Gul’Tar’s armored feet hit the strange black stone floor heavily with each footstep as he looked around his new home, he was still in awe at the sheer size of the metal and glass towers that surrounded him, they were so big even a titan couldn’t touch their tops he couldn’t even begin to imagine what kind of creature could have build them, perhaps a god could have build one or two of the things with its power but certainly not so many.
Using his wide shield he bashed one of his clan aside and climbed on top of a hollow metal square with wheels, probably some kind of small carriage and looked around, his kind filled the paths between the towers with their huge numbers, his entire clan having came through the opening and quickly conquering two nodes, his eyes couldn’t help but glance at the huge ball of fire in the sky, still fearful of it falling down on his head, at least he had not been the only one to scream and dive for cover when seeing the ridiculous thing for the first time.
In one of the side paths he saw half a dozen horde members taking their turns with a few of the betrayer’s females, raping them and filling them with seed but he had no interest in such acts, snorting in disdain he walked away.
His heavy black scaled armor glinted at the light as he took some distance from the horde in search of something interesting to do, the old world’s marvels were certainly interesting but he didn’t have Gul’Tanarin’s curious mind or Gul’Aman’s simple one to be distracted so long by new marvels, good battle was his life’s love and he still hadn’t found one today.
A small metallic glint from inside one of the square towers caught his attention and his advanced <sense danger> allowed him to lift his shield in time, the impact was incredibly heavy but his shield was strong, his <shield mastery> was high and he had managed to get it in the right position to not just block but actually deflect the arrow so there was no damage.
Hiding his head and vital organs behind his shield he dodged between his metal carriages but three other blindingly fast arrows managed to hit him, one of which hit his metal greaves and made him stumble.
Hiding behind cover he tried to search for the arrow shaft but didn’t find one, just a small hole in his greaves, taking it off he saw blood leaking from a small wound on his leg, using two of his claws he gritted his fangs and pulled out a very small metal piece from inside, he brought it close to his eyes, Brogath’s balls how did such small thing manage to hurt him?
Throwing it away he put his greaves back and hang his axe on his waist, now that there was nothing blocking it his <Demonic body> would quickly heal the wound, time to stop playing around.
<Enhancing> his arms he put them bellow the metal carriage and flipped it over on its side so he could get up without having to break cover, another four loud noises sounded as his foe him again, he made a note of how fast this strange new weapon could be reloaded, with a grunt he lifted the carriage over his shoulders and hurled it towards the glint he had seen earlier.
Before his big metal projectile hit he grabbed his axe with his right hand and applied <sharpening> to its edge, pulling his arm back he strained his muscles as much as he could charging <Chaos axe> with nearly 150 mana, a quarter of his total, black and red lightning covered his weapon.
The carriage hit the side of the tower with a huge noise of twisting metal, glass flew everywhere and, before his enemy recovered, he swung the skill charged axe horizontally, a dark rift opened in the air with scarlet lightning at its edges and flew at an astonishing speed towards the tower expanding on its path.
Like a huge maw it struck the side of the tower and took out a huge chunk of it nearly ten meters wide and thirty five meters long, the space around the area was still distorted with chaotic power but what caught his attention were the white lightning around the edges of the damaged area seeming to come from the building itself.
As he didn’t get any experience he knew his enemy was still alive so he ran <enhancing> both his legs he ran and jumped nearly ten bodies up getting inside the tower, looking around he found no signs of his foe, sniffing the air he felt no scent of blood, a small noise drew his attention towards the inside of the tower, walking ahead through a narrow path he paid as much attention as he could to the sounds, a voice was speaking as quiet as it could from further ahead, its language was not as melodious as those trice curse elves but far less grave than horde members or demons.
His <danger sense> screamed at his head and he froze instantly, looking around he found a thin, nearly invisible line at ankle level, a trap, smiling he stepped over it and moved on, he knew he should stalk his enemy and kill it quietly but that was just not his style so he opened his mouth and called “Good job, this little fight of ours is truly exciting” the voice got frantic so he picked up the pace.
A hand appeared over the door and threw a small round object towards him, Gul’Tar knew better than to underestimate such things, who knows what kind of unholy magic the betrayers had created over the years they had been left alone, activating his <stone skin> he lifted his shield and jumped back, the object exploded in a wave of fire and noise just ahead of his shield throwing him nearly five bodies back and pelting his shield and armor with something hard, both the armor and <stone skin> prevented new wounds but the metal projectiles were still painful.
His shield had been greatly damaged, cracking in the middle and with several round metal balls pierced into it, the explosion had been so powerful it had bent the shield and his hand armor so much they would be useless, using his other hand he pried the shield out of his arm and let it fall to the ground before running towards his enemy taking care not to step in any trap.

