Chapter 2: 2] – when regression went wrong?

It has been a few minutes since i was enveloped by that blinding light, i had expected the [RESET] process to be instantaneous, but it seems i was wrong,

i am currently located in a transitional space of sorts, the surroundings is completely white, blank like an unpainted canvas

The room was quite without any sounds

When suddenly a system notification appeared and a

My head begins to ache as i read and re-read the system logs over and over again becoming increasingly confused

'was this related to what that husk guy said?'

But i didn't have any time to ponder over the thought as suddenly another notification appeared

[Confirm user [Peter Parker]'s transferral process]

[Yes or no]

'Although that error thing is really concerning, guess i don't really have time to think about it do i?' i thought to myself, without thinking about it much i then proceed to press [yes]

[Transferral procedure confirmed!]

[User [Peter Parker] will soon be transferred to the tutorial stage!]

And with that message an increasingly large amount of light that begins to hammer away at my eyelids as i feel my body slowly weakening, and eventually i passed out

Along with that notification Peter too proceed to wake up, his body shot up into a sitting position, his breathing erratic and his heartbeat faster 

Still disoriented by his sudden awakening he decides to stop for a minute and observe the area

But he quickly noticed something unusual about this [tutorial] area "It’s different than the [passage of trials] that i was at last time" Peter muttered to himself in surprise

Instead of the battleground that he was in the first time around, this time he was in a vast green forest full of trees spanning for miles and miles away, located on an island near the ocean

Aside from that, he also noticed something different with his body, he felt strange, almost as if he were weaker

He just shrugged it off and chocked it up as a weird side effect of being transferred by the system, other than that it seems that the system also stripped him of his clothing when he was being transferred

And his clothes weren't the only thing missing, alongside his clothes all of his equipment were also gone, disappeared into thin air, the only thing left on his body was his trusty pipe and a single tag attached to his left breast

Confused, Peter decided to take a closer look of the tag and saw that [Candidate number 5648] was written on the tag

As he found out that everything he owned were taken away from him by the system, he then came up with an interesting theory "Hmmmm, all of my belongings were stripped away from me when i was taken here by the system, so could that mean? No, it can't be..." Curious, Peter then proceeds to test his theory

 Open status!" Peter said loudly, but nothing came up, usually the status window appears instantly yet this time nothing happened, still unsure Peter waited for a few seconds, yet still nothing appeared

"Well i guess that proves it, all of my progress has been completely reset" Although he felt a bit bummed that all of his progress has been wiped clean this does explains how his body felt weird ever since he was transferred here 

Ever since he woke up on this so called "tutorial stage" his body felt really light like a flatten balloon, he can feel it, his stats, mana—everything that strengthened his body was fully gone 

'It seems that my body wasn't sent back in time with me, but instead my consciousness was sent back in time to a previous state of my body' Peter thought to himself

It's a shame, If he had returned to the past with the powers he possessed, things would've been a lot easier, ‘I guess that would have been much harder to make happen’

'i guess sending just the consciousness to the past is much easier instead of the whole body, after all when you sent a body back in time, you need to deal with the problem of having two versions of the same person in the same time period, not to mention that it requires much greater energy to cross the timeline, So that would probably be an impossible feat, even for that Husk guy

'So This means that i need to start over all the way from zero, this... is a problem, and the fact that i was labelled an error by the system is also a problem' Peter thought to himself unenthusiastically

While he pondered on the situation that he was in, suddenly a lot of people started appearing around peter, holding various weapons similiarly to Peter they were all naked, and with various tags located on different parts of their body

It seems that they were in the same situation as Peter was when he first got here 

And soon enough chaos broke out as a wave of confusion hits the crowd

“Where am i?”

“Is this the Tutorial?”

“There’s a lot of people here” 

"Ahhhhh-hhhaaaa...why am I naked?

“Can you please shut up!”

"Why am I in a place like this?

