[Sunday, July 28th]
I wake up at 6:00, sandwiched between Mii and Chinatsu, who seem to be competing on who can be more on top of me. If so, Mii has won hands down. She still has her face between my breasts and is halfway on top of me.
I have to admit that she’s cute as hell, and Chinatsu is right, she does seem a bit babyish in the way she is clinging to me, although I understand why she’s acting this way. When Sora-nii was being bullied so badly, all he wanted was someone to hold him and tell him that everything would be okay. So, if this is part of what she needs to cope, I’m happy to provide it for her. I wonder if this is what being a mother feels like?
Smiling, I softly stroke her hair and quietly say, “Mii?” She moves around a little and settles back between my breasts. “Mii, come on. It’s time to get up.” She opens her eyes, looking around as if she doesn’t quite know where she’s at. “Good morning, Mii.”
She looks at me blankly for a second, then smiles, and says, “Good morning, Sora.” She sits up and stretches.
“Did you sleep well?”
She smiles sunnily and says, “Wonderfully, actually. I think this is the best night’s sleep I’ve had in a long time.”
I sit up and tell her, “I’m happy to hear it.” After sitting up, I realize how damp my nightgown is. I suppose I got hot sandwiched between the two of them.
Slightly shaking Chinatsu, I say, “Chinatsu, time to get up.”
She opens her eyes and says, “Good morning, Sora.”
“Good morning.”
She looks at Mii and says, “Good morning, Mii. How are you feeling this morning?”
Mii smiles at her and says, “Good morning, Chinatsu. I’m fine, considering I probably got my brother sent to prison last night.”
Chinatsu frowns. “Mii, you didn’t do anything wrong. Your brother and his friends made the decision to do that to you. Had they not, then this wouldn’t even be an issue, now would it?”
Mii shakes her head and says, “No. I know you’re right. Sora said the same thing last night.”
Chinatsu adamantly states, “Of course she is, and so am I. Mii, sweety, you’re no more at fault for that than we are.” Chinatsu touches her cheek. “You didn’t ask for them to do that to you. If Sora or I were in your position and had a brother that did that to us, we wouldn’t bat an eye at sending him to prison.”
Mii looks at me and I say, “I’d do it in a heart beat. No one deserves to have that done to them… Mii, think about this, if he was willing to do that to his own sister, what do you think he would do to some girl he doesn’t know? You already said that he was going further and further each time it happened. They stripped you down to your panties and messed around with your genitals, so what do you think their next step would have been?”
Her eyes widen and she asks, “Do you really believe they would have raped me?”
I say, “They basically already did. The only thing lacking was penetrating you. I fully believe that would have been next. Why do you think you’re here? We’re not going to give them a chance to hurt you ever again.”
Tears form in her eyes as she asks, “Why would Shin do this to me? Until I found out I was fertile we always got along so well.”
I tell her, “I don’t know. We may never find out why they did it.” I brush away her tears. “Mii, I’d like you to talk to someone about this. I see a psychologist and I’d like you to talk to her as well. She can help you work through this. She’s helped me with a lot of my problems.”
She brushes away her tears and nods. “If you think it’s a good idea, I will.”
I smile and say, “Thank you. Now, how about some breakfast?”
Chinatsu asks, “You don’t want to bathe first?”
I shake my head. “We might as well wait until Hiro delivers Mii’s clothes. She has nothing to change into, and nothing we have will fit her.”
Chinatsu shrugs and says, “Okay.”
We get up, brush out our hair, wake Sofi and Honoka and head downstairs. Chinatsu starts some coffee while Honoka and I start breakfast. Honoka and I decided on fried eggs, sausage, hash browns and biscuits with gravy.
Mii hovers near me as I cook until I finally shoo her out of the kitchen after bumping into her for the third time. Even then, she sits at the table in the chair closest to the kitchen watching me work. Shortly before we finish cooking, I send Sofi to wake Mama, Dad and Chiaki. We’re setting the serving platters on the table as they come in and everyone exchanges ‘Good mornings.’ We sit, serve ourselves and begin to eat. After we eat and are cleaning up, the door intercom chimes. Chiaki goes to answer it and comes back with Hiro, who’s carrying several suitcases and garment bags.