Entering the room with haste he jumped over some fallen wood and continued on towards the back following the noise, finally he caught up with his foe, one of the betrayers dressed in grey clothes and holding a back piece of metal the size of a dagger on his hand, the male said something but he couldn’t understand instead he inspected him
[Joshua Smith – human – level 3 – age 31 – focus <END> ]
What? What in the three hells? His satisfying battle had been with a devil’s damned child? Sighing he started to walk towards the kid, his <sense danger> screamed at him but it was already too late, his feet stepped into the wet floor and an enormous amount of lightning ran through his body completely ignoring his <stone skin> to hurt his internal organs, fortunately his <demonic body> was highly resistant to such attacks leaving him hurting but in no way seriously hurt.
Shaking his head to clear it he enjoyed the sensation of power running through him and looked at the child “Good try” a movement of his hand warned him in time to lift his axe and block another four shoots of those strange small metal projectiles, another two hit his leg and he actually caught one last shot with his bare hand, it hurt a lot, in no way was he faster than those damn projectiles but he could predict their path from where the black metal object’s end was pointing.
Looking at the child’s eyes he saw only death and despair inside, the male had no more tricks to play, still he didn’t try to escape, his eyes wondered around the room noticing a few clothes of different sizes thrown to the side and a small fake white creature fallen on the floor, the child was protecting others, perhaps an even youngling spawn, the fake stuffed creature was probably a toy to teach it how to hunt.
He could understand wanting to protect family, it was an honorable goal even for a child “You truly gave me a good fight kid” putting his axe at his waist he decided to give one last honor to the foe and attacked empty handed, the child fought back well but the difference in <STR> was just too great he killed him with a punch to the chest, kneeling besides the body he put his hands over the head of the fallen and whispered
“Although you were a child and of the betrayer’s race you fought well and for a good reason, I shall honor you tonight” holding the head between his hands he twisted it and, with a show of strength, pulled it free from the rest of the body.
…
“You’re looking happy” Gul’Tar turned his head to the side and caught the image of his brother Gul’Tanarin dragging a sack through the dirt “Yes I had a good fight today” lifting the skull to his lips he drank it whole before filling it back with fire water, his brother took of his hood and smiled “It must have been a very good one for you to actually honor one of the betrayers with a drink” “Brother said it was fun!” bellowed their huge younger sibling still entranced by the two silver balls shinning in the sky, one of them was the usual Lanua of their hell dimension and the other, smaller one, something they hadn’t seen for countless generations.
Throwing his sack aside Gul’Tanarin sat down with them around the fire and asked “I am surprised you are not enjoying the captured females like the rest of them” “Bah, what honor is there in spewing seed for those weak fragile things, it is disgusting, any spawn that came from their belies would only lessen the horde, only true warriors would be worthy enough to rape” “and yet you honor one of those weak things tonight” “An exception not the rule” Lifting his cane Gul’Tanarin detached the huge horned skull on top of it and turned it over, filling the skull with his own fire water he took a satisfying drink.
“Are you sure you want to do this brother?” turning towards the stupid giant looking at the sky Gul’Tar sighed “He is family, soon he will reach heroic level, you know what happens then” “But… there is a reason they’re called the betrayers” “what choice do we have? Do it” while his brother got up and walked towards the sack he had brought Gul’Tar took his last gulp from the human skull then smiled at it and threw it on the fire.
Cutting the sack open Gul’Tanarin pulled a human female out of it and waved his hand over her face causing a blue light to lift from her mouth, the female tried to scream but his brother put a hand over her mouth, walking closer he looked at her eyes and shook his head, the universal sign for no, thankfully it seemed to translate well into human language as she stopped trying to scream water leaking from her eyes “Is something wrong with her?” his brother tasted some of the water and waved his question away “Probably not It’s just salt water”
“Are you sure she is a warrior?” “Well she managed to kill one of the horde with a strange weapon and didn’t cower when facing me so… it’s the best I could get, now let me concentrate this isn’t easy you know” “it will have to do” he knelt at the side of the female and waited while his brother chanted in the most ancient language he knew, green light started to gather over both of his hands, the female seemed terrified but she didn’t cry out refusing to give in to the fear, good.
Putting one hand on the human’s forehead and another on his own Gul’Tanarin finished his chant in a shout and it started, green gas left the human’s mouth as she tried to scream in pain but it was useless, the gas floated around then flowed towards his own mouth, pain filled his head as an incredible amount of information entered his brain, the female’s very soul brushed against his and he could feel her brave and stubborn personality, he knew she was also getting glimpses of his life but the connection was soon severed, the parting was far more painful than the joining like a part of his soul was ripped off from him, he fell back convulsing.
“Did it work?” pushing himself to a sitting position he took a moment to make sure of where, and who, he was “I think so” the female was still suffering on the floor so he took her hair out of her face and waited until she opened her eyes,“Greetings child” “You… you speak English?” “Now I do, good news I have a message for your leaders.”
