Chapter 1: New Series Annoucement

Hey everyone!  This is the official announcement of a new Velvet Abyss story that will be following an entirely new direction.   I felt quite terrible about the abrupt nature of how the original novel ended and I've been wanting to re-do the story for the better part of a year now.  

See for those who might not know Velvet Abyss was originally called "Kodomajo:  I died a lonely death but was reincarnated into another world as a powerful Witch who is a total glass cannon"  and it was a parody of isekai stories I was literally just writing whatever came to mind with no forethought for the future.   And I'll be the first to say it,  the story became a confusing, meandering mess.   

The pacing was all over the place and the characterization was lacking to put it nicely.   

So this is a fresh beginning for the series.   The story will start identically to the original but we'll be spending much more time in Shikishima and fleshing out the village,  it's inhabitants and the sisters of the church.   

The series will also be split into parts ala Jojo Bizarre Adventures. 

Chapters will begin releasing in 2023.