I say, “Good morning, Hiro. You can set those down by the wall. We’ll carry them up in a little bit. Have you eaten yet? We still have some left.”
He sets them down and then says, “Good morning, everyone. Thank you, but I’m not hungry. Miyuki, did you have a good night?”
She walks over to him and says, “Good morning. Yes, I slept better than I have in a long time.”
He bends down and quietly asks, “How are you?”
She shrugs. “I’m still upset, but Sora had a long talk with me last night in the bath and then Chinatsu and Sora talked to me again this morning about all of this. I realize it isn’t my fault and Shin and his friends made the decision to do this to me. Sora wants me to see her psychologist and I’d like to do it. She thinks it’ll help me.”
He nods. “If that’s what you want to do, then that’s what we’ll do. Baby girl, all I care about is that you are okay.”
She smiles at him. “I’m fine, Dad. Sora promised that she’d never let anyone else touch me without my permission.” She breathlessly asks, “Oh, did you know Sora’s a genius?”
It’s everything I can do not to burst out laughing. As I look around, I can see that I’m not the only one, everyone is smothering their laughter. Not because of the question itself, but the way she asked it.
He grins as he says, “Yes, I do. You don’t get to be the CEO of a corporation at 13 unless you are exceptional, and Sora is very exceptional. What are you planning to do today?”
“We’re going shopping,” she says happily.
I walk up behind her, wrap my arms around her and tell him, “We’re going to get the rest of what she needs for Okinawa. We’ll go eat lunch after that. Hiro, please, don’t worry. She’s perfectly safe with us. You have no idea of the amount of security that follows us around when we leave the house. By the way, I have an appointment with my psychologist on Monday morning, so if you don’t mind, I’ll take Mii in with me to see her.”
He nods and says, “That’s fine with me. Are you sure it’s okay for her to stay here?”
“I’m positive. Dad told you it was alright as well.” He still looks uncertain, so I tell him, “Hiro, really, it’s alright. Mii is welcome here for as long as she wants. I promise that I’ll take good care of her.” I turn to look at my sisters. “Chinatsu, Nee-chan, Sofi, would you mind helping Mii carry her bags up to our room? I need to speak to Hiro alone for a moment.”
They say, “Of course not.”
“Mii, help Chinatsu hang up your outfits so they don’t wrinkle. I’ll be up soon to help, and then we’ll go bathe.”
“Alright Sora.” She looks back to her Dad. “Bye, Dad. I love you.”
“Bye, baby girl. I love you too.”
Everyone helps her carry her bags up to our room.
Once we’re alone, I say, “Alright, out with it.”
He sighs and rubs his face. “Shin never came home last night.”
I quirk an eyebrow. “Has he done this before?” He nods. “He might have decided to take off to the beach with his friends since Mii is going to Okinawa with us.”
He nods. “That’s a possibility, but he could just be running the streets again. So, keep an eye out for him when you’re out.”
“Hiro, Shin is the least of my worries. He and his friends pose no danger to us. Even if it was just my immediate family, they wouldn’t. Honoka and Sofi know martial arts and I’m fairly proficient in them myself. I meant what I said, Mii is perfectly safe with us.”
“I know she is. I’d still prefer her to be at home with me.”
In a sympathetic tone, I tell him, “Trust me, I understand, but I’m not letting her go back there until Shin and his friends are dealt with. It’s simply too dangerous for her. They were within a hairs breadth of raping her last time. Who knows what they would do if they got their hands on Mii again. I promised her I would protect her and that’s exactly what I’ll do, even if it means fighting you to do it.”
He smiles and shakes his head. “You’re an amazing young lady, Sora. There’s no need to fight me about it. I just want Miyuki to be safe.”
