(Sylvie POV)

My name is Sylvie Delnera .

My life has completely changed everything since my parents died.

My parents were my world until then.

Even now I am unable to stop my tears when I remember .

From the moment my parents died everyone in the mansion treated me like air.

My uncle who used to dote on me didn't even come to console me.

Even his family was not allowed to visit me.

The first time I saw my uncle was after one week of my parent's death.

His eyes, They were scary.

It didn't have a hint of warmth.

It scarred me.

Idont think I can trust anyone anymore.

My papa was a busy with governing the county and mama was helping him.

I had spent a lot of time with uncle and his family.

Uncle always spent a lot of time with me .

But why why does he look scary.

He sat on a chair in front of me and said in a cold voice " Sylvie YOU ARE NO LONGER A DELNERA"

what did he mean I was no longer a desperate.

My parents had told me that my last name meant the house from which I was and that it showed my noble lineage.

"You have gotten his eyes, him who was always better than me"

"If it was upto me you would've vanished from this county and I'd have reunited you with your family"

"But what to do even in death my elder brother has allies".

"Tomorrow you will meet your new parents"

After saying this he left , leaving behind a small broken heart.

A man and a woman.

They were smiling at me with tears in their eyes.

The man spoke up "Hey kid we have come to take you to your new home"
