Chapter 15: Chapter 13: Delivery and Testing 

 

Scratching his dark hair awkwardly Jake was honestly intimidated by the countless eyes staring at him, he wasn’t really good at being the center of attention.

 

The interior was also amazingly squeaky clean, with oval metal tables held by strange white light causing them to levitate. And the simple cloudy colored yet, open space interior décor gave the guild a cozy welcoming feel to him.

 

At a distance he eyed a reception counter shielded by a transparent glass window, and behind was a mysterious faceless receptionist alien.

 

A large translucent cube approached him and proceeded to enclose Jake, then blew an orange gaseous cloudy substance on him, cleaning him and giving him a warm refreshing feel as if he was straight from a hot shower.

 

“Visitor Sanitized” Announced the cube, which then flew away leaving Jake a little confused and moist. After all that, the aliens stopped eyeing Jake and returned to their own chattering.

 

‘Oh! Looks like Sanitizing is a big thing around here. Is there a Galactic disease I should know about?’ Thought Jake.

 

He then approached the pale white skinned receptionist, with a faceless oval shaped -head, wearing a golden head band mounted with a round gem stone. She was adorned in a long white robe attached to a shiny golden shoulder collar that also was mounted with a sapphire monster gemstone core of high quality.

 

Her hourglass busty figure and D-cup chest where what truly enticed Jake’s currently disorderly and chaotic lustful mind.

 

‘Hello there handsome, how can I help you?’ A sensual voice attacked Jake’s perverted mind. He then activated his Scouting tactic.

Staring for a while he took a moment to regain his bearings and reply back.

 

“The name is Jake Flinch, an acquaintance of Starlight Geneva, here to deliver her updated map, and also here to get myself an affinity test.”

 

‘Starlight?’ Pondered the model figured receptionist, her head band created a question mark‘?’ symbol and she then fiddled with some buttons hidden away from Jake’s vision below the glass window.

 

Using her two fingered long milky-white pale hands, to gesture towards a blue glowing rubik’s like cube that phased through the glass and released a port. ‘Please connect and transfer the map inside the Safe box drive.’

 

“Okay!” Said Jake who connected it.

[Transferring locked map]

[Transferred information secured and has no cyber virus.]

 

The box lit up green, and levitated back towards the receptionist who nodded satisfyingly to herself and fiddled with the buttons and another rubik’s cube floated towards him.

 

[Hacking skill!]

[Uiss coins transfer initiating.]

‘Oh my! This is rare seeing someone without an intercom of ‘affiliation’, where have been living? At a deserted planet, fufu!’

Otherwise I wouldn’t be a real lover of all species.” And realizing his rashness with the crowds eyes staring at him with shock as if he was signing his own death, he fazed it off with his thick-skin.

 

The gem on the receptionist’s golden head crown, turned a warm mix of pink and beet red heart shaped bubbles appeared.

 

‘I-interesting indeed. W-well then! Why don’t we have you go through the affinity guild tests, to receive a Guild intercom?’ Fiddling with buttons she made *beep* noises and a blue portal passage way, opened up by the white wall next to the receptionists table.

 

‘P-please enter through the portal and await further instructions.’ Her bald head, faced down in a shy manner, which for a sec confused Jake since she had no eyeballs, but whatever, if his smooth talk worked why get caught up on the non-important stuff.

 

Nodding his head Jake gave the receptionist a ‘mind’ wink, who then waved him off shyly till he entered the portal with a smirk.

 

Feeling a slight dizziness after walking through the portal, with a feeling similar to blood rushing away from his head, Jake found himself in what looked like a white room chamber.

 

Staring up! He witnessed a large screen floating hologram that displayed the following words in code that he translated.

 

“Welcome! To the Numen tier 4 testing, Reality Space Room (RSR), you will go through the following tests, focused on testing on your [Elemental Affinity], [Agility], [Perception], [Strength], [Intelligence], [Charisma], [Wisdom], [Dexterity], [Vitality], [Willpower].” Read Jake out loud.

 

Butterfly winged shrimp-like drones detached themselves from the white walls, creating *Buzz* noises with multi-colored rainbow wings.

 

They then circled around Jake radiating him with the rainbow light.

 

*Scan complete, Test Subject lacks 4 stats out of the mentioned above, Candidate class [E] rank, configuring room to test subjects Explorer Job potential by testing the available stats.*

 

The mechanical shrimps with butterfly wings dispersed away from Jake and re-attached themselves to the wall, and transformed the interior of the white room into a wide sandy desert with an arena in the middle, surrounded by four colossal robed statues similar to the holograms he saw when he got outside the tunnel but had a total different air to them he could not pin-point.

 

He could feel the burning heat of the sun and the statues were more than 60 meters tall, all of them hooded and covered with a robe, then a profound light emitted itself from the dark hoods similar to glowing red eye pupils in the darkness.

 

Still mesmerized by the glowing eyes, an echoing feminine voice announced somberly in his head [Dangerous magical weapon detected!] which was followed by a male robotic voice in the desert illusion.

 

“First test Defense.”

 

[Defense]: The bodies’ durability towards external attacks and nullification of attacks to HP bar.

 

The large statues then released a red beam from their hidden eyes at an astronomical speed and hit Jake, square on his chest which prompted an agonizing yelp from him, “Aack!”

 

[You have been hit minus 15 points damage received!]