“Thank you. I told you that I want to break her out of that shell of hers.” He nods. “You do know that means she’s going to have to spend a lot of time with me and my sisters?”
“I assumed so.”
“Okay, just making sure.”
“She already seems to be somewhat attached to you.”
“That’s fairly typical. I’m a stable point and I care about her, so I’m sort of like a life preserver that’s keeping her from drowning. Chinatsu was mine. I would have drowned without her to support me. Bullying by itself if bad enough, you have no idea what it did to me, or Mii. I told you that it’s insidious and that’s downplaying it. Add them sexually assaulting her and take a guess where that’s left her.”
I look him in the eye and state, “Hiro, you might need to prepare yourself because she may never recover from what her brother and his friends did to her. We’ll just have to see how it goes and what Airi says. Either way, I’ll always be here for her. I’ll never abandon a friend, no matter what.”
His eyes widen for a moment and then he smiles at me. “Thank you, Sora. You don’t know how much that means to me that you said that.”
“You’re welcome. I need to get upstairs so we can go shopping. Oh, why doesn’t Mii have a phone?”
“Same reason she didn’t have much in the way of clothes. She said she didn’t need or want one.”
I nod. “Then we’ll get her one. She needs it and will definitely want it now. Okay, I’ll see you later, call me if you want to talk to Mii or just come over.”
He lays his hand on my shoulder and says, “Thank you for everything you’re doing for Miyuki. Bye, Sora.”
“Bye, Hiro.”
He turns and leaves the house. Blowing out my breath, I head upstairs where I help them finish hang up her outfits.
“Chinatsu, we need to find you something that is fairly dressy. We’ll be eating lunch at Kaiseki 411.”
“Alright.”
Mii asks, “What should I wear?”
“It’s alright, I’ll pick something out for you.”
“Thank you. Fashion is not something I know much about.”
“You’re welcome and don’t worry, we’ll work with you on how to coordinate your outfits. I’ll be right back, I need to tell Nee-chan and Sofi.”
I go tell Sofi and Honoka, and then head back to our room. Delving through Mii’s garment bags, I pick out a linen sapphire blue, cowl neck, empire waist dress for her. Some sheer, nude stockings and her white ankle strap heels.
I quickly select an outfit for myself and the three of us make our way down to bathe. Honoka and Sofi are already there undressing, so we quickly follow suit. In the shower, I notice Mii looking at all of our breasts and then down at hers with a frown.
Taking the short step to her, hug her and whisper, “Don’t worry, now that you’re eating properly you’ll begin filling out. It’s just going to take some time.”
She looks a bit skeptical, but she says, “Okay.”
You should have seen how she ate this morning at breakfast. I had to wonder where she put it all because she had four fried eggs, four pieces of sausage, three servings of hash browns, and three biscuits covered in gravy. I’m actually surprised she could eat it all with how small her stomach should be from not eating properly. I know she didn’t go throw it up since one of us was always with her this morning. Whatever, I’m simply happy that she’s eating well.
After we shower, we climb into the tub to soak. Chinatsu gives me an unhappy look when I sit down beside her, but I’m sure she understands. Mii has been a boisterous little chatterbox since we came down to bathe. She reminds me of a puppy that was left alone too long and doesn’t know what to do with itself when you return. On one hand, I’m happy to see her act this way, but on the other, I’m afraid that she’s overcompensating.
After we get out, we dry off, blow dry and brush out our hair. We dress and I sit Mii down to style her hair. I part it on the right side, feather the top and sides back, and use some hair spray to make sure it stays in place while leaving the back loose. I glance at Chinatsu, who nods approvingly.
I trade places with Mii, and Chinatsu asks, “Sora, how do you want me to style your hair today?”
“Umm, I think a chignon would look good.”
This is a style that she’s very used to doing for me since I wear it a lot when I go to work, so it doesn’t take her long to do. Once she’s done, she trades places with me. I style hers in a double-twisted low ponytail and add a white bow-adorned hair clip. That done, we head up to our room to put on our makeup.
