9 Months later

While I was relaxing in my room like I usually do when I have a moment to relax, I started thinking about how it's been quite a while since I’ve gone over what I’ve accomplished and man have I made a ton of progress lately these last nine months.

Let me start off with my perception training involving the pitching machines I rigged up with turret targeting modules. So I initially had trouble getting the hang of it since it's not exactly easy tracking baseballs coming at you from multiple directions but I eventually did get the hang of it after getting hit in the face more times than I would like to admit. When I finally managed to, I was able to break through to 11 perception with relative ease after getting past that point and end up getting a very useful perk.

| All Seeing | Requirements 11 Perception: You've surpassed human limitations for perception, thus you've acquired the ability of a 360-degree field of awareness up to 11 meters. The range and strength will increase by 1 meter per point of perception.

It has even helped with increasing my agility somewhat and is now a regular part of my training regime though I have to blindfold myself to make optimal progress now.

Moving onto the second major gain I’ve had would have to be the progress I’ve made with my workshop/research facility. It had taken me about a month to get things up and running with the different pieces of equipment that needed to be built/moved over from other areas of the vault.

But once a majority of that had been done I was off to the races developing, researching, and manufacturing everything from replicating the mole rat repellent from the wasteland survival guide to doing research on buffout to get rid of its negative side effects as well as to see if it’s any better than the anabolics from my previous world.

I had even built a few fully automated ammunition plants that can make anything from microfusion cells to 20mm while using junk in a good percentage of the manufacturing process.

I’ve also made some relatively good progress in my relationship with Amata and have been teaching her about all kinds of different subjects and ingraining as much knowledge into her as I reasonably can since it will benefit her as well as myself in the long run. She also seems to quite enjoy spending her time with me learning and training if her smiling all the time is anything to go by so that’s a plus, it would’ve sucked if she wasn’t receptive and showed no interest.

On top of that, I had also decided to go ahead with my idea that I had on my tenth birthday to start training what would’ve ended up being the tunnel snakes and I’m glad that I did since they’ve been making substantial progress in their training these last few months with the vault security officers. So that will be a potential asset I’ll have in my back pocket that I can use in the future if I need some extra manpower.

The next thing on my list of ever-increasing accomplishments is that I’ve made some significant gains in all my strength parameters and my strength stat now sits at a solid eight. As a direct effect of those gains I can now wield my AER 18 LMG with relative ease and I would say I’ve become quite accurate with it after putting in a lot of time at the shooting range while also killing several hundred mole rats but as a side effect of all that killing, they’ve now retreated so far back into the mines that it isn’t worth my time going into them any longer, unfortunately.

Though I did also learn how to delay my level-ups on my second trip back into the vault mines so I still made a significant gain in the way of that important piece of information.

Though that’s just a few of the things I’ve gotten done these last nine months and I would say I’m progressing quite nicely but I will keep increasing my stats through training till it's time to leave the vault so I can get the maximum amount of benefits. Then when it’s time I will spend my accumulated level-ups on whatever I think is needed at that time of my departure out into the wastes.

I take a brief look at the time and notice I have a bit more left before Amata gets here so I might as well go over my near future plans as well.

Let me begin with drug synthesis, I believe this will be quite helpful to me in the long run if I can get a fully automated drug synthesis machine built early on since I’ll be able to start accumulating all sorts of chems from anabolics to super stimpaks and everything in between plus I can sell the excess chems off for a profit when I leave the vault if I need some starting funds.

Secondly, I will need to create some sort of radio or communication device that can either penetrate the ground and reach the vault with the waves it will produce or I can put some sort of receiver on the outside of the vault so I can stay in communication with them. It will also need to be encrypted so no one will be able to listen in on what we’re discussing but I will try to keep it to nonsensitive information just in case so I don’t end up meeting some sort of surprise or ambush. This will also be a major factor in convincing the overseer into letting me leave the vault to venture into the wastes so it is of vital importance that I get this done immediately.

I think the next thing I should focus on should be making some robots that could help me with getting myself set up at the RobCo Facility so I can start building a robot workforce and army almost immediately when I arrive there in five years time. I will also need to produce a decent amount of extra parts that could potentially be needed for bringing the manufacturing machinery there back online though that may be unnecessary in the end depending on the state of the equipment there.

Another thing that will require a bit of my attention is I will need to bring a large stockpile of food with me since I don’t particularly want to eat the radioactive garbage that’s consumed by most wastelanders.

