by a Snreaper, how do you cure its poison?]
The fuck? What’s a Snreaper? If it’s poison then just some medicine, right?
‘Medicine.’
[If there are multiple different species of monsters gathered in one place, what can you assume?]
‘Danger.’
[If you encounter a dragon, how do you survive?]
Dragon? I know those are.
‘You don’t.’
There were a lot more similar questions, I answered the best I could but I had no clue what most if not all of these monsters were.
I finally got to the last question.
[What is the worst monster known?]
‘Human.’
I sighed and leaned back in my chair. I looked around and it seemed like almost everyone else was finished.
A few minutes later, Kendel started to speak again.
“Good! Everyone finished and no one cheated!”
“I applaud you all!”
“We’ll move to the next test immediately.”
In the blink of an eye, we all appeared where the first test happened.
It seemed like everyone else had gotten used to it, but I was still confused by how it happened.
Kendel appeared in front of everyone and started to speak.
“The next test... Is fighting an orc!”
People all around suddenly gasped.
“What!?”
“We can’t fight an orc!”
“There’s no way!”
“Heh, why are you lot scared of an orc?”
“It’s just a measly orc.”
“Settle down everyone, settle down.” Kendel spoke and shushed everyone.
“You won’t be fighting the orc alone, gather in groups, maximum of 4.”

The people around me suddenly started to group up. A lot of people immediately went to the 4 who didn’t stop running and asked them to group.
There were even some people who asked me.
“Hey, can we group together?”
“Can we?”
I looked at them before hearing some people speak behind me.
“I heard he hangs out with gangsters...”
“He has a nasty attitude, right?”
“I heard even the gangsters he hung out with hated him...”
Suddenly the people in front of me started to speak again.
“Ah, never mind, sorry, I found another group!”
“Me too!”
I yawned; it was shockingly similar to my previous life. I would talk to some people and then once someone said that I was ‘Unfallen’ they’d run away.
The only ones who really stuck around were trying to use me. It’s how I got a pretty good idea of someone's intent when looking in their eyes.
“Hey, group with me.”
A voice came from behind.
Looking at her, it was one of the 4 who didn’t stop running. She had long black hair with red eyes.
“Okay.”
I had no clue what an orc looked like. I just assumed cutting off its head would kill it, so someone who has more knowledge would be way better.
After a few minutes, we didn’t get any more group members. We didn’t talk to each other much, we only exchanged names. Her name was Ella.
“Alright, everyone's in their groups?”
“Good! Hmm, let's see...”
“You guys will go first!”
Suddenly the people Kendel pointed at disappeared.
After a few minutes they re-appeared looking injured and the next group disappeared.
I decided to ask Ella a question.
“...Do you know how to kill an orc?”
“Slice it’s head off?” She responded in a monotone voice.
“I think so too.”
It went silent. We didn’t exchange any more words until it was our groups turn.
All of a sudden, we appeared in front of an orc.
It had dark green skin, big extended teeth, and a big wooden club in its hand.
Was this an orc? It certainly didn’t look human.
Could I beat it? I think so.
If I thought of his club like a metal pipe, then I was used to fighting against that. The only problem was his strength, the orc had a lot of muscles so I assumed it was strong.
“I’ll go first.”
The voice from my left started to charge in. Ella was fast and her sword movement looked perfect.
She swung at the orc’s head but it blocked with its club.
Is that club stronger than metal? It’s thick I’ll give it that.
The orc swung his club down at Ella which caused her to backup far away. But it caused a big dust explosion to appear.
What the fuck? It’s fucking strong.
I unsheathed my sword and got into stance, though I had no clue about the swordsmanship I could at least defend for a bit with the footwork.
The orc started to charge at me and swung. It was fast. If I didn’t spar with Irene all those times, I wouldn’t have been able to dodge it.
It continued to rush at me, I was barely able to dodge its attacks, but when I did, I was in its blind spot, though, I couldn’t attack. I still felt uncomfortable using a sword. Ella suddenly appeared behind it and tried to slice its head off from behind.
Her sword got caught in the neck of the orc.
How the fuck?
The orc turned around and kicked Ella far away.
He looked back at me with a devious smile.
Shit, I might be fucked?
