I'm in a completely white void with a chair and table in front of me. I walk towards it and sit down looking at my now blinking quest. I reread everything that's happened so far, in what appears to be a log. I reread again and again and again and again, making sure I understand everything not wanting to miss a single detail...and boom there it is 'There are only four restrictions, you cannot choose an ability/skill...', it said choose, not create or obtain randomly but there is no way I'm going for a random draw. This is why protagonists are so stupid they never take their time at the start, I mean I get why but still, and more than likely I'm gonna mess up somewhere too. Now on to the next issue,

"System wha-, well actually first can I give you a name?"

"Alrighty, Linda what is the difference between a skill and an ability?"

[An ability is something innate to the user, it cannot be changed, cannot grow in strength, and cannot be disrupted. A skill is something that is gained, it can grow with practice, and it can be modified.]

'hmm...okay then that means no matter how OP I make an ability it cant get stronger but it will always be at the same level of strength no matter what. Then does that mean when i start in a new world or something that all my skills start at level one while my abilities will be the same no matter what? If that's the case then i should make my skills augment my abilities instead of eachone being different, lets ask Linda.'

"Linda, does that mean my skills will start at level one when i go to a new world while my abilities will stay the same?"

[That is correct, an ability is directly innate to the user as said previously, while a skill is not. These three will be an exception since they will be directly scribed into your soul meaning you will always have these skills. They cant be stolen or taken away from the host but will still return to level 1 with every new world you go to.]

"Okay since that's confirmed can I check my rewards first instead of creating or getting my abilities or skills?"

[Increasing returns Lv-0: Every level you gain in this skill folds the reward of anything you receive. Experience, anytype of energy you gain and loot drops are included. This skill applies to all reward type factors and at its base of Lv-0 it only doubles the reward(s).]

Feeling vibrations starting to occur, my eyes look up at the disturbance noticing the biggest roulette wheel I've ever seen. It looks bigger than an entire football stadium in diameter, with tiny little slots no bigger than half an inch wide at most. Each slot has a name on it some one word others multiple like the one I'm looking at. it simply says 'Pencil used by the joker' in the batman.........

'Please, please give me something good I'll even be fine with just a plain-jane iron sword just give me something more reliable than a pencil and all the other dumb things that are on here...actually no I've already gotten lucky enough with just being able to live again, let alone being able to get all this cool stuff that gives me a better chance at living. I will be more than happy with whatever I get, so lets just give it the best we got HAHAHA!'

Telepathic Linking: Wounding or killing something with the sword will allow partial access to the memories and experiences of whatever the sword was connected with. 

Reaper: Like the other swords of power, Durendal can kill almost anything. Some things (such as cithulu ) may be immune to its power, however not immune to the damage it does it’s self.

Creation of Ley Lines: Together the swords of power are capable of creating ley lines and ley gates. For instance, Dr. John Dee created a portal into Coatlicue's Shadowrealm using the four swords together.(Note, they act as pathways for magical energy of any kind to travel through, must be specified when creating.)]

Joyeuse: One of the four legendary swords said to have been created using an amalgamation of alchemy and holy magic.

Immunity: While the user is holding the sword you gain immunity to poison, and high resistance to curses and status debuffs.

I’m sitting there in the chair simply being utterly grateful for the chance I’ve been given. I also remember the meaning behind the swords, joy and endurance or if you want a layman description, happiness and perseverance.

 “Quite the coincidence isn’t it…thank you everyone, I promise to never give up.”

It hurts so bad, I know that it won’t go away for a very long time, it might never go away actually. Maybe it’ll hurt less the more happiness I find going forward, maybe I will find away to bring them back and then I won’t have to feel this pain anymore…I think I’m going to try that, but I know they’ll get mad if that’s the only thing I try to do so I’m just gonna focus on getting stronger then I’ll find away to bring them back. I’ll make sure to have fun along they way though just as I promised. 

“Linda, can I create all my skills and abilities at the exact same time?”

‘Hmm, then I’ll probably just do two skills and two abilities saving 1 each for when I might find a situation I can’t get out of. Now comes the hard part, I can’t say it in words as the system might interfere, so I’ll only picture what I want, let’s hope this works!’

[Unlimited Growth: Any thing that impedes growth will be nulled, you no longer have a level cap, you stats will continuously grow, you have gained the ability to hold unlimited energy(like I said before this means any energy whether, mana, qi, chakra or something else) All level limits per world can be nulled for the user. All experience gained for skills and level x20]

[Second ability established]

[Checkpoint: Set a ‘Checkpoint’ in time to return to. All alterations in the timeline will be deleted so no outside source will discover your interference. Cool down 24 hours per check point. Maximum of 5 checkpoints can be created per world, you can delete a check point and create a new one in its place.]

[First skill being established]

[Absolute replication Lv-0: You can copy a skill through a status window or by witnessing it happen. Each skill copied will start at level one at base start. Each level increase will allow for a higher copied form of the skill. You maybe level the skills through your own effort as it is a perfect replication.]

[Second skill being established]

[Mental Master Lv-0: You have edict memory, remember and recall every single thing ever experienced, vividness and clarity improve with level. Your will never be overwhelmed by a charm, gaining mental attack resistance, base percentage is 25%. You will always be able to make clear decisions with your emotions never going out of control. Your mind will grow continuously so you will be able to increase your brains capacity to store knowledge.]

Alchemy Lv-0 : Change materials from one type to another (e.g lead into gold).

Voice augmentation Lv-0: Adjusts your voice to any required pitch, tone and volume.

Rapid recovery Lv-0 : Increase the rate in which your body recovers, base increase is by two, each level adds a fold.]
