Coffee, Cherry, and Storm

September 7th

The cafeteria was already in its low hours, the darkness of the night could be seen through the windows, giving a peaceful atmosphere that I loved, there were few customers present but most of them were already familiar, they came for that same peaceful atmosphere. Tamamo was in charge of talking to them while Lisa started to clean the unoccupied tables, the mermaid stopped singing to avoid damaging her voice and instead went back to the water to rest. The androids were at the counter rearranging things while my mother filled out some Alliance documents. I on the other hand was at the coffee machine, Saeko was teaching me how to make high-quality coffee to be a barista.

The doorbell rang, indicating the entrance of a new client, it was a young girl, she was wearing a jacket with an animal-eared hat but quite provocative and in her hand she had a stick with her cell phone. Without wasting time she began to talk.

"Hello everybody!"
"Here CherryStyle again!
"Recording for my channel in another exciting investigative episode!"
"Are you ready for more from me?"
"Of course you are!"

The girl turned off her phone for a moment and spoke to herself before going to the counter.

The girl quickly passed her camera around the counter, so at least our products will have a space, that's something.

"Hey you, the bitch with balloon boobs, get out of the shot, or dress like a nun, you're stealing subscribers from me!"

I was taken by surprise to see that the girl was pointing at me even though I was farther in the background.

"Are you talking to me?" I said confused

"Of course , who you think would be if not!?"

I moved from my place just to stop her from talking, I walked to the table next to the mermaid's fish tank, the same one that was always reserved for me and the other girls. As CherryStyle continued her self-centered rant, I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her audacity. With exaggerated flair, the streamer turned her camera back toward the coffee machine and began her coffee-making "masterclass." She fumbled with the equipment, spilling coffee grounds and milk all over the counter. Saeko couldn't help but wince at the mess being made and clean up afterward.

"Oops! Looks like I got a little carried away there," CherryStyle giggled, her smile never faltering.
"But that's the beauty of my content, right? Anything can happen, and you're here to witness it all."
"Now, let's get back to exploring this mystical café" 

She was filming a little bit around the restaurant, until again she noticed the direction in which I was, making a gesture and an angry face she asked me to get out of the way, because her target was now the giant fish tank. Levia, seeing that she was being recorded, swam gracefully in her tank, her iridescent scales shimmering under the soft café lights. CherryStyle, never one to miss an opportunity for drama, pointed her camera toward the mermaid.

"Oh, and look what we have here! A real-life mermaid!" she exclaimed, her voice laced with faux astonishment.
"Aren't you just the cutest thing, darling? Say hello to my audience!"

Levia, used to the attention, gave a little wave with her tail, her face displaying a mix of politeness and amusement. CherryStyle continued to talk to Levia as if she were her pet, all the while ensuring her audience knew just how incredible her "discovery" was. Levia gracefully swam to the glass and waved, her smile genuine despite the intrusive camera. She was used to the attention and handled it far better than I did. I did not understand how the mermaid had so much patience, no doubt she was quite good with children and that taught her to be patient because I on the other hand was at my limit and I was just watching what was happening.

"You know what the most amazing thing about this place is?"
"Almost all the employees are dressed up as monster girls!"
"There's everything from the mermaid you've already seen, an elf girl, and even a slime girl!"

My mother, Adelis, had been observing the entire spectacle with remarkable patience. But even she couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at CherryStyle's antics. Finally, she decided it was time to intervene.

"Excuse me, Mrs. CherryStyle"Adelis began, her tone as polite as ever.
"While we appreciate your interest in our café, we do have a policy against disturbing our guests"
"Perhaps you could continue your exploration outside? After all, the park is just a stone's throw away."

"Excuse me? Are you kicking me out of the place?"
"You can't do this! Don't you know who I am!?"
"One word from me and this site will go down!"
"Do you think 214 thousand subscribers is a small amount?"
"I'm famous! What do you think will happen to this place?"

With a sigh of resignation,and the camera clicked away, CherryStyle headed toward the exit, still holding onto her illusion of grandeur, she glanced back at me, a hint of something in her eyes—was it remorse? Regret? It was hard to tell. As the doorbell chimed, signaling her departure, the café returned to its peaceful, serene state. The darkness outside enveloped us once more, and the tranquility settled back in as if CherryStyle had been nothing more than a brief, disruptive gust of wind in our enchanted oasis.

"Let's hope she finds her UFOs in the park," Saeko muttered to the rest of us.

"I directly hope that the aliens take her away" I added as I looked at the door.
