Chapter 110: Tempering a Body by Burning It

 [Rumble!]

 After Vincent waved his hand, the surrounding earth began to shake and then rise before starting to form columns at the edges of the 5-meter area around him.

 [Rumble~]

 After 2 minutes, five 3-meter-tall, sturdy white columns were formed in that area.

 …

 After 5 minutes, new butch of columns began to form, but now at 10 meters around Vincent, forcing people to move back a bit further.

 After 7 minutes, more than a dozen of those columns were established.

 After 8 minutes, the earth began to construct a sphere-like ceiling that was attached to the columns 10 meters from Vincent.

After 9 minutes, another such ceiling began to take shape, but now, it was attached to those columns 5 meters away from him.

After 10 minutes, the construction of two ceilings was completed, as well as some sort of podium that looked as if it was made of sturdy white stone under Vincent.

 At 10 minutes, this, a bit of weird construction, that reminded somewhat of Stonehenge with a double half-sphere-like ceiling that was attached on top of the outer row of these 3 meters tall white columns at 10 meters from the center, and also at those at 5 meters from the center, where Vincent was sitting on the white altar-like platform.

 Vincent was calmly sitting cross-legged in the middle of this strange construction, surveying it from inside. His white hair slightly danced under the chilly wind.

 [Whistling~]

 The cold winter wind flew inside the structure, creating a low whistling within it.

 This construct looked as if it were a round-like room with multiple entrances and a sphere-like ceiling, standing in the center of the same, but bigger room.

 'I'm ready. The weather is also quite pleasant. This construct should help people outside. Let's hope that I will not need Zarack's “help” again… Maybe, he is even looking here right now…' Vincent surveyed his creation for some time and said to his mother.

 “Anna and Emma, you both and the others with Fire Element, will need to spread your Aura to slowly, but steadily heat the area within these columns at 5 meters around me until I say enough”, Vincent calmly explained as he looked with his crimson eyes at his two wives.

 Emma nodded.

 Anna looked at this odd building and then smiled at her husband.

 “Of course, son”, Anna nodded and called Skylar.

 “Skylar, you heard him. You know better than me who of your people are Fire mages, so gather all of them here”

 Skylar quickly nodded and walked toward the other girls.

 While she was gathering others, Vincent turned his eyes to Bella and Emilia.

 “Bella and Emilia, you need to gather Wind mages and create a thick Wind Barrier between the 5 meters and 10 meters columns to isolate the surrounding heat generated by the Fire magi group”, said Vincent and turned to look at Annie after Bella quickly nodded.

 “Annie, Emily, High Elder Nicholas, and all other healing mages will need to use your distance healing spells directly on me, while my body will be burning under that heat. It will slowly temper my body as it will recreate the destroyed flesh to replace it with a new one that will be adapted to a new environment. This new flesh will be Fire-resistant to some extent, which allows me to use Lightning magic without endangering myself”, explained Vincent.

 “Be careful, dear. I will use my new spells to do everything to heal you, as you said. I believe that you will manage to do it”, said Annie with a worried tone. She will hate herself if her healing will not be enough, so she will go all out.

 On the other side, Nicholas was quite intrigued by this structure and Vincent's words. 

 “Vincent, are you sure you can handle the pain? I doubt that you experienced such hellish suffering before. You could just buy some special tools that will help you handle the Lightning element without endangering yourself”, said Nicholas as he looked at an almost naked white-haired man through one of the entrances in that structure. 

 “Fuck the tools”, uttered calmly, Vincent as he closed his eyes to prepare himself.

 Nicholas really wanted to see the result of such a tempering process. 

 'A lot of Fire mages do such body tempering, but… they do it on a much lower scale just to reduce the damage from using ordinary fire element. Of course, many crazy people tried it, but I don't remember anyone who managed to survive after tempering for Lightning magic and tell about it'.

 “Haha, okay then, let's see how it goes” laughed out loud Nicholas and slightly nodded his head.

 'If you succeed… then I need to inform our Clan Leader about you. He might really have a chance to complete his plans, and it looks like he bears some hate towards most humans.  Meanwhile, Bella also moved as her charming eyes looked only at Vincent.

 In the middle of the structure, Vincent already felt the rising heat outside, but his “ACA” was nicely protecting him from it.

 He looked at Annie and Nicholas.

 “Annie/Emily, Nicholas, and other healers, you all will begin my healing only after you will see that the flesh under my skin is starting to burn. Only after it, remember. Don't pay attention to my appearance and get worried about me, just do your job and wait until I say enough”, said Vincent lastly and closed his after he stood up.

 The temperature in 5 meters around him was already 30 degrees Celsius and was steadily rising without stopping, but it had yet to touch Vincent, as he was still protected by his transparent aura that could even protect him from the fire created by a 4th-ranked mage.

 After a few seconds, Vincent finally discarded his “ACA”, allowing the heated to 50 degrees Celsius air to touch his body.