While Chinatsu is doing hers, I ask Mii, “Do you know how to use makeup?” She shakes her head. Sighing internally, I think, ‘We have so many things to teach her.’ Then I say, “Alright, well, it’s easy enough to teach you how to use it, but I’ll do your makeup for today.”
“Thank you… Umm, would you mind if I call you Sora-nee?”
Smiling at her, I caress her cheek and tell her, “Of course, you can call me Sora-nee if you want.”
Smiling happily, she says, “Thank you, Sora-nee,” and hugs me.
Chinatsu gives me a look and I mouth, ‘What?’ She gestures to Mii, mouths, ‘Don’t baby her,’ and stands up from the desk.
Chinatsu says, “Mii, let Sora go so we can do your makeup.”
Reluctantly, she releases me and sits down at the desk. I quickly apply her eyeliner and mascara, followed by lipstick and gloss. I smile, lightly tap her nose with my fingertip, and tell her, “You’re adorable. Just look at yourself.” She turns to look into the mirror and a dazzling smile blossoms. “See? I told you yesterday, didn’t I?”
She nods, turns to look at me and says, “I know it’s me, but I still find it hard to believe.”
Chinatsu tells her, “Believe it. You’re a very cute girl, Mii.”
She smiles at Chinatsu and says, “Thank you.”
“Mii, trade places with me, so I can finish getting ready.”
She gets up and then sits on the bed while I sit down to put on my makeup. Once I’m done, I pick up the perfume we use, put a dab behind each ear, then do the same for Chinatsu and Mii.
“There, we’re ready.” I look Mii in the eyes. “Mii, listen to me. When we leave the house, you’re not to leave our side. Don’t wander off. If you want to look at something let us know and we’ll go with you, alright?”
“Okay.”
I nod, remove one of my purses from the closet, drop in my makeup and wallet, then text Mr. Okami to meet us at the gate and drop my phone in my purse as well. “Alright, let’s go.”
We collect our sisters as we head downstairs. Walking into the living room where Mama and Dad are, their eyes widen. Mama says, “Mii, you’re lovely. I barely recognize you as the girl we met on Saturday.”
She bows to Mama and says, “Thank you very much.”
I tell her, “Mii, young ladies don’t bow, we curtsy. It’s like this…”

I lower my head in a respectful manner, take the sides of my dress between my thumb and first two fingers, slightly lift my skirt, while I move my right foot behind my left, and bend down with my knees outward with most of my weight on my left foot. Returning upright, I tell her, “Now, you try it.”
She follows my example to the letter. I tell her, “Great job,” and she smiles beatifically.
She says, “But I’ve seen a lot of girls bow.”
Mama chimes in with, “True, a lot do. Note that Sora said young ladies. A curtsy is a classy form of bowing for ladies. You’ll never see one of our daughters bow.”
Mii replies, “Oh, okay. Then I’ll curtsy from now on.”
I say, “Mama, we’ll be eating out for lunch. I’m not sure when we’ll be back, but it should be before dinner.”
Mama nods, “Okay. Take care, and have fun.”
Nothing much happens while we shop. Mii clings to my arm as we meander slowly from store to store, buying a skirt, blouse or dress as we find items she likes or we think will look good on her.
We stop by Sakura Lingerie and buy her a couple sets of silicon breast forms to fill her out a little more. I’m hoping it will help improve her self-confidence. They aren’t big, but they do take her from being barely an A cup to a full A cup. Chinatsu and I take her into the fitting room and help her put a set of them in her bra. Once we situate her dress and zip her up, she looks at herself in the mirror, turning from one side to the other.
Smiling brilliantly, she looks at me and says, “Sora-nee, look! I have breasts!”
Chinatsu and I giggle at her declaration. Smiling, I pull Mii to me, hug her and tell her, “Sweety, you already did. This just emphasizes them.”
