Chapter 1: Arc I – Prologue

With his short, slightly curly black hair swaying in the wind, there was a 25-year-old with his body covered in a tattered mantle, walking quietly through the forest.

'I was already having a bad day, and meeting those guys only made it worse.' The young man thought.

'I need to relieve my stress and rest. ’

Taking out a map from a small bag around his waist, he started looking for the nearest town.

'Hmm ... The closest city is Solaris, it seems to be a small town. I’ve never heard of it, but it must have at least a brothel to relieve stress.’

The map did not mark the buildings and had only a vague outline of the city, so the only choice he had was to go there and look. Moving on, it didn't take long for him to leave the forest and be bathed in the setting sun.

In the distance, he noticed that there seemed to be some shepherds accompanying the sheep. They were probably taking them to the pen, after all, in a few hours it would be night.

As he continued, the young man soon spotted a road and followed it. Not long after, he came across a huge crop on either side of the road. Since he was on a hill, he could see how big it was. The planted area was much larger than the part occupied by the houses.

Getting closer, he randomly chose a farmer with red hair, almost black who was carrying a big bag of corn on his back and put his hand on his shoulder. "Hey!"

As he turned, the middle-aged farmer with freckles spread across his face looked startled.

"Do-Do you ne-need an-anything?" He asked.

"Does this city have a brothel?" The young man asked.

“I-It has!” The middle-aged man replied, looking intimidated.

"Where is it?"

“Tha-That depends." The man said. “The-There are three brothels here. ”

"Oh, this is more than I expected." The young man put his hand on his chin. "Which one is the best?"

“St-Stay that way. ” The man pointed. "Bu-But I-I recommend going to wh-what's a little further there."

"Why do you say the best is what's on that way, but tell me to go to another one?" The young man asked.

"I-I think i-it might fit better with what you're lo-looking for." The man said quickly.

After finding out where the brothel was, the young man followed the man's recommendation.

'For such a small town to have three brothels, their owners must certainly make a lot of money by taking prostitutes to the soldiers at the border.'

Arriving at what could be considered the entrance to the town, he realized that there were no guards. But considering that there was no wall around the town, the guards at the entrance were certainly unnecessary.

‘As the fortress is not far away, it doesn’t really need a wall here. And judging by the amount of animals and crops, this town is probably only here to serve as a supply point. ’

Following the instructions of the middle-aged man, the young man quickly arrived at the brothel. Although it didn't look like a luxurious place, it didn't look bad either.

Upon entering, he was immediately greeted by a beautiful middle-aged woman. "Welcome, dear customer, unfortunately, we currently have no prostitutes available, but if you want to wait, soon we will have someone."

"In that case, then I'll go to another one.” The young man said as he shrugged.

“Wait.” The woman said, looking at him curiously. "Can I know your name?"

“Sian.” The young man replied.

As if she remembered something, the woman said. "Wait a minute, maybe there is someone off."

Then the woman left while leaving Sian waiting, but not long after, an old man appeared.

"Welcome, young mister, my name is Badonis." The old man said flatteringly. "Please accompany me to the waiting room, I have someone you may like."

Guided by the old man, Sian sat in a reasonably comfortable armchair while a maid served tea.

"Wait a little while she will come and serve you." The old man said, preparing to leave.

“Wait.” Sian said and tossed a gold coin. "Your payment."

"This is too much, young mister." The old man said.

"If you say you're someone I'm going to like, then she would be worth at least that price." Sian said.

After the old man and the maid left, Sian was left alone in the waiting room. As he was bored, he took a super thick book out of his magic bag and started reading.

While Sian had a pleasant reading, he felt that someone had approached him. Immediately putting the book away, he looked at the person who had arrived, it was a woman wearing sexy lingerie.

She looked to be in her mid thirties and judging from the ears on her head, she was of the Dogkin race. But what most caught Sian's attention was her appearance, as it reminded him very much of someone he knew in the past.

'Although I prefer younger women, I think I can settle for her.'

Bowing to him, the woman said. "Sorry for the delay, I'm O-"

" Are you the one who's going to serve me?" Before she finished speaking, Sian asked.

"Yes, I am-"

"Great, let's go to the bedroom." Sian said, cutting her speech again.

As they were leaving the reception, the maid came and told them to follow her, she said that Badonis had given up his room for both of them to use.

'Whatever it is as long as there's a bed.' Shrugging, Sian followed the maid.
