“My lady, I brought Becky with me”

Vivi said as she knocked on the door and then came in. Becky was quite restless as someone who had been caught stealing.

Vivi then looked at me with a confused face. I grabbed Becky’s shoulder and pushed her slowly back on the chair.

I stepped back and away from Vivi who was looking at me with such rapture. Despite my reaction, Vivi still praised me by saying that she didn’t know that I was so considerate towards other people.

I felt so awkward and uncomfortable with such compliments, so I waved my hand to try to stop Vivi. But on the other hand, it was also good to hear such words from time to time.

But I still felt embarrassed to be  receiving it during the day.

Contrary to my morning charitable actions, Becky was then suddenly bound by the police. Gale heard about the report and ran immediately to see the culprit.

I was then shocked to see Becky kneeling and crying as I went out to the lobby to check out what was causing all of the ruckus. Before I knew it, all of the servants were talking about Becky. Allen was also standing a distance away, watching the situation.

“What’s going on here?!”

“Sister! You came right on time. This person stole your jewellery and was caught by the police.”

Gale smirked and pointed at Becky. Becky’s words were muffled as she tried to protest being wrongly accused while her mouth was bound. I was completely appalled to see her in that state. She was tied with a rope and was dragged in with a gag in her mouth.
