Oscar Mansion, Mystich City, Oldwyn, Netheria.
In a dark room, a piece of raging music sounded out as a young man's expert fingers fell aggressively on the keys.
Had there been some light, one would have found tear stains under his eyes, and his eyes, which used to have a sparkle full of life, were utterly dull and vacant now.
His name was Mathew Frost, and this morning, he had attended the funeral of his lover, Julia, who was also three weeks pregnant with his child.
In his mind were the times he had spent together with her, and the number of times he had watched her smile.
It was already too late, but now he realised how much he had wronged her, and how he should have been by her side and not left her when she revealed to him that she was pregnant.
He had taken her for granted, and focusing on his Quests, he ignored her, letting her drown in her insecurities.
Julia did not want to go to the US. She wanted to be with him, and she even asked him to not make her go, but he refused to listen to her.
Was it worth it? No.
Mathew felt hollow in his heart. And more than that he felt like a piece of his soul had been ripped away.
Unbeknownst to him, he was not far off the mark.He had indeed lost something very precious under someone's evil devices.
Another tear slipped out of his right eye, and Mathew closed his eyes in remorse and sorrow.
Her face appeared again in his mind, this time, pale and lifeless as she lay in the pool of her blood.
He had not been here to see her in this state. It was Albert who informed him of her death.
Yes, he was not here on her last night in the country, and he was sure that she was yearning for him. She needed him, and she had called him.
His heart ached as he recalled how he had not even picked it up and snoozed it since he was dining with Stella.
The girl who loved him, whose womb bore his child, fell down the stairs in his own home, and he was out there with another girl having a pleasant dinner.
*Bzzzzz*
Mathew opened his eyes when he saw the name of the person on the call, and a wave of rage crashed against his heart.
However, he took a deep breath and picked up the call.
"Yes, Stella?" He bore the urge to shout at her and blame her for what happened, and his body was trembling in his raging emotions.
"Mathew..." She hesitated a little. "My mother is coming to see me tonight..."
"You should meet her." He said and ended the call before he could shout at her. "Fuck!!!" And then he smashed his phone on the wall. "Fuck!"
Covering his face in his hands, he cried, and he cried loudly.
He was cursed, his life was cursed, and nothing could ever go right for him.
How happy he was when the System had awakened, how confident he was to realise the dreams that the System talked about.
But nothing was meant to be.
The girl whom he wanted that she repent for leaving him had happily married her fiance last Sunday.
In the end, despite his efforts to force their families, he lost her. He lost the girl he loved the most and hated the most.
He also lost the girl whom he felt he could fall in love with. And she was going to marry that despicable Heir of the Alvarez Family on the 1st of next month.
He also failed the System Quest of that bitch Zoey Alvarez, whom he wanted to ravage so badly to put her in her place.
He also failed the System Quest about Penelope Jones, a girl he was very confident about seducing, and it was all bloody thanks to his own father, who had raped her and was now facing a life sentence as a consequence.
The Oscars of Mystich were a joke now, too weak to even contain all the negative things that the media conjured up every day.
His own reputation in the circle was nothing but a joke, and all the enemies of his grandfather, as well as the hungry wolves, were reaching for his neck, ready to dismantle what remained of his family.
And that bitch Maria Valeca was nowhere to be found!
Mathew screamed again at another reason why he had neglected Julia.
Maria Valeca disappeared the next day she had a meeting with Javier Alvarez. The little information he had gathered told him that she was no longer in the country.
At first, he thought that the Alvarez had dealt with her, but since the quest was still on, it meant that she was alive.
He had been trying his best to search for her, but all the forces of the Oscar Family had been dismantled by Keith.
As soon as the face of that ridiculously handsome man crossed his mind, he bellowed again in madness.
"Why?!"
Why was he so Inferior to him? Why was he so weak?

All his pent-up emotions broke loose, and he started smashing everything he got his hands on in the room.
"Master!" Albert called out in alarm when he heard the sounds of the destruction that was happening inside the room, but Mathew ignored him.
{Host, please restrain your emotions.}
The System's reminder sounded out in his mind, and instead of calming down, Mathew started shouting back at it.
"It's all because of you! You pathetic creation!" He screamed. "Nothing has gone right for me since the day you came into my life!"
Mathew kept hurling curses at it, but eventually calmed down a little he started feeling dizzy and plopped down on his ass, panting heavily.
{The System reminds the Host that whatever he has gained in the last few weeks is because of the System. Blaming the System for your failure is unwise. The System never asked the Host how he must treat the people around him. It was your choice.}
The words hit right on the mark, and finally, more tears started pouring out of Mathew's eyes.
"You could have warned me!"
{The System is not omniscient.}
It was another cold reply, and Mathew lowered his head, finally trying to clear his head.
{The System reminds the Host that Stella's mental condition has started worsening. You left her hanging right now, and she needs you. Please pay attention.}
"Damn it!"
Mathew immediately got up and walked to the door.
"Master..."
"I am fine. Prepare a car." He stopped Albert from approaching him and ordered before running into his room to freshen up.
He was scared right now, and he did not want to lose Stella too.
An hour later, his car pulled outside the house where Stella lived, and he immediately ran up to the door.
Mathew pressed the bell in a hurry and pressed it again. He was about to press it for the third time when the door opened, and seeing her tear-stained face, his heart slowed down.
"Stella..." He called out to her and then stepped forward, directly dealing her mouth with his and closing the door behind him.
Picking her up, he led her to her bedroom and stopped all her efforts to talk by kissing her aggressively.
Eventually, the blonde stopped trying to talk to him and lost herself in the lust that had been gripping her for the last day.
She hungrily clawed him, scratched him, and moaned as his skin just felt so good and so right against hers.
The moment he entered her, she felt like she was being ripped apart, but with pain came a wave of pleasure, and she greedily replied to his thrusts.
"More... more..." She kept demanding as the heat inside her body kept flaring up, and Mathew, who needed something to unleash his pent-up emotions on, ravaged her as he pleased.
He could feel a soothing feeling all over his body from the moment he entered her, and it made him forget about all his sorrows.
However, she soon panicked when even after three rounds, Stella seemed to have not had enough, and then he had to find other methods to help her cool down before getting reading for another round.
Another hour and a half later, he lay on the bed with a stiff back, holding the nymphomaniac in his arms.
{Congratulations Host for completing the System Quest. Stella Stone has been successfully Conquered. Rewards: None.}
{Since the Host is bearing penalties from failed Quests, he can not receive rewards for this Quest.}
Mathew wanted to curse the System, but he already knew that he would not be receiving anything from this Quest.
And now that he thought about it, if he lost the Quests regarding Maria, Amira, and Reina, he would have to bear more penalties.
"Damn it..."
{Since the Host has successfully completed his first Quest, the System is initiating a Bonus Reward. Bonus Rewards are not subject to penalties.}
"What?"
{Congratulations Host, you have received an Aura Soul Potion, 2 Foundation Building Pills, a random weapon or treasure, and a Mysterious Locket.}
He was shocked when he heard those words, but then he was utterly elated.
{Does the Host want to start the roulette for his random Weapon or Treasure?}
"Yes."
{Initializing Host's request....}
{Congratulations Host, you have received a Profound Grade Fire Dagger made out of Aethryl Steel.}
When Mathew looked at the functions of the Dagger and the Mysterious Locket, he was beyond shocked at what they were capable of. But the first thing he did was take out the Aura Soul Potion and immediately consume it.
Finally, something right had happened to him.
