Everyone on the battlefield at this moment was either dead or exhausted, and they could not even stand straight without stumbling.
So when they heard Ozul's ruthless cold orders, everyone began to panic. This kid had killed a Rank-8 Mage without even batting an eye, how would they be able to escape?
Before they could even look around themselves for an escape route, Raven and Blaze rushed towards the weaker bunch.
They did not question his orders, but they were also affected by the Monster's earlier 'attacks'. So they could only go against the weaker bunch.
Ozul had wanted to kill all the witnesses because if the word of him coming out alive out of a Rank-10 existence leaks out, many unwanted parties will start to annoy him.
Moreover, the survivors comprised of two parties. The 1st group belonged to Eclipse's Order's remnants, while the other was the loyal men of Duke Edwin.
Everyone present on the scene had done one atrocity or another. But even if they were innocents, Ozul wouldn't think twice about his decision.
Raven and Blaze just needed to take care of the people most in a half-dead state. While Ozul seemingly only walked through the masses.
However, just like Duke Edwin, all the people that were near him had their heads sliced off!
No one was able to see the black blades due to the attack speed! How could they, when even Edwin, a Rank-8 Mage, was not able to see it?!
In a matter of minutes, all the people on the scene were dead.
Though just as Ozul and the duo were about to leave, Ozul sensed the presence rushing towards them from the other side.
He did not want to bother with this new individual since he was already exhausted after the previous series of events. It would only be a bother to deal with another nuisance.
However, just as he was about to leave;
"Halt your steps!"
Raven and Blaze had recovered a bit more after drinking those 'health potions'. So when they heard the loud voice, both quickly turned around thinking that they might have missed someone.
Ozul sighed but still chose to turn around. The new individual had already noticed them, and it would only get annoying later on if he just left like that.
Raven and Blaze stood before Ozul when they faced the new individual.
They saw from the trees came out an old man with shiny red hair followed by a girl who also had long red hair. Both the individuals wore a silver-plated armor even though they seemed to be Mages.
The trio did not make a move and just kept staring at the new arrivals. When the old man swept his gaze to the battlefield, he was shocked out of his mind.
How could he not when he saw all the dead bodies? Hundreds of children's bodies lay lifeless on one side while there were tens of adult's corpses on the other.
What had happened at this place!? He could not figure out, but just then, the girl following behind him puked.
She could not take in the scene in front of her eyes. She had seen many battles, had killed people too, but it was her first time to see such a grim display.
The old man did not turn around to help the girl since it was her experience. She would have to get used to it.
But then the old man saw something that shocked him. The head that lay near the body was none other than Duke Edwin's!
Edwin Abilon, one of the 4 Dukes in the entire Silverbird Kingdom, had died?! How would he even begin to explain this to his Majesty?!
The old man with red hair had a conflicted expression on his face. He was the man who Emperor Luthien had sent to assist Duke Edwin.
However, he now stood before the Duke's dead body. The mission had not even started yet, but he had already failed.
No matter where he looked, the only life he saw was the three teenagers in front of him. All of them looked haggard, but their eyes glowed with a cold glint that the old man did not miss.
He made his way towards them when the girl behind him had recovered a bit. Though her face still looked a bit pale.
Her icy expression did not lose one bit to Raven when she was approaching the trio.
Both groups just kept staring at each other when Ozul decided to speak up as he just wanted to leave this place.
"I don't have all the time in this world...What do you want?"
The armor-wearing Mage was again surprised to see the kid talk to him with such a cold tone. He was about to reply when;
"Watch your tone! You..."
The girl with red hair did not like Ozul's way of talking, but just as she was yelling, the old man gave her the eye to shut her up. The girl just snorted and looked away.
"Please excuse her manners. I'm the Chief Leader of the Silver Knights squad, Rufus."
The old man kindly introduced himself as Rufus. He expected some kind of reaction from the teenagers in front of him, but he was left disappointed. There was no reaction whatsoever to his words.
This attitude made the girl grit her teeth, but just then, Rufus again started talking;
"This girl behind me is my apprentice and also my granddaughter, Irene. She just respects and loves me too much, so I hope you can forgive her."
Ozul just kept coldly looking at Rufus and Irene. He knew that this Rufus was an observer. He had already noticed that they were not some random teenagers.
Well, it wasn't hard for Rufus to make out the situation. In the massive battle that had occurred here, only three teenagers survived—anyone would be suspicious of the group.
Moreover, Rufus had all of his attention on Ozul, unlike Irene, who darted her eyes between Raven and Blaze.
Rufus had noticed the kid in the back had the most injuries, but he did not even exude a bit of Mana! Him, a Rank-8 Mage, cannot sense the Mana waves from a teenage boy—it was truly embarrassing.
Also, Rufus was sure that this kid was not an average human because surviving in a battle where even a Rank-8 Mage had died was close to impossible for a regular peasant.
"May I ask your names?"
Rufus asked, trying to break the ice. He was in a tough position since the teenagers around him all had icy cold expressions.