While we’re there, we buy her several more bra and panty sets, plus a few camisoles. This time, most of the bras are strapless since we’ve bought her several off the shoulder, crop top and halter top dresses and blouses.
I also buy her a set of quarter carat blue diamond stud earrings and we get her ears pierced. In the same store, I buy her several chokers and necklaces. In another store, we buy her a jewelry box.
I glance at my watch and see that it’s close to time for our lunch reservation, so we carry everything out to the SUV and head over to Kaiseki 411. When we get there, Mii’s eyes bug out.
In an awed tone, she asks, “Sora-nee, isn’t this place expensive?”
I shrug. “It is, but we can afford it. I think you’ll like the food here. They serve some of the best Kobe beef in Tokyo.”
Inside, we announce ourselves to the hostess and are seated. Chinatsu, Honoka, Sofi and I were only able to finish about two-thirds of our meal, yet the tiniest girl here finishes all of hers and eats the rest of mine.
Chinatsu leans over to whisper, “Where does she put it all?”
I shrug. “I don’t know, but I’m not going to stop her from eating however much she wants. She needs it to fill herself out.”
Once Mii finishes eating, I call over the waitress, ask for the bill and add a 20% tip. I hand her my card and the bill and she takes it to settle the bill. When she returns, she hands me the slip and my card, which I return to my wallet. I sign the slip and hand it back to her.
Chinatsu stops me as we’re leaving and says, “Sora, you need to stop allowing her to cling to you like this. It’s not good for her.”
“Was I any different right after my change? You were my anchor point. Chinatsu, for better or worse, I’m her anchor point right now. Think about it, Chinatsu. All she has known is an abusive world. At school, or at home, it didn’t matter. She didn’t have a safe place. We have to give her one and some time to heal. She should come around when she feels safer.”
Chinatsu worriedly asks, “What if she never comes around?”
I shrug and say, “Then I suppose I’ll be taking care of her for the rest of her life. I’m not going to abandon her.”
Chinatsu grimaces and says, “Damn it Sora! I’m not suggesting you should! I like her too, but you aren’t her mother!”
“No, I’m not, but for all intents and purposes, I might as well be. Chinatsu, she needs me, desperately. I can’t and won’t turn my back on her. I put myself in this position and made promises to her.”
She shakes her head and states, “I know all of that and that’s not what I’m saying. I’m just worried she’ll become dependent on you and be unable to do anything for herself.”
I sigh deeply and ask, “Chinatsu, why do you think she’ll be seeing Airi? I’m not stupid enough to think I can fix her problems on my own.”
“Alright, Sora. I’ll drop this for now, but remember what I said last night, you have other people that need you as well.”
I smile at her. “I haven’t forgotten. I know Ryu and you need me and I need you two as well.”
She nods, mutters, “You’re damn right we do,” takes my hand and we walk out to the SUV.
Next stop is getting Mii a cell phone. Of course, this is just a matter of finding a decent smartphone in a color she likes that is easy for her to hold in her small hands. She finally finds the one she wants in silver. I have them activate it and pre-pay for three months of service. On the way home all of us give her our number and we enter her’s in our phones. I put her dad’s phone number in her phone as well and have her text her number to him.
Settling back in my seat, I relax as Chinatsu leans against my shoulder on one side and Mii on the other.
The rest of the day is rather normal. Mama and I make hamburger steaks for dinner, we eat and clean up. Ryu comes to pick up Chinatsu while Honoka, Sofi, Mii and I go take a bath. After we shower, we climb into the tub to soak. I’m relaxing with my eyes closed when I feel someone climb onto my lap. I open my eyes to a smiling Mii, who hugs me and says, “Sora-nee, thank you so much for today. I had so much fun.”
“I’m glad you did and you’re more than welcome.”
She lays her head on my shoulder and relaxes as I hold her. Honoka quirks an eyebrow at me while Sofi simply grins.
We climb out and dry off before too long. Then we blow dry and brush out our hair. I head into the living room to tell Mama and Dad goodnight and then we make our way upstairs to our room.
