After the last exam, Sheng Heng got out of the mech’s cockpit and started calling Yan Hao without even wiping his sweat off.
“Xiao Hao, I’m done with my exams, where are you? I’ll come to you.”
Seeing this, Cheng Wenkang rolled his eyes silently, threw a clean towel to him then went to the side. It was only when Sheng Heng hung up that he went to him.
“What did our little junior ask you to do, and when are you going?” Cheng Wenkang asked.
“I’ll go after lunch.” Sheng Heng said.
Sure enough, he was really impatient.
“Then the ticket back should be for tomorrow?” Cheng Wenkang asked.
Sheng Heng looked at Cheng Wenkang with a frown.
“You don’t want to go back, do you? Even if you don’t want to go back, our little junior has to go back.” Cheng Wenkang told him.
“Let the tickets be for the day after tomorrow, let’s stay one more day; what if we’re too busy that we can’t finish today?” Sheng Heng hesitated.
“Okay.” Cheng Wenkang didn’t want to unmask his lie. What ‘what if we’re too busy that we can’t finish today’? He just wanted to stay one more day.
The two of them left the exams hall, went to the canteen for a simple lunch, and then went to the lab to look for Yan Hao. Of course, It was only Sheng Heng who went to the lab.
When Sheng Heng arrived, Yan Hao appeared to be programming an intelligent robot using his light brain as a connector. Sheng Heng didn’t bother him and sat next to him for 20 minutes before Yan Hao looked up from the light computer and found him.
“Senior, when did you get here, why didn’t you call me?” Yan Hao walked over to him hurriedly.
“I just arrived, but I was afraid to interrupt your train of thoughts.” Sheng Heng smiled, “You’ve been here all day?”
“Yes.”
“Have you eaten yet?”
Yan Hao blinked then checked the alarm clock he had set. Why hadn’t it gone off?
Seeing him like this, Sheng Heng knew he hadn’t eaten. Although they hadn’t found anything serious the last time they had sent Yan Hao to the hospital for a check-up, Sheng Heng was impressed by the fact that Yan Hao forgot to eat and sleep whenever he was doing experiments.
Sheng Heng looked at Yan Hao with a stern expression.
“I….. I set the alarm clock, but it didn’t go off somehow.” Yan Hao whispered in defense.
“Did it not go off, or did you not hear it?” Sheng Heng asked.
Yan Hao smiled ingratiatingly. He had just checked, the light brain had recorded the alarm clock going off, but it seems he had turned it off manually because he’d thought it was too noisy.
Looking at the guilty and helpless expression on his face, Sheng Heng was really angry, but he didn’t want to go off, so he dialed Cheng Wenkang’s number and asked him to buy lunch.
“……” Receiving the call right after he had just returned to the dormitory and without getting a chance to say a word, Cheng Wenkang had inexplicably taken over the task of buying lunch.
Couldn’t they just order takeaway?!
“Next time, don’t forget to eat.” Sheng Heng was serious.
“En, en, en.” Yan Hao nodded obediently.
Sheng Heng’s expression improved a little, “What is it that you want my help with?”
As soon as his research was mentioned, Yan Hao’s expression changed and he quickly introduced, “I’ve been doing some research recently and I need to collect some data on mech battles.”
“What kind of data do you want?” Sheng Heng asked.
“I want to record all the commands that a mech uses in combat, preferably with the mech doing the moves once and you doing them again, and then compare the data to see what the differences are between the same set of moves on a mech and on a human. Is that possible?” Yan Hao asked first.
“Sure.” Sheng Heng thought for a moment then said, “Then I’ll show you a set of fighting techniques; the fighting techniques displayed by a mech after it enters the battlefield are actually the pilot’s fighting techniques. Every good mech warrior creates a set of operating instructions based on his or her own habitual movements, and will naturally release them when facing the enemy. Although each person’s movement habits are different, a set of fighting techniques will basically contain all the movement commands.”
Yan Hao didn’t know anything about mech piloting so naturally he believed whatever Sheng Heng said.
“But I just finished my practical exams today, so I might not be able to do more intense mech operations. I need to take a day off.” Sheng Heng said.
“There is no hurry, Senior’s hands are more important.” Yan Hao knew that Sheng Heng’s hand had been injured, so he didn’t dare overexert him.
“Then I’ll demonstrate the fighting techniques. How do you want to record it?” Sheng Heng asked.
Yan Hao pointed to the little robot he had just programmed and said, “Senior, you just do the moves, and 00873 will record them automatically.”
