The whole building started shaking and this sent all the people into panic mode not knowing what was happening, as they came out of their rooms and gathered in the front yard.
"Zuri! Get out of this place!" Tia rushed toward her. Before she could step out any further than this, she grabbed her hand and forced her to stop.
Get out of this place? She must be kidding. There was no way Zuri would listen to her.
However, her grip was so tight, as she pulled her back and made her stop running. Surprisingly, she was so strong for someone so old like her.
Even for a shifter, she looked old enough...
Zuri frowned, she disliked this. "Get off me," she growled viciously, she needed to get to Chaos quickly.
However, there was something in her grandmother that made her unable to show more aggression than this. She looked so firm when she told her to leave.
"Get out of this building!" Tia was literally growling at her granddaughter.
They were blood related and there was a long story that had not yet been told, but Zuri didn't feel the connection between them. She didn't feel like she was among her family, it almost felt like when she visited another pack.
"No!" Zuri fought the urge to bow her head to show her submissiveness. She hated it when the leader of a pack used this method, forcing their power to make the members obey them. "I need to go to Chaos."
"What can you do?!" Tia glared at her angrily and for some reason, this scared Zuri a little bit. "What can you do to help? Do you have the power to stop him?!"
The sword. The black sword.
Zuri shook her head internally, she didn't want to resolve this using that sword. There was a chance that Chaos wouldn't be able to survive this time.
"Do you?!" Zuri retorted.
Tia shot her granddaughter a dagger look, but she reminded her of her daughter, Zuri's mother, about how stubborn she was and how she didn't think twice before following what her heart said was right.
"We can try to restrain him!"
The building was shaking badly, as if it would collapse at any given moment and then they heard a loud blasting sound from the direction of Zuri's bedroom once again.
Zuri's hand was still in the tight grip of her grandmother, or else, she would be dashing toward her bedroom right now.
Meanwhile, Tia used the mind link to communicate with someone, and after that, she dragged Zuri with her.
"Where are you going?!" Zuri glared at Tia for dragging her away in a direction different from where Chaos was.
"Chaos is not there! He is in the backyard!" Tia shouted at Zuri, which made her shut up as she followed her without question.
Despite the chaos that they were in, Zuri was surprised to see how nimble Tia was, as she ran as fast as she could and without having much difficulty.
"Damn it!" Tia cursed under her breath and then cursed again as they moved. She swore like a sailor. "You should have told me once you noticed there was something wrong with him! Now, he is just trying to ruin my place!" Tia snapped at her granddaughter.
"You should have told that woman not to interfere! Or else, I would have gotten to you before all of this happened," Zuri snapped back.
Hearing that, Tia stopped blaming Zuri immediately, but she didn't stop cursing.
How could someone like her be cursing like that? This amazed Zuri...
And once they arrived at the back yard, they saw eight people there with Chaos in the middle of them, as they surrounded Chaos.
However, what made Zuri stop dead in her tracks was the replica of the invisible wall the young woman made to prevent her from going into Tia's bedroom earlier. Only this time it was very huge, and in a dome shape, trapping Chaos inside of it.
"What are you doing to him?" Zuri gasped, she looked at Chaos, but he wasn't looking in her direction, yet she could see how dark his eyes were and it was not a good sign.
"We need to stop him." Tia took two steps closer and then raised both of her hands, which made the invisible wall start glowing a little bit brighter, as if she was strengthening it. "Zuri!"
"What?!" She really wanted to know how they could do this and as far as she knew, if you were a shifter, then you wouldn't be able to use any magic, but it seemed the same rule didn't apply to the white wolves.
Was this the reason why Xerxes was crazy over her being a white wolf? Because they had so many secrets?
"How did you stop him the last time?!" Tia asked urgently.
She knew about what happened with Chaos when one of his shattered souls, the dragon, ran rampant in the east draghar a few months ago. It was Zuri who had stopped him then.
"Zuri!" Tia called her name again because she didn't reply to her question. "Are you listening to me?!"
Zuri clicked her tongue. Why did this granny love to nag so much?
"I am listening to you!" Zuri shouted back at her because she raised her voice first.
"Then what were you doing, girl!?"
Zuri was silent, she glanced at Chaos who was trapped inside a dome that was created by about eight members of the pack and Tia.
The doom was like soft light that surrounded you and because it was quite dark around this area, the shape of it was a little bit clear, if you looked at it closer.
"I don't know!"
"Bullshit!"
Zuri grimaced. "I have never met an old lady that loves to curse like you," she complained under her breath, but of course, Tia heard that, but she didn't care what her granddaughter thought about her.
There was a lot of time to talk about that, but right now, there was another urgent matter.
"Get your ass here and start telling me what you have done to stop Chaos in the past!"
"I don't want to!" Zuri needed to stab Chaos with the black sword that he gave to her. Stupid Chaos. Didn't he think it was too much to give her this burden!?
Zuri rejected it when Chaos gave the sword for the second time, but she couldn't do anything, since he had put it inside of her.
Zuri knew how to draw the sword out, but she swore that she would never do that, no matter how severe the circumstances were.
She didn't want to stab him again.
"Silly child! Do you want all of us to die!?" Tia was losing her patience toward her granddaughter, and she felt like she wanted to shake her body hard so she could think straight and start becoming helpful. "Start talking! What have you done, or I will push you toward him to deal with him yourself!"
"Are you even my grandma!?" How could she casually say that she would throw her granddaughter to a raging mad devil?!
"You don't know me, don't call me grandma, we are not there yet!"
Zuri was stunned by that comeback, but even more stupefied when Tia grabbed her jacket and literally threw her inside the dome, she was so strong and Zuri was taken aback to retaliate.
"What the hell!?" Zuri stumbled on her feet as she entered the dome, where she was standing only three steps away from Chaos. "Damn it."
"Stop him!" Tia said loudly. There was not an ounce of regret in her voice when she threw her granddaughter to Chaos.
On the other hand, Chaos turned around and faced Zuri, his face was devoid of any emotions, he seemed to not recognize her, just like what happened before.
Meanwhile, Zuri gritted her teeth, she balled her fists beside her body and took a step back when Chaos started to approach her.
"Don't run away, silly girl! Stop him!" Tia shouted behind her and if she could, Zuri wouldn't hesitate to strangle that old woman. She was very annoying and not helping at all in this matter. "Do you really want to die?!"
Tia was annoyed by how Zuri was trying to avoid Chaos, instead of facing him.
"Shut up!" Zuri shouted back at Tia, but her eyes were fixed on Chaos, who came closer to her, but there was no indication that he recognized her.
Right at that time, there was a little bit of commotion from behind Chaos and the dome shattered into a million speckles of lights.
There was the sound of someone screaming and followed by the others.
Zuri covered her face with both arms when the light was so bright, but when the blinding light had disappeared and her surroundings dimmed, she saw someone standing across from them.
It was Aaron with a little girl next to him and also the alpha of the black wolf pack.
Under his feet, two of the members of the white wolf pack fell on the snow. They were not moving, but it was hard to tell whether they died or not.
However, their attention now was on Aaron and Chaos had turned around to face the devil as well. He stood with his back to Zuri.
If this was a normal circumstance, she would think that he was trying to protect her, but it didn't seem so at this moment. n-.O--v-(e-.L--B-.1-(n
"Chaos..." Aaron sighed when he called his name. "I was looking for you. I thought you had disappeared. I am glad I found you here."