Taking the same positions we did last night, Mii scoots down, buries her face in my breasts and throws an arm across me as I hold her and gently stroke her hair. A few minutes later, her breathing evens out and she’s fast asleep.
[Monday, Jul 29th]
I wake up at 6:00, Chinatsu and Mii are sprawled across me again. I move Chinatsu’s arm and leg off of me and gently roll Mii over onto her back so I can sit up and stretch. I then wake them both up.
Getting up, Chinatsu and I pick out our outfits for today. Chinatsu heads down to start filling the tub while I chose something for Mii that I think will be extremely cute on her. A white, off the shoulder, empire waist babydoll dress, black lace patterned stockings and her red cross-strap pumps.
Gathering up our change of clothes, we wake Sofi and Honoka and then head down to bathe. After bathing, we dress and style our hair. Then we all head to the kitchen to start breakfast. We eat and clean up. Upstairs, Chinatsu and I put on our makeup and then I do Mii’s for her. Gathering everyone up, we head to NTI Medical Center.
On the ride there, Mii is squirming all over the place, so I ask, “Mii, what’s wrong?”
She has an apprehensive expression as she says, “I’m nervous, Sora-nee.”
I wrap an arm around her shoulders. “It’s okay, there’s no reason to worry. Trust me, Airi is very nice and easy to talk to.”
She nods, says, “Okay,” and settles against me for the rest of the ride. Mr. Okami drops us off in front of the hospital and Mii clings to my arm as we make our way up to Airi’s office. After we check in, we take a seat. It’s not long before a woman comes out followed by Airi. She waves to us and I wave back.
After she checks out the client, she comes over and says, “Good morning.”
“Good morning, Airi.”
“Why don’t you come on in?”
I nod, take Mii’s hand and we follow Airi. Mii clings to me when we sit down on the love seat and Airi sits in her normal chair. She quirks an eyebrow at me.
“Airi, this is Miyuki Yoshida. I’d like you to talk to her today instead of me. She’s been through a lot and I’d like you to take her on as a client.”
“Sora, you still have a lot to work out yourself.”
I nod. “I know. I don’t plan to stop seeing you.”
She shrugs and says, “Okay. I don’t normally do this, but I know you wouldn’t ask me to do this unless it’s important.”
“Trust me, it’s very important.” I turn to Mii. “Mii, I’ll be right outside with my sisters. Tell Airi everything that’s happened to you. She’s a nice lady and she’s here to help you.” It’s obvious how uneasy she is, but she nods. I reach up, caress her cheek and tell her, “Good girl. I’ll be just outside this door.”
I head out to the waiting area and sit down. Chinatsu asks, “How is she?”
I grimace and say, “Uneasy as hell. I could tell she didn’t want me to leave.”
Chinatsu smiles. “Exactly like someone else I remember.”
I smile and nod. “Sora-nii and I have our share of issues.”
She takes my hand and holds it. “Sora, you’ve come a long way since that day.”
“Maybe so, but I still depend on you for so many things.”
“That goes both ways.”
I lay my head on her shoulder while we wait. About 40 minutes later the door opens and Mii comes out. Airi looks at me and says, “Sora, would you come in please?”
Getting up, I walk into her office and she closes the door behind me as I sit down on the love seat. After Airi sits down, she says, “Sora, you know that’s a very troubled young lady.”
I nod. “I know. Why do you think I brought her to see you today?”
“Do you have any idea how troubled she is?”
“I’ve got an idea. Her brother and his friends almost raped her.”
“Sora, before she met you Saturday she had planned to kill herself.”
I sit bolt upright and cry out, “What?!”
She nods. “She was going to kill herself that night. She changed her mind after having so much fun that day with you, Chinatsu and Ryu. You ought to have seen her smile when she said you also invited her to Okinawa.”
Worried, I ask, “Do you think she might still try?”
“It’s possible, but highly unlikely. Now, though, you have a problem. She’s firmly attached to you.”
