Chapter 2: Chapter 2: The Coronation

The spell was successful, Montana was transported to her room. With her body drained from the magic the twins made, she rests for a couple of minutes. After gaining most of her senses back, she opened her eyes to see if it was still blurry or not. When her sight went back to normal she stood up and got ready for her coronation. She still felt drained, but knew that it wasn't an excuse to be late for her coronation. While dressing, a sudden knock was heard from the door, and on the other side, was a voice that she knew and recognized but didn’t want to hear.

Voice: Mon? Are you ready? It’s about to start, I’m here to escort you

Montana: Ughhh... One second, I’m just fixing my hair

Voice: Are you okay? You sound exhausted, I can hear you breathing from the door

Montana: Shut up, I’m okayy, Okay?

Voice: Ughhh it’s your coronation and it starts with you being late, Come on MONN and Hurry up. You're taking forever

Montana: Dain, I swear if you don’t shut up right now, I’ll... UGH just call someone else to escort me, like Leo or something...

Dain: I would if I could, but Mother was the one who asked me to do it. I wouldn't want to disappoint her

Montana: Mother? She asked what?!

Ugh we both know you don’t like being in large crowds, just go, I'll make up an Excuse for Mother.

Hearing what Dain said made Montana regret what she said, after getting his point she decided to stay quiet after asking for more time. After a while, Montana finally finished getting ready but suddenly stopped at the door. She took a deep breath, speaking to herself that everything would be okay and opened the door, she then greeted Dain with a smile and asked how she looked. Dain didn't answer instead he turned his back and told her to grab his arm. Montana was surprised to see Dain wearing his Royal Clothes since he doesn't like wearing them. She decided to break the silence by teasing him.

Montana: How long has it been since you last wore your Royal Clothes?

Dain: I-uhh don’t know, I prefer my coat.

Montana: I don’t know... It kinda suits you

Dain (sarcastically): ha-ha

Montana: Hahahahaha~, I’m being serious

After what she said the silence once again came upon them as they head towards the Palace's Ball where the coronation is said to start.

Montana: Dai-

Dain (monotone): I’m okay, just focus on your coronation... Are you nervous?

Montana: Dain... I uhh

Dain: Are you?

Montana couldn't answer and the silence began again but this time it was longer than the past ones, they continue to walk, going left and right towards the Palace Ball. When they finally reached the door, Montana suddenly felt nervous, so she unconsciously released her hand from Dain’s arm and turned around hoping that Dain wouldn't notice. When Dain felt her leave his side, he turned around only to notice what Montana felt. He then went to her and grabbed her shoulder and spoke.

Dain: So you are nervous...

Montana: Shut up, you-

Dain: You don’t have to be nervous. Just do as you did in the practice and get this thing over with.

Montana went silent, she looked down and held her dress tightly to avoid her hands shaking. Seeing Montana in this state made Dain think of what he could do to help her. He then stood in front of her and held her chin up, making her look at him. But Montana let out a sigh and turned her back at him. He then took her hand and spoke

Dain: Sorry... I shouldn't have said that, I won't be like the others and tell you "don’t be nervous" and stuff like that. You should be nervous.

Montana was surprised of what he said, so instead of turning her back on him again, she calmed herself and decided to listen to what he had to say

Dain: You should be nervous, because… it proves how much effort you gave in preparing for this moment...

Montana knew what had to be done, she just didn’t have the courage to do so, which made her lower her gaze thinking about her worth. When Dain noticed this, the young boy then gently fixed her hair grazing her in the ear as he took a step closer

Dain: Be nervous, but don’t let it control you. Just... Show them how much you've done for this moment.

Montana then came back to her senses after hearing what he said, but before she could say something he walked in front of her and held his arm out, waiting for her to take it. She knew what he meat so she took a deep breath, grabbed his arm and continued walking. When the door opened, she felt Dain’s hands shake, but then stopped. Only then did she remember that Dain didn't want to be in large crowds, especially with Royalty. When they reached the stairs, she felt nervous after hearing the people stop talking after noticing her. She looks at Dain who looks at her at the same time, and greeted her with a smile she'd never thought he'd do and spoke saying.

Dain: Good luck. I'll be right here.

She took a deep breath and proceeded to go downstairs, and one by one she greeted the guests who were waiting for her, as she slowly went towards her parents. After reaching her seat beside her mother, the guests slowly went back to their assigned places and waited for the coronation to start. After that, Dain took a seat on the second floor where he was put in request to his Mother and watched as the coronation started. The King, Roderick, stood up from his chair and announced the start of the Coronation. The guests stood up and watched as the King started his greetings and the introduction to the event. Later on he crowns his daughter as the Princess of Chisaiki. The King and Queen then proceeded to speak their speeches.

The Audience applauded and clapped as Montana, the new dubbed Princess, stood up. All the men then got on one knee, while the women bowed as respect to their new Ruler.The Queen then held her hand as the guests went back to their seats. The nobles then stood up and lined up one by one, expecting for the Princess to take their hand to start the Dance. The Twins stood up from the crowd and joined the others. Montana was in surprise that they were there but knew what she had to do. She held her hand towards the two as the Twins look at each other, Kai nodded in agreement as Kaiden accepts her hand. The two then walked in the middle of the ball and did their stance. The music starts and they start dancing together. After a while, couples decided to join the two. When the first song ended, the crowd faced the two and clapped as Kaiden went back to his seat. Kai stood up and went towards Montana, who was still in the middle of the Ball. He then held his hand out as she accepts it, perfectly timing their stances for the second song they begin to dance.

Kai: You did it Mon, flawlessly too. But I can’t believe the new Princess is still that of a child

Hearing him say that annoyed Montana so she decides to ‘accidentally’ step on his foot, acting like she made a wrong move

Montana: Ohh~, sorry~, I’m such a Child

Said the new Princess while stepping on the young man yet again

Kai: ow-oww yepp yeah I get it sorry.

The dance then ended as the two of them bowed to each other after that they went back to their seats. After a couple of minutes, countless waiters came in and started to serve each table with the meal they had prepared. After they finish serving, they head back as the Royalty dig in to their served food. The room was then filled with noise as the guests began chatting. After finishing her food, she excused herself from her table and headed towards the Terrace, where she laid her arms in the railing as she stares at the night sky. She then notices someone going to the garden and when she focused her sight she noticed that it was Dain, who sneaked out of the party and headed towards the garden. She then laughs it off thinking of how her brother didn’t change and went back to admiring the night sky once more. Surprisingly Leo appears from behind her and went beside her laying his glass to the railing.

Leo: The Princes got worried and asked me to look for you, and after searching for every room in the palace I see you're here admiring the night sky

Montana: Well, why did you still come? I can handle myself you know...

The Twins then appeared behind them saying that they followed Leo.

Kai: You still haven't changed have you? Still admiring the stars at the same place, in the same time...

Montana: WOWW is everyone here now? This is supposed to be my private tim-

-Ughhh if only Sophie and Scarlet came, I’m being surrounded by idiots

Kaiden: They did, but they left earlier before the dance started, saying that there are other matters they needed to attend to.

Kai then laid on Kaiden’s lap as Montana laid on Leos, then all four of them admired the night sky as they finish drinking their beverages, they chatted and chatted as the hours passed, and one by one. They left with Montana being the only one left in the terrace. She then takes a sigh of relief happily knowing that the day was over, as she goes back inside.
