About a minute later I bypassed the terminal’s security gaining access to the mainframe and whatever it had control of. Well, that wasn’t all that difficult, let's see what I’m working with here.
I then spent the next several minutes going over what the mainframe had access/control over and I found out that it basically ran the whole facility from the protectrons spread out all over the facility to the turrets on the other side of the door I just came in from. Oh, there are even a couple of sentry bots too nice, I will definitely put those to good use though I’ll need to give them a bit of an upgrade first since they seem to be stock models from what I’m reading on the terminal.
Hmm, the manufacturing machines seem to be in a much better state than I thought they would be since they actually have maintenance bots here that are still operational though from what I’m reading here on the terminal screen the manufacturing machines are still in need of some repairs.
But I don’t think it will take me all that long to get them up and running since I already fabricated a bunch of parts years ago for this exact situation and anything else can just be fabricated by the automated manufacturing machines that I brought along with me from the vault though they will require a few hours to get them assembled.
Another nice thing I found while I was browsing the mainframe was that the mainframe even has a log for the current amount of resources as well and there seems to be a ton of stuff left especially in the basement so I should be good on resources for the moment if the resource log is correct in the amounts listed. Though I will still head back out towards vault 101 to gather the rest of my things once I have a decent amount of defenses built.
Well, I think that’s enough for now, time to set myself as the owner/administrator and get this place fixed up to become my new home for the foreseeable future. I thought lastly before setting myself as the new owner/administrator and clearing all the other people off the system.
A couple of minutes later I had everything done and I had also gone over a few other things in the system such as the number of robots and turrets that amounted to about 30 assaultrons, 8 mister handys maintenance models, 459 protectrons, 10 sentry bots half of which were the gatling laser variants and the other half were the minigun variants spread throughout the whole facility.
As for the number of turrets they only amounted to 20 laser turrets spread out to areas that needed to be a bit more secure than others, so that will definitely be one of the first things that will need to be massively upgraded in the future to make this place more secure.
Ohh and now that I think about it, I should also issue a new order to have all the robots gather towards the loading area of the facility so I can use mechu-deru on them all in one place.
After issuing that order I got up from the 200-plus-year-old chair, used mechu-deru on the mainframe, and headed out of the room passing by the four laser turrets that I sneaked by originally before I then headed in the direction of the stairwell. Once I was in front of the door for the stairwell I opened it and walked down to the ground floor where I then followed the group of protectrons that were originally roaming around the warehouse area but were now heading towards the loading area due to the new order I issued.
Several minutes of following the group of protectrons at a decently fast pace later I arrived at the loading area and man was the size and scale of it just absolutely massive, it could probably accommodate over several thousand sentry bots along with a dozen liberty primes sprinkled throughout honestly.
I then waited about 30 minutes for the rest of the robots to stream into the loading area while also listening to the large number of different noises they made as they walked, rolled, and hovered in. Once they had all arrived and gathered in the loading area of the facility I used mechu-deru to gain absolute control over them and for every new robot I took control of my ability and my speed to make calculations increased slightly.
Moments later as I was nearly finished taking over all the robots a thought occurred to me. Hmm, I wonder what would happen if I was to use mechu-deru on a robobrain, hopefully, it will increase my intelligence and give me some other bonuses but it may unfortunately just end up being the same as taking over a normal robot. Will definitely have to head up north to retrieve some robobrains from the vault underneath Smith Casey’s Garage and while I’m there I can see about maybe making a deal with Doctor Stanislaus Braun even though he’s a bit of a nutcase.
Moving on from that thought, let me finish up getting full control of these robots.
“Phew I’m finally done, time to head out front and get my bots inside.” I thought aloud before sending a signal to the many security robots here to head out and take positions at every entry point. Which in this case was just the front entrance and the loading bay area so a majority ended up just taking defensive positions around the area while a few assaultrons along with two sentry bots headed towards the front entrance.
I then had a mister handy open the largest set of doors in the loading area before I then turned around and followed after the assaultrons and sentry bots towards the front entrance. When I reached the front entrance I put away my Guillotine and re-equipped my Mulcher gatling gun along with its magazine again since you can never be too prepared out here in the wasteland.
Once I had it equipped I headed outside and issued a command to all of my bots outside to follow me around back into the loading area. As we were heading around the building I scanned the area occasionally for any potential danger as we moved and thankfully I didn't spot anything so we had an uneventful trip around the facility.
When we got to the back of the building I had all my robots that were currently following go on through and as soon as everyone one of my bots as well as myself were through the massive opening I had the same mister handy from before close the door we just entered through which then produced a loud sound as the massive blast doors closed on activation.

Well, that’s not good, the siren and light are busted so I’m going to need to get that fixed soon since a person or robot could easily get crushed when the doors are closing, another thing I’ll be putting on my ever-expanding to-do list. Moving on from that let me tell my bots to start unloading so we can get this place up and running as fast as possible.
“Alright, guys start getting everything unloaded while I go inspect the manufacturing area of the facility along with the basement to see where we’re gonna set up my automated manufacturing machines.” I said to my bots before I put away Mulcher along with its magazine and headed towards where the manufacturing area of the facility was located.
A short time later I entered the manufacturing portion of the facility.
*Whistle*
“Quite the large space we have here it shouldn’t have any issue accommodating double the amount of manufacturing machines from what I can see, though let me check out the condition of the equipment.” I said aloud before I started inspecting one machine after another.
Several minutes later after I physically inspected each machine I determined that it shouldn’t take longer than a week to get everything up and running properly including getting the sentry bots up to spec since all I really have to do is add some extra armor, weaponry and replace their current power systems.
Hmm, I should also go take a look at the power plants here to see if anything needs to be done immediately but before that let me first send a command to the bots to move and assemble my automated manufacturing machines here so we can get the ball rolling here.
As soon as I sent the new command over with mechu-deru I headed down immediately to the basement via elevator where the power plants were located to see what sort of power plants are at this facility.
Sometime later I arrived in front of a blast door labeled as Power Plant in the underground level and entered inside while also passing the four laser turrets guarding the door. Once I was inside I walked over to a terminal that was located relatively close to what appeared to be a cluster of nuclear reactors though it is sealed off from the reactors.
I then took a seat in the chair located in front of the terminal and started to type away on its keyboard to see exactly what type of power plants were installed in this facility and what state they were in.
A couple of minutes went by before I discovered that the cluster of power plants are fusion reactors and that they are in pretty decent condition too so I won’t have to worry about this place going up underneath me anytime soon. It also wouldn’t be all that difficult to change all of the reactors over to fusion breeder reactors as well though it will probably take about a month given my current workforce and that time can be reduced further if I start producing more worker bots which is probably what I’ll do.
Another benefit of changing them over to fusion breeder reactors would be not needing to refuel ever again so that’s a pretty big reason to change them over but it doesn’t really need to be done right away since from what I’m reading on the terminal the fuel levels should be good for another couple dozen years if not a little bit more.
I then double-checked a couple of other important things on the terminal before I finally got up and headed back up above to the loading area to see how things were coming along. When I got back to the loading area I saw the bots had about 30% of my stuff unloaded so far which was quite a bit faster than how long it took for us to get everything loaded back at vault 101 but that’s what happens when your workforce increases by many times.
A few seconds of observation later.
There's a lot that needs to get done right now so I better get to work and help them unload and assemble my automated manufacturing machines. I thought lastly before heading over to do just that.
