A series of cries and thuds echoed in the room where two young ladies, shrouded in their Aura Soul Forms, one silvery and the other azure, rushed at their opponent over and over again, only to be repelled by him without much effort.
It was not that they were not trying or were not adept at fighting. They were very good at it, especially the girl with the Silver Fox as her Aura Soul. She was fast, ridiculously fast, and even the spectators were in sheer awe of her speed.
The other girl was slower in comparison, much weaker as well, reflected by her flickering Aura Soul Avatar, which made it clear that she had only recently stepped into the Spirit Profound Realm, but every move she made was calculated and efficient.
And then there was this strange gracefulness in their fighting styles that intrigued people a lot. It was not something they incorporated into their fighting styles or designed those styles with grace as the focus, instead, the gracefulness seemed to ooze out of their bones.
Their gracefulness was not the only thing common between them. They shared the same shade of black hair that was braided and set in a similar fashion, which would easily reach their ankles when unbound, and then there were those haunting Amethyst eyes that could enchant even the Immortals.
As the fighting continued, those who were spectating it could not help but have their hearts start racing with a myriad of emotions.
The two girls seemed relentless, and they were now showcasing battle prowess that a normal Auror was not meant to possess. It was so clear by how they had suddenly started utilising Mana so effortlessly and played with Darkness against the Inheritor of the God of Darkness.
Dozens of Shadow Constructs, creatures made out of Darkness, fought against each other, ripping each other apart and engaging in a never-ending fray as they healed right away as well.
It was no longer any normal spar, and the room they were inside was already seeing some cracks and was constantly shaking. Every time the three of them clashed against each other, minor shockwaves erupted from them, reaching the walls and the spectators, making them all tremble.
Time passed by, minutes turned into hours, and then the sun sank as well.
Yingying, Iseul, Kashish, Amira, and Reina just dumbly stood in their places, drowning and wallowing in their thoughts as they watched Kiara and Minami devilishly smiling as if they were possessed by some battle-hungry souls, duelling their hearts out and enjoying every moment of it.
Any normal Auror would have dropped down of exhaustion by now, including the powerhouses at the Peak of Spirit Profound Realm, but these two did not even seem to be sweating. However, unlike their opponent, whose clothes had not even seen a single crease, their outfits were torn from places and they did bear the marks of a sound beating that they had been receiving for hours now.
The clock inside the room suddenly rang, and everything in the room stilled. Both the girls frowned, displeased at understanding what the ringing of the clock meant, but obediently recalled the Shadow Constructs they had created.
"You lose." Keith declared, reminding them that they had failed to land a single good hit on him in the designated time and Kiara folded her hands on her chest and pouted.
"You are a bully." She complained and only heard her brother chuckle in reply.
"Go, freshen up and start preparing tonight's dinner." He told them, and Minami immediately bowed to him before she walked past the girls and left the room.
Kiara did not forget to throw him a playful glare before she left as well, following her dear friend and now a blood sister, to fulfil their end of the wager.
They had lost, so tonight, they were going to prepare dinner.
"Up for a spar?" He suddenly turned to the girls who were still standing in the room and seemed a little lost.
"Yes, Master." Yingying immediately replied and pulled the sword out of its scabbard.
She wanted to train in Swords, and Keith obliged as he took out a Wicked Sword from his storage ring and blocked her attack, resulting in a loud clang of metals that cleared the minds of the onlookers.
Iseul was the next to react as she rushed forward as well, constructing an Aura Sword as she joined the fray, but Kashish and the twins stayed their ground.
The twins had not even started Cultivating yet. Though Keith had been making them exercise a lot every day, and their physical strength had improved a lot and could put any human to shame, they had still not been allowed by him to Cultivate.
As for Kashish, even though she too had stepped into Spirit Profound Realm and was quite strong, she had never truly trained in combat. Even in the weeks she had been living with Keith, she had spent most of her time learning Medicine from him and the only sparring sessions she attended were with Iseul and Yingying.
She knew that if she joined the fray, she would only prove to be a weight on the two girls who were fighting against Keith with familiarity and coordination that she could not become a part of right now.

Kashish understood why Keith had asked her to watch their training session today. She could feel the urge to learn to fight just like these girls whom she was watching. They looked so relentless and so confident that she yearned to fight alongside them. However, her heart was a little conflicted too now as she knew she usually only got a day to spend with him when he helped her with her Medicinal Studies. If she decided to ask him to help her with combat, her precious time in Medicinal Studies would have to be cut short.
Of course, she could ask one of the girls or all of them to help her with her combat training, but she had found that they already seemed to have their hands full.
A couple of hours later, the fighting in the room subsided, and both Yingying and Iseul took their leave after thanking Keith for his time.
The twins had already left under the excuse that they wanted to help Kiara and Minami with the dinner, when in fact, they wanted to leave because they were tired of watching all the fighting for nearly all of the day. And then they wanted to ask Kiara and Minami about all the Magical things they had watched them do in their fight against Keith.
"You seem lost."
Kashish abruptly raised her head when she heard those words, meeting his gaze. She frowned a little, curious why his eyes had changed again.
It was just like how Minami and Kiara's eyes had changed after their fight. She remembered what he had once told her. These eyes were natural masks that hid his true eyes, and though she did not really understand why or how it happened, she was smart enough to understand that Keith would not answer her question if she raised any about it.
"Kiara's changed." She could not help but say what had been bothering her for some time now.
"Changed?" He smiled at her words and watched her immediately lower her head.
"Her presence weighs on my heart." She whispered. "Her height and hair..." She pointed out the sudden gain in Kiara's height and the lengthening of her hair.
"Well, she's no longer human." He casually replied as he grabbed her hand and led her out of the room, ignoring the baffled look she was giving him. "You would lose your humanity too." He then met her eyes and smiled, and Kashish was lost as soon as she watched his eyes turn to their beautiful Amethyst shade.
He did not say anything again, and despite herself, she did not raise any questions either.
The two of them reached the hallway where they separated and went to their respective rooms.
Keith smiled a little as he watched the daughter of the Mir Family walking away, drowning in her thoughts.
He had sensed her desires. They were so vibrant, and even if she had not raised any questions, he knew what was bothering her and making her restless.
Then again, she had no choice in the matter. He had plans for her, and he was going to act upon them for that was why he decided to keep her by his side.
After a quick and cold shower, Keith changed into his pyjamas and walked downstairs.
He was quite impressed by how well Kiara had performed today. It had been a couple of weeks since he had bestowed her a drop of his blood, the reason why he had brought her here to live with him for a few months.
Minami had been secretly helping her out with the training and getting control over her newfound affinity with Mana. And today, it was the two of them who had challenged him to a spar.
He was rather glad that he had decided to bring Kiara here before giving her his blood. His blonde wife would have lost it if she saw today's fight, and he knew that she would have started pestering him to turn her into his daughter as well. A thought that amused him a lot.
Rebecca had already been holding herself back from raising her questions, and he knew that she had her limits as well.
And then there was Qingyue, the one who would have actually been disheartened.
Then again, he had plans for both of them as well. He was not going to let friction develop between his wives. They were all very special and dear to him, and they were all very important to him for the future that he had in mind.
"Smells delicious." He smiled as he sat down and Minami started serving him the meal.
"Tastes delicious too." Kiara stuck her tongue out at him, and then eagerly waited as he sipped on soup and nodded his head. "Told you!" She was proud of her craft, and everyone at the table could only smile at her enthusiasm.