“I know. It’s not much different than Sora-nii used to be with Chinatsu. I mean, I am as well, but not to the extent he was.”
She nods again. “Exactly. Sora…” She scoots forward in her seat. “If you abandon her, she’ll probably follow through with killing herself. I also believe we need to get her on an antidepressant.”
“Airi, I can’t make that kind of decision for her. Hang on a second.” I pull out my phone, scroll through until I find Hiro’s contact and click on it.
A couple of rings later he answers, “Hi, Sora. Is something wrong?”
“Hi, Hiro. Umm, I’m here with Airi, the doctor I told you about. Are you alone?”
“Yes, I’m in my office.”
“Okay, good. I’m going to put you on speakerphone.” I click the speaker icon and set my phone on the coffee table. “Hiro, as I said, I’m with Airi and there’s a few things I think you should hear. She also has a recommendation.” I gesture for Airi to take over.
“Hiro, I’m Airi Sasaki, a psychologist at NTI Medical. I finished talking with Miyuki not long ago. She’s a very troubled young lady. Between the bullying at school and then at home from her brother and his friends she’s deeply depressed and borderline suicidal. The most recent incident where they sexually assaulted her was the last straw and she was going to kill herself to make it stop…”
He gasps out, “What?! Are you sure about that? That doesn’t sound like Miyuki.”
“Yes, I’m absolutely certain. She had it all planned out. That is, until she met Sora. She had so much fun with them and then Sora invited her to go to Okinawa. Of course, this has created another issue now. Miyuki is now very attached to Sora. I don’t think it’s a good idea to try to separate them for now.”
“For how long?”
“I really can’t say for sure. I can tell you that Sora is the only thing keeping her stable at the moment. Hiro, I’m also recommending that we put Miyuki on antidepressants.”
“Do you think that it’s necessary?”
“I do. They’ll help stabilize her.”
“Okay, then let’s do it.”
“Alright, I’ll give Sora the prescription before they leave. I’ve already been told they are going to Okinawa for two weeks, but when they get back, I'd like to see Miyuki three days a week. I have openings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:00. Assuming you agree, her first appointment would be August 16th at 4:00.”
“If you think that’s best, then please set the appointments for her. Back to your other point. You said it’s not a good idea to separate Sora and Miyuki, does that mean she’ll need to live with Sora for the time being? I assume Sora is going to agree to it. Of course, I’ll say yes since it’s either that or commit her, and I don’t believe that is going to help her.”
I speak up, “Hiro, I told you already, Mii is welcome to stay with me for as long as needed. All I care about is that she’s safe and happy.”
He sighs. “It’s not like I have much choice here. I’m not going to commit her unless there’s no other way.”
I tell him, “Hiro, I don’t think there’s much we can do other than have her stay with me, but it’s up to you. If you want her to come home after we get back from Okinawa, then she goes home. Assuming her brother and his friends have been dealt with, of course.”
Airi says, “Hiro, I don’t recommend that you make her come home. Home has become a terrifying, extremely stressful place for her.”
“No, I’m not going to do that. Sora, I’ve already seen how attached she is to you… What? Okay, I’ll be there is a moment. I’m sorry I need to go. Airi, please do as you think best for now. We’ll talk further about this after her next appointment with you.”
He ends the call and I pick up my phone. Placing it back in my purse, I look at Airi.
“Give me a moment and I’ll write the prescription.” She gets up and goes to her desk. She picks up a pad, writes something on it and comes back to me. Handing me the prescription, she says, “Make sure she takes these exactly as I’ve prescribed, no skipping doses. These can make her a little sleepy for a day or two, but that should pass quickly.”
“Thank you, Airi. I’ll make sure she takes them every day.”
“Sora, you did a very good thing by bringing her to see me. Don’t forget to set an appointment for yourself when you get back.”
I smile and say, “I will. I know I still have a lot to work out. Airi, thank you for seeing her today.”
