"Senpai, Maria Valeca has accepted Javier Alvarez's marriage proposal. The Alvarez Family has already started transferring funds to her to take care of her debts."
"I see." Keith nodded. "And Mathew?"
"He came to the cafe and caused trouble. However, Javier decided to call the Police, and he was detained for half an hour and was fined 50,000 Neris."
Keith could not help but chuckle when he heard those words.
Briefing Javier over these things turned out to be a good idea. Though he had not bluntly asked him to avoid a direct clash with Mathew, he had suggested that the Heir of the Oscar Family would want to avoid getting in trouble with the law at all costs right now. Seemed like Javier did use some mind there.
"Make sure Maria does not meet Mathew."
"Yes, Senpai!" Iseul replied and then the call was disconnected.
"Iseul?" Amelia smiled at him when he returned to the table and continued eating Ice-Cream.
"Yes." He nodded and then listened to the summary of their recent business activities. "Rebecca must have complained when you left her in charge of taking care of the business." He guessed.
"She wanted to come too."
"Of course." They both chuckled and then left the cafe to stroll down the street, hand-in-hand, just enjoying their time.
The silence between them was comfortable as ever, but Amelia had a question on her mind that made her more and more curious.
"Keith."
"Yes?"
"It's strange that people are not looking our way or haven't recognised you yet." She curiously asked as she looked around.
Yes, it was indeed strange that they could walk down a street amongst all these people, and no one directly looked at them or recognised Keith, who was one of the most famous people in the country.
"It is because I am using my Mana to influence the minds of people around us to not pay attention towards us." He revealed to her. "As long we don't talk with them or make someone look at us, they won't recognise us."
"That's a convenient Power." She smiled.
"Perks of being an Inheritor of a God." He teasingly winked at her, and it made her pout at him.
It was the side she only ever showed to him, and he loved it.
Keith smiled when she did not say anything in reply.
He knew that she wanted to leave this world now, and wanted to search for more legacies and the rest of the Inheritance of the Runic Monarch. But she also did not want to go without him.
"Just a few more years." He squeezed her hand.
"It's fine." She smiled at him. "After all, the longer we stay here, the better it will be for us."
"Yes." He nodded.
It was something he had told them, but he had also told them something else.
"But we don't have to stay here for a long time." He reminded her.
"Mhm..." Amelia nodded to his words, and happily looked around the lake they stopped by. "It is a beautiful place."
"Yes." He pulled her in his arms and stared at the sunlight reflecting on the surface of the water.
"Rebecca already has plans." She suddenly said something that piqued his curiosity.
"About what?"
"Lower Heaven." She raised her head and looked at his profile, and then their eyes met. "She said the world we will ascend to will be part of the Lower Heaven."
"What else did she tell you?"
"She only talked to me about Lower Heaven." Amelia smiled at him. "There was not much about the world itself that she told me, but she did tell me about the Realms, the Laws, the next Desolation Realm, and the purpose of the Lower Heaven."
"I see." He nodded.
"She said that we could be staying in the Lower Heaven for at least a decade or two, and that would be a decade or two in that world's time."
"Yes. She's right about it." He nodded his head. "However, as we grow stronger, the time we would require to grow further would keep rising. You will find that the Time would never be enough, not until we have shed our Mortality."
"She told me."
Seeing her nod her head, he could not help but sigh.
"Let me guess, she wants to Conquer the world?"
"Yes." Amelia giggled at his words and nodded her head. "She said that those born to rule must rule."
"And she wants you to do the same."
"Yes." She nodded again. "She proposes a competition. The one who holds the most Power before we leave the Lower Heaven wins."
Keith sighed in his heart at those words.
He had already guessed what the future would hold for them, but he was still surprised that Rebecca already had made plans for these things.

And then he thought of something and he chuckled.
"I see... So the storybook is at fault."
Amelia laughed when she heard his words, not surprised that he guessed what influenced Rebecca to make all these plans.
"And that is why you asked for Zoey, eh?" He chuckled as he squeezed her and planted a kiss on her head.
"Yes." She admitted.
"Well, it's too early to make such plans, but it is good for all of you." He told her. "Since she has told you about the second Desolation and the Laws, what a person does, learns, and achieves in Lower Heaven is very important. However, you are different. Even if you don't want to do it, there won't be any issues. You two are Inheritors of a Gods. You were born to rule, sooner or later." He meaningfully said. "The reason why Rebecca wants to pull you into all of this is just that she wants to have fun."
"I know." She smiled. "So do I."
Keith smiled, not pointing out that both of them wanted to engage in such a competition to assert their dominance.
Well, it was all good and also what he sought. Such a rivalry would only make them wiser and stronger and would prepare them for the times that awaited them.
He was not really worried about Amelia, Rebecca, and Qingyue engaging in such competitions, but he was a little apprehensive about the approach of his mother.
Perhaps none of them had yet realised how ruthless she could be if she decided to put them all in their places.
It was unlikely, but he hoped that none of them would challenge her authority.
"What's on your mind?" Amelia gently asked, bringing him out of his thoughts.
"Just thinking about the future." He smiled and planted a kiss on her head, inhaling her scent. "Do you want to go fishing?"
"Yes!" She nodded her head, which made him chuckle.
It was one of the activities she quite enjoyed, and he knew she would always be up for fishing.
"Let's go then."
The two of them walked back to where they had parked their car and then Keith drove with her to a destination he knew about.
They spent the rest of the afternoon fishing by the side of Mystich River, and Amelia was quite pleased that she caught one more fish than him.
When they reached home, Minami was already waiting for them. And after freshening up, the three of them prepared dinner together.
His craftsmanship surprised both of them as he seemed way too skilled at cooking since the last time they had seen him do it. Though curious, they did not raise any questions about it.
The Twins were a little embarrassed when they arrived downstairs and saw that everyone was working in the Kitchen, but then under Minami's lead, they helped set up the table.
"It's delicious!" Reina could not help but exclaim when she tasted the fish Keith had prepared.
"Thank you." He smiled and enjoyed the surprise on her face.
"You made it?" She asked in amazement.
"Yes."
"Teach me!" And then she said something that surprised everyone.
"You want to learn how to cook?"
"Yes." Reina nodded her head, and then excitedly smiled at her sister, who was a little shy to admit that she wanted to learn it as well.
"Fine." He nodded his head, much to their joy, and then the twins happily ate their meal to their fill.
"Senpai, you made dinner today?" Keith was inside his room when he received Iseul's call, and she sounded a little aggrieved.
"Yes." He smiled. "You were monitoring the twins' phones?"
"Yes. They were quite excited and they happily chatted with their mother about the delicious dinner you prepared tonight."
"I see." He booked and then lazily stretched his arms. "How's everything?"
"I am keeping a check on Maria. Mathew tried to approach her in the evening, and I made her fall sick. She's back at her home now, and Mathew is with Stella right now."
Keith sensed some playfulness, and could not help but shake his head.
"She had an accident?"
"Nothing serious. She just tripped down the stairs at the Hospital. A strained ankle and a few bruises."
"Good." He nodded and then ended the call after giving her some more instructions.
When Keith arrived in his room, he found Amelia on a call with Zoey.
"Good night." The emerald-eyed lady ended the call and smiled at him. "She will be joining me for shopping tomorrow."
Keith nodded to her and then entered the dressing room.
He returned to the room several minutes later and found his wife waiting for him with the chessboard set up.
"Let's play." She smiled.
"The winner gets to stay on top tonight." He grinned at her, making her blush, and then the two engaged in a very serious game of chess.
