Chapter 18: Martial Art Elder Realm

At night in bed.

Ye Kai's eyes are open, looking at the ceiling.

"You are still awake?" Ye Nuan comes out of the bathroom.

Ye Kai noticed she was wearing a different nightgown, her hair was wet, and she was coming out of the bathroom; she had probably taken a bath, and she smiled as she approached him as if the intense pain she had been experiencing was nothing.

"Why did you take a bath?" Ye Kai asked.

Ye Nuan sat at the edge of the bed and said, "Well, it's hot, and making dinner and washing dishes made me sweaty, so I thought taking a bath would be refreshing."

Ye Kai looked at her and frowned. He saw his mother get on the bed, lay beside him, and put her arm on his chest.

Ye Kai turned his head and looked at her. His lips parted, then he closed them. He was frustrated because his mother had been hiding her pain for sixteen years, and he pretended everything was fine.

At first, he didn't feel anything, and he thought he would just loot the money and cure her, and he didn't feel much urgency, he thought he had years to cure his mother, and even just before he showed his mother in pain, he just went to the system and brought something to relive her pain, then thought about the sex.

He felt bad, he felt bad because he saw his mother smiling even after the pain she had gone through before, and this has been happening for the past sixteen years, doing all the housework, taking them out for play, and making food for them. Isn't she doing too much? also blaming herself for his weak physique. She is enduring a lot of things.

"What? Do you want to say something,? You've been staring at me for a while," Ye Nuan asked.

Ye Kai looked at her, then moved his hand to pull her toward him and hug her, saying, "I just wanted to say thank you for doing so much for me and that I love you."

Ye Nuan heard her son's words, and his firm hug made her heart warm; she hugged him back and said, "I love you too."

The two hugged each other for a while before Ye Kai said, "There is something I wanted to give you."

"Huh? What?" 

They break the hug and sit on the bed. Ye Kai puts forward his hand, and a crystal ice flower with dew in the centre of it appears. As this flower appears, the surrounding air becomes cold.

Ye Kai saw that his mother was shocked, and he put an ice-dew flower forward and said, "Eat this, and the pain you felt earlier will reduce a lot."

Ye Nuan was shocked upon hearing her son's words. She took some time to process, then looking at her son, she asked, "How did you know? and how did this Ice Dew Flower appear?"

Ye Kai knew his mother would be asking this, so he simply said the same thing he said to his sister, just removing the part where he said his physique would be healed.

Hearing Ye Kai, Ye Nuan said in disbelief, "Impossible, let alone the Dark Sirius Kingdom or even those Four Temples didn't have things that could store things."

She took Ye Kai's hand in hers, looking at it carefully.

"Mother, what is the temple?" Ye Kai asked, knowing what Dark Sirius was and where it was located; he didn't ask about that. The Dark Sirius Kingdom is the strongest of the four kingdoms, but he had never heard of temples.

Ye Nuan continued to look at Ye Kai's hand, and when she saw that there was nothing wrong with it, she let it go and rubbed her temples, feeling fear for this unknown powerful man; who is he? Why did he give his son these things? What happened to his son's hand? And the Magical Herb Water he left behind for her daughter, is it safe or not? But one thing she knew, was that this mysterious man was powerful, and if he wanted to harm his children, she couldn't do anything.

Ye Kai didn't know his lie create another burden on his mother, right now he is waiting for his mother to tell him about the Four Temples. 

After Ye Nuan got a chance to calm down and see her son's gaze and recall his question, she sigh and said, "Kai'er, you know our world is dominated by the strongest."

Ye Kai nodded.

"King is king because he is the strongest in our kingdom, but he is only the strongest in our kingdom; there are some more powerful people than our king, and those people are the ones who cross the Martial Art Commander Realm and become Martial Art Elder Realm, and Four Temples are controlled by such people, and they are also masters of our Four Kingdoms; because our kingdom is weak, we must offer half of our resources to temples."

Ye Kai was shocked to learn about the existence of the Four Temples and also that there is a higher realm after Commander; he always thought Commander was the end, but there is more.

And not only that, but these Four Temples are controlling the Four Kingdoms from the darkness.

He shook his head; he didn't need to think about that right now. His first goal should be to cure his mother; other things can come later. But first, he needs to convince his mother that there is a powerful man who is good and will not harm us. And after some more lies and his Supreme Acting Skill helped him to convince his mother, she is still suspicious, but not as suspicious as before.

"So mother, you should eat these, right?" Ye Kai said as he wipe no existent sweat from his forehead.

Ye Naun looked at Ice Dew Flower, nodded, and gulped it down. She felt a cold wind blow all over her body, and she felt comfortable. As she closed her eyes, she enjoyed this sensation.
