Chapter 6: CHAPTER 6: Cursed mansion(1)

Elvin was quite tensed as she walked towards her school. The school Elvin and Gilbert attended was only 10  minutes walk from their home, hence they always went together but today Gilbert wasn't there with her since he got sick.

'I had the same dream today as well'

Everything was normal yet there was always this unsettling feeling she always had. Her mother, father and her brother... they all acted the usual but everything started feeling abnormal to her as time passes.

'I don't know what's wrong with...may be it's one if the side effects of those nightmares..? or there might really be something going on. I should check the mansion which I saw in my dream'

"Yo El~" Elvin's friend Veronica's face came into her view, startling her

"Veronica...you seriously startled me"

"what were thinking so deeply about tho?"

"nothing"

"seriously you're not going to tell me about it ? you look like a zombie. did you even checked the mirror?"

" I know I look bad but don't you think it is a bit too extreme to call me a zombie?"

"nope~ "

Through out the classes, Elvin was completely absent minded. She was fine till the first period but afterwards she started feeling uneasy. The scenes of her nightmare suddenly comes to her mind without any warning. She walked back home mentally exhausted.

'I'm tired...I have to go back home and complete the presentation today itself, I can't delay it anymore'

Elvin stopped walking, she checked her surroundings carefully.

"was I wrong? but I felt like someone was there...hmm.."

'Is someone stalking me..? This whole day I have been getting this feeling of someone staring at me. I should go home fast'

Elvin picked up her pace and reached home

"You're home, El" Irin was wearing a green long dress with simple make up, looking like she came out of a painting.

"yes mom. Are you going somewhere?"

"yes we are, darling" It was her father who replied her question. He was wear a green suit which matched with Irin's dress. "we are going to a party held by Mr. Janson for his son's birthday party"

"oh...Well enjoy" 

Albert tried to explain to make sure Elvin doesn't feel sad, "don't get the wrong idea though. Your brother is sick and doctor said you should take rest as well. We can not miss his party since he helped us a lot and also-" 

"are you okay?" Irin asked Elvin staring at her pale face

"well not feeling that great mom"

"wait you're not feeling good? I told you not to go to school, you didn't even hear-"

"then get proper rest today and you won't be going to school tomorrow" Irin spoke in a commanding tone and went outside the house

Albert and ELvin started at each other 

"are you not coming?" Irin came back and asked Albert

"yeah I am coming ! wait for me! Elvin take a good rest and check on Gil once a while okay?" Albert wore his shoes and followed Irin 

tack! The door was closed  with a loud noise and the house went back to silent.

"ha..." Elvin sighed and walked towards the kitchen to fill her stomach.

Elvin changed her clothes and went to Gilbert's room to check on him. Gilbert was having slight fever and was deep in sleep. She left his room and went downstairs with a small backpack which she prepared earlier.

'It's a good chance to see the mansion in my dreams, that so called cursed mansion. I should check it out now'

By the time Elvin reached the mansion it was already evening. It was surrounded with tall trees and gave off the typical vibe of a haunted house. Elvin took a deep breath and walked towards the mansion...