I will also need to bring a variety of seeds and the equipment to grow my own food, though it shouldn’t take all that long to get everything set up realistically since the plants we have in the vault are modified to the point that they will start to produce an abundant amount of food within the month so food shouldn’t really be an issue after I get set up at the RobCo Facility and I can probably make some decent caps off of the local populace or by making a trade deal with Tenpenny Tower on the side as well.

I also want to produce more of my automated manufacturing machines and some nuclear power plants for the RobCo Facility but in a more modular configuration so they will be easier to move and set up. Though they will still be quite large as well as heavy so I will also need to design some kind of transportation to get them there which shouldn’t be all that difficult since I already have a few ideas that could work while being relatively easy to produce and assemble.

Though when I do get there it probably wouldn’t be such a bad idea to expand underground and link up with the metros at some point so in the event that I need more space I will have the space available for rapid expansion. Secondly, it would make material acquisition/mining a hell of a lot easier since being in control of the rails would allow me the ability to move large amounts of material through the metro tunnels once I have some kind of train or transport that can move said materials in large quantities.

But I don’t think it would take all that long to get something like that built, I think a good portion of the time would be spent on eliminating hostiles, clearing obstacles, and fixing the broken segments of rail in the tunnels. Lastly, having control over the metro system would allow my larger movements to be hidden underground since my future robot army would attract a ton of attention if they were to travel on the surface and I would like to stay as low-key as possible with my movements since you never know who's watching.

As for my physical training, I think I will focus on my strength till I get it to 11 then I will swap my focus over to agility till that reaches 11 as well then I will focus again back on strength since it seems to accelerate the development of my body and I would like to reach full body maturity by the age of 15 or 15.5. That way I will have some time left to run a cycle perhaps and make some serious strength, endurance, and agility gains in the gym. If not, it will have to wait until I’m set up at the RobCo Facility.

Moving on from my training I would like to make some new gear in preparation for when my strength levels reach 11 and I can properly use heavy weapons such as anti-material rifles, gatling lasers, miniguns, and tesla cannons without fatiguing myself. I think a .308 minigun would be a good idea since the default 5mm never did a whole lot of damage although it did have decent penetration. But if it’s too heavy then I will have to make it in 5.56x45mm which is still a pretty decent round it just doesn’t have the punch that .308 has.

Though I will probably stick with .308 in the end since it can better deal with enemies such as Deathclaws, Giant Radscorpions, higher tier Super Mutants, Outcasts and enclave potentially but I may need to use armor piercing rounds to penetrate their power armor and even that may not work necessarily. So I may want to build an anti-material rifle as well in case I encounter something that can shrug off .308.

After that, I’ll then make a new suit of armor to accommodate my future height since I’ve gained a few inches in the last nine months and I should be able to reach my max height by the time I’m ready to set out into the wastes in five years. I’ll also need to make some upgrades from my last armor such as replacing the existing steel plates with larger and thicker steel alloy plates for a significant portion of the suit. I think I also want to add some spiked pauldrons for extra protection around the head, neck, and shoulders while also doubling as a weapon I can use in certain situations if the need arises.

While the back of the neck will be getting an upgrade in the way of a couple of pieces of steel alloy that will follow around the neck similar to Jorge-052’s upper left armor from halo reach to provide as much additional armor for my head and neck because all it will take is one round with enough penetration to my head and I’m done for. As for the more technical upgrades I plan on having the gauntlets electrified so I can use them like a stun gun if I don’t want to kill someone and want them immobilized for a bit but the amperage can be cranked up to lethal levels.

Finally, I’m going to throw out the old altyn helmet and make a new helmet of my own design that fully encapsulates the head for full protection while also designing it to look similar to a human skull with demonic elements for the added intimidation factor.

Secondly, I think this time around I’ll put turret targeting modules into the visor to alert me to targets I may not have noticed as well as implement a rangefinder function to help me with my long-distance shots. Lastly, I'll be adding a voice modulation module as well as an air/gas filter so I don’t have to take off my helmet when I want to talk to others since it could potentially put me in a vulnerable position along with giving me the ability to travel through areas with contaminated air.

While I was finishing up going over the progress I've made recently as well as my plans for the future I detected Amata once again through the walls walking down the vault hallway towards my front door to attempt to wake me up or climb into my bed but most likely the latter. “Well, I guess it’s about time I got up, though I would’ve liked a few more minutes to relax.”
