Chapter 3: [3] The Trial

5 Day before the trial started. I trained for the whole day by hunting and doing work out without feeling tired a single bit. It could be that Physical Strength increase my stamina by alot.

My level has risen by 5 at the day of the final training before the trail. And i also obtained a new skill.

[Hardened Scales E [Upgradeable] Raise your scales toughness. Last for 10m ]

Maybe i can use both my Strengthen and Hardened Scales someday.

Finally the day of the trial begin. A bunch of other lizardman gather around the elder and me. I was getting a bad feeling about this. The trial appeared to take place in a dungeon.

Lijka rise up and shouted "It time for our youngest member to face the trial!"

The crowd of lizardman cheer with a bunch of woo sound effect as i approach the dungeon. I touch the dungeon entrance.

I sigh and say yes. A bright light appear in my eye as i can feel the space changing. I open my eye to find a different place with long hallway with moss and life. 

I began to explore deeper inside the dungeon to find my first enemy. A hellhound!

The hellbound spotted me while i was reading the info and pounce on me. I quickly raised my shield and block it attack. And i counter attack it with my spear.

The spear slice through it flesh as it scream in pain and jump to me again just for me to strike my spear toward it vulnerable  neck and finally kill it.

I venture deeper slaying hellhound in the way. Till i came across a new enemy while i was hiding behind a wall

A undead mage. This is dangerous. the distance between me and the enemy is too far. I can't tank the fireball for too long. It even have a curse which make me weaker.

I tried sneaking behind the mage but i failed because my scales keep making noise everytime i walk a step. The mage summon 3 undead near him.

It gonna be a hassle to deal with them. Everytime i tried to struck at the mage. One of the undead block my attack. The mage also cast a curse on me causing me to be slower.

[Use both of your new skill!]

Ah right i forgot about the skill i got. It time for them to be debut. 

[Strengthen] [Hardened Scales]

Moment after i said that. I feel a bunch of power surge in me. My body got bigger. Feeling this surge of power i strike at the undead killing them in 1 Spear strike. 

The undead mage tried to summon more undead but i didn't let it do it stuff and strike the mage in the core. The undead mage disappear after it core was destroyed.

Gosh the undead mage was already hard enough. I wonder what the boss rank gonna be ?

Great. I got a ranged skill. This will be useful against the mage from far away. I tested the skill by shooting it to a wall. Apparently i just need to say the skill name. And mana will pick it up and form a fireball in my casting hand. I shot the fireball to the wall dealing some crack and burn mark to the wall. The size of fireball is like a snowball. So it strength is lower but still destructive.

I Travel through the infinite hallway until it stop at a suspicious room. It seem to be a boss room. I opened the door slowly until a burst of mana rush against my scales. I was almost pushed to the ground with this much pressure. My father pressure is way more stronger than this one.

Inside was a sleeping dragon looking monster. I check the stats of the monster

This stats is way too insane! The elder has to be a psychopath to make the youngest member to fight a monster that is roughly 5x their size. They have to be devil in disguise seriously. Is this what my father has to go throught aswell? 

I sighed and contemplate my plan how to defeat that absolute monster. 

After a few minutes contemplating i finally decided to wake it up and try to defeat with my plan that is 100% gonna failed. 

[Try striking it horn and eye. It the weak point of the earth dragon ]

I throw a rock at the sleeping earth dragon. It eye began to open as the earth start shaking around the monster. It roar so damn loud making my ear drum gonna burst!

The earth dragon control the earth beneath me and i dodge it by jumping before it grab onto me. Thankfully im faster than it by inch. I run toward to the monster with it trying to stomp me with his big foot. 

Following system advice. My plan that is i gonna climb it tall body to try striking it eye or it horn since the horn it the main power. 

I jump and dodge it upcoming earth spike. I strike my spear to it hard scales to launch myself up to his head.

The earth dragon see me and tried to swipe me away but it missed by a inch.

I managed to strike it eye where it roar in pain and create shockwave as it move. I was able to cling on his tall body with my tail. 

The earth dragon stop moving and focus on using his skill toward my direction. I block the earth spike with my stone shield before it break when i block the 5th spike. 

My shield is useless against the spike. Time is important so i jump again with my legs and use my strengthen ability again to try striking it on the horn. 

The spear strike was noticeable now with my strengthen skill. As i keep striking it with my skill. The earth dragon shook violently almost making me fall to the ground. I was able to cling on his smaller horn. And keep striking it until it break and fall to the ground. 

The earth dragon roar even violently upon losing it horn and began ramming into the nearby wall just to shook me off. The impact was so hard it actually make me fall to the ground. I use my hardened scales to lower the damage. 

[Hurry the earth dragon gonna stomp on you! It will lose it strength overtime with it horn gone. Just last for some minutes]

The earth dragon tried to stomp on me again. So i narrowly dodge it stomp and run as fast as my legs can dodging all the earth spike in the process. Finally the earth dragon was unable to cast more earth spike due to it horn gone.  It strength was getting weaker aswell as it can barely even move. So i stand up and kill it in the heart narrowly avoiding death. 

I lay on the ground super exhausted but relaxed that it finally over.. Or is it really ?
