It was nearly dawn when Keith opened his eyes from his meditative state, and his body, which had been hovering in the air for the last four hours, descended on the ground.
Stretching his arms lazily, he looked at the clock and sighed. He did not intend to meditate for so long, but once he focused on sensing the Power of Space coursing within him and around him, he just lost himself to the sensations and his curiosity.
Out of playfulness, he focused on the door of the study, and then he disappeared from his place and appeared outside the room.
Keith frowned when he felt the toll of teleporting such a short distance. It consumed a considerable amount of his Mana, and his body trembled too, but it recovered right away.
It was so easy for him to perform such a feat inside the Chamber that Nyx had built. That place was connected with his Spatial Powers, and he could freely use his Powers there. But here, out in the eyes of Divine Laws, where he mingled with the Law of Space, there was bound to be some resistance. For someone who has not stepped out of the First Desolation, playing with Space should not have been possible.
But even if he could not use his Spatial Powers freely, he could still use them at a price. His life was in no danger because his Blood was in harmony with the power of Space. The last thing he had to worry about was his body ending up with countless pieces due to an unfortunate accident.
He chuckled as he thought about it and then stretched his body again.
Ever since the night he had awakened his Spatial Powers and forced that portal to close, which killed Kylian Dusk, he had spent every day marvelling at the profoundness and mysteries of the Law of Space.
He loved playing around with his Power inside that Chamber, where he could freely use it without facing any resistance, and it helped him learn a lot and enabled him to tap into some more power that he was physically not yet ready to endure but could work on as long as he was inside that Chamber.
Keith brushed away his thoughts before he would question the motives of Nyx, and then walked towards the kitchen to prepare himself an early breakfast.
It was not the time to think about her reasons, and he was famished.
However, as he passed by Iseul's room, he sensed that she was up.
It was the first hour of the day, the time she usually took a nap, so he was curious why she was still up.
Knocking on the door once, he entered the room without needing an answer, and he found the girl in her pyjamas watching something on her computer.
It was a recording of a man who was sitting in a corner of a room and was bawling his lungs out as he scratched his own face, harming himself.
He looked like someone who had lost his mind, and Keith recognised the man at a glance.
It was Lin Houtian, and what Iseul was watching was an abridged recording of Lin Houtian's last three days in this world.
His life has been a true hell at the end, which he spent in sheer agony and madness.
The way he behaved in the video was as if he was hallucinating something, and he loudly begged to be left alone and sought forgiveness too.
Lin Houtian had turned mad enough to pull his own teeth and nails out, and his appearance was utterly miserable at the end of the second day.
And on the third day of losing his mind, he jumped off the Lin Towers, his office, right under the eyes of his staff who were alarmed at his heart-wrenching appearance.
"How did you do it, Master?" Iseul suddenly asked, and she had not called him Senpai, but Master.
"I did not do anything." He truthfully said and patted her head.
"Lady Rebecca?"
"Yes." He nodded.
"Was it Poison?" She raised her head and curiously asked again.
"No." He smiled at her as he looked into her eyes. "She and Qingyue met him the day before he started losing his mind. Do you remember?"
Iseul nodded her head at his words. She had been keeping an eye on everything and knew about it.
"Well, before she left, she used her powers to control his mind and implant Illusions in it. After Houtian woke up from his sleep the next day, he started experiencing those illusions where he met every single person he had ever wronged, re-lived every moment he had harmed someone, kept hearing the wails and cries of the families of people he had killed, and faced his worst fears over and over again. In the end, he started hearing his own voice in his head that asked him to end it all as those people in his illusions wanted him to, and he did just that."
"He did not even seek help."
"Because he had already lost his mind and the capability to think clearly." Keith chuckled. "If you had been curious about it, you could have come and asked me what had happened."
"I wanted to solve the mystery myself. And I quite enjoy watching him drown in madness." She sheepishly said, and then looked at the screen again. "I like her. She's fun." She spoke about his blonde wife.
"Of course, you do." He chuckled as he knew everything that was crazy, cruel, and torturous, allured her.
She had a touch of madness about herself, and it was also something that attracted him to her.

"Want something to eat?" He asked as he started walking out of the room.
"Yes!" She immediately answered and then picked up a tablet before chasing after him into the kitchen.
She did not bother him as he worked on preparing breakfast, and she was focused on her tasks.
It was only after Keith joined her at the table after preparing breakfast that she put away the tablet.
"The Oscars are forcing Melissa's family and her Fiancé's family into crisis, and her Fiancé might break up their engagement in the coming days." She informed him.
"I see." He nodded his head.
He already knew what was going to happen, but a lot of things had changed since his arrival in the city. His mere presence was forcing changes in the Plans of Destiny, but things were majorly working out the same as he had read in those Plans.
Mathew wanted Melissa, and he was using his newly acquired wealth and power to bring her to his feet.
She had left him because he was not Powerful and Wealthy, and so he wanted her to experience his power first-hand and force her to become his slave.
It was funny how fickle people could be. And they would only realise their true face when they are handed Power and Wealth or when they are thrown into utter poverty and misery.
"And your fan is still up." She playfully said. "She's been looking at your Memoir profile and your pictures all night, and is still listening to your music."
Keith chuckled at her words and then took a sip of water.
"Senpai, be honest." Iseul grinned at him. "Did you decide to take her because you wanted to taste what it felt like sleeping with a fan?"
He raised his brow at his question and then playfully smiled.
"Wouldn't sleeping with you be the same?"
"But I am your slave, Senpai. It does not count." She shook her head.
"I see." He shrugged and did not answer her question, which made her pout. "What's Zor doing?" He asked before she could ask her question again.
"Visiting brothels in India." She informed him as she took a mouthful of the sandwich he had prepared for her.
"And Julian and Naomi?"
"They finished the assignment yesterday, and they are currently at the Dragon Corps Base in Rosewich City."
"Don't take another assignment for the next month. Ask them to focus on their training."
"And Zor?"
"Tell him I want him in Mystich City within a day."
"Hai, Senpai!" She grinned and immediately sent the messages to the three other members of their Phoenix Cell.
"Do you want to go out shopping in the afternoon?" He asked, much to the delight of the Korean girl who immediately nodded her head.
"I want some new lingerie!" She playfully said.
"Okay. I will help you choose the one that suits you the most." He shook his head and then left the kitchen. "Wrap up the table and come to the room."
Iseul only took a minute before she wrapped up everything and arrived inside her room.
When she found him lying on her bed, she immediately rushed inside the dressing room and returned after brushing her teeth and washing her face.
Without saying anything, she climbed into the bed and entered his arms, resting her head on his chest.
"Sleep." He ordered her, and she obediently closed her eyes, wearing a sweet smile on her face.
It was only after meeting him three and half years ago at the Training Base that she started sleeping again, and she only ever slept soundly when she was in his arms.
Keith gently stroked her back and inspected the state of her body. She was almost on the brink of stepping into the Spirit Profound Realm, and he started using his Aura to help her purify hers so that she could step into the next Realm sooner.
She was a treasure he had never expected to find, and she was someone he wanted to nurture very carefully. After all, he liked having her around him.
