Chapter 1: Chapter 1: The Gate

*Beep beep beep beep!*

The siren roared over the block, alerting the presence of a hostile gate opening nearby.

The announcer connected to the siren promptly takes over as she announces the Gate's location, type, and danger level.

Announcer:" A sudden appearance of a gate is being detected at the north end of Harmony Plaza! Civilians are advised to leave the area immediately, and those who cannot go must seek shelter! Stay safe while Gate Closers is on their way!"

After ensuring the Civilians know what to do during the crisis, the announcer proceeds to announce the detail of the Gate to any nearby Gate Closers.

Announcer:" The energy level released by the Gate is being analyzed by our Gate Specialist; they believe that the level of the Gate is above 900! All active Gate Closers below Level 500 are advised to retreat along with any Civilian found near the Gate appearance zone! We will give more information in a moment!"

Hunter A:" Fuck! I was shopping with my girlfriend, and it just had to show up now."

Hunter B:" Whatever, man, let's get it over with; since we are at Harmony Plaza, the bigshot will arrive in no time."

Two Hunters appear to be approaching the impact zone as they mutter complaints to themself.

Hunter B:" Good thing we are only Hunter, though. I would hate to imagine closing a Level 900 Gate."

Approaching from the south end, a group of three heavily geared Gate Closers moves toward the Gate in sight.

Their leader is a tall and slender, handsome yet stern-looking man with a long white ponytail; he wields a black draconic-looking lance pulsing with red lighting, seemingly clashing with each other on the sharp end of the lance.

He is Shen Long, the strongest of the Gate Closers within the Fallen Asura guild and the Sky Shattering Dragon squad leader.

On his right is a huge and bulky man with his face hidden by a black ogre-like helmet; his presence emits an unstoppable aura that towers over the team, causing the effect of an indomitable squad to all that witness it.

He is Bo Xing, pillar and tank of the Sky Shattering Dragon squad, boasting the challenge record of 173 victories and 8 defeats, with all losses challenging the one and only Shen Long.

At the left of Shen Long is a woman of short stature with crimson double-bun hair. She appears to be slightly hovering above the ground with the help of a pair of flaming golden rings right below her feet. She wears a crimson cloak that covers her with an intense yellow flame from the neck to her feet.

She is Huo Er, a self-proclaimed lover of Shen Long, and possesses one of the unique guardian spirits known, Third Lotus Prince Nezha.

Arriving in front of the Gate, Bo Xing slams the end of his hammer down the ground as he activates a skill.

[Titan Aura: Forbidden Kill Zone]

The skill used is a skill belonging to the unique class  Titan that, when used, surrounds the user with a 3 by 3-meter wide red circle; any entity that enters the ring will cause the user to immediately react to the presence of the enemy and strike at the weak point of the target automatically like a reflex.

Bo Xing: "Portal Secured. We should be fine unless an S-class entity emerges from the portal."

Huo Er: "Now we wait~."

Shen Long: "....."

While they waited for information about the Gate to be announced, nothing appeared to happen to it, and there was no sign of any entity emerging from it. More and more hunters eventually gathered around the vicinity as they seemed pretty bored while also relieved of the current situation.

After 3 minutes, the silence was finally broken when they heard the announcer's voice from the siren.

Announcer:" The threat rank of the Gate is... Blank! I repeat! The threat rank of the Gate is Blank! The Gate Specialist is unable to determine what lies behind the Gate! No information has been gathered! Proceed with caution as anything could happen beyond the Gate!"

Huo Er: "Fuck! I hate Blank!"

Bo Xing: "What a waste of time."

Shen Long: "Let's go; there's no use complaining about it."

Their figure promptly vanished as they entered the Gate.