When suddenly a loud notification noise rang out

The noise wasn’t exclusive to peter, The hundreds and thousands of people present in forest covered their ears. Some people even fainted from the sound that rang inside their eardrums, watching this Peter stood silent, watching the landscape morph around him.

Kkk—gukuk—

Crack! Kkk—

The ground split apart, and never-before-seen plants grew from the fissure

“Guuuuuh—”

The color of the clouds floating in the sky inverted, turning dark- red

An eerie robotic voice then resounded over the area

[Greetings Ex - players, you all have been gathered here because all of you are labelled as errors that the system has been set to be terminated, but due to a major issues in deletion, you have instead been sent here]

[And so, Five tutorials has been prepared for all of you, each tutorial has a reward if you successfully completed it]

An as the voice stopped, a notification then appeared

After the announcement, murmurs begins to fill the air, after being informed that this was the Tutorial and that they were labelled as errors

“Tutorial?”

“i-im sure i died, but why am i still alive?”

“No way... They called me an error’”

"How will we even survive without any skills or power?"

And then another notification came in

[Mission description: 'Titan Island' is slowly sinking into the sea, To escape there is only one condition, you need to prove your worth in order to escape the island]

[Mission objective: DEFEAT THE GREAT TITAN AT THE PEAK AND HIS LACKEYS OF THE ISLAND!]

[You will be given a score depending on your contribution towards defeating the boss, The final reward will be decided based on your score and how long it takes for the lackeys to fall]

[The time limit is 60 days, Once the time limit passes, the island will sink completely]

TIME LIMIT: 60 :00 : 00 : 00]

While the previous notifications had only caused a mere confusion this new notification caused outright chaos to ensue, as the people there was shocked at the Mission they were suddenly given 

“What?”

“Two months?” 

A large crowd then formed, and kept murmurring with one another, attracting the attention something dangerous, they're murmurs were stopped when they were intereupted by a loud feral roar

“Guuuuahhhh—!”

“Gyaaaa—”

Peter hearing these sounds begins to panic “…shit... They’re here.” said Peter as he begins to quickly grab his weapons so he can defend himself 

The roars then grows louder as the creature gets nearer

Peter, holding the pipe in his hand, walked past the walls of crowd, who had started covering their ears in order to protect their hearing

As Peter approach the noise he then see a sight that terrified him down to his bone

Peter found out that the creatures were now only a few meters away from their current area “It’s over.” Peter said frightfully

And as Peter said that, a ringing sound was then heard throughout the area

And a robotic voice then said

THE TUTORIAL WILL NOW BEGIN.]

[First round - The Five hours]

Guwooh—!”

“Gyaaaaaaah—”

A terrifying roar was then heard in the midst of the ringing noise

peter then searched for the source of the cry

And when he found it he suddenly got a notification

[SURVIVE THE LACKEY HORDE]

[All titans perish after five hour.]

The mission wasn’t much different from what peter experienced last time when he was in the [passage of trials] last time

But there was one small difference

‘There’s a fuckton of ‘em.’

the number of lackeys that started appearing in the forest was immense and all of them were big and strong, looking at his enemies he begins to get increasingly terrified, although he was trying to hide it, inside he was scared, very much so

'Giants, how am I supposed to fight a giant with a pipe?' Peter asked terrified

'But... I've got to try, since I need to get back to aether, I need to make it back alive' Peter thought to himself filled with new sense of determination 

While Peter started getting ready to fight these monsters the other people there were chaotically running around like headless chickens, horrified of the lackeys 

“Kiyaaaah—!”

“Mo-Monsters!”

"Gi--ants"

“titan? It’s fucking titan!!!

Peter observed the people that screamed and ran away in terror after discovering the Lackeys 

Yet Peter new that running away would be futile, after all the area of the summoning ground were far too small for how densely populated it was

If it were somewhere larger, the area of the forest would be wide and empty, leaving more room for people to escape. There would also be fewer lackeys, significantly lowering the difficulty.

There wasn’t an adequate place to run away to. Therefore, the summoning ground would soon become flooded by the blood of people torn apart by the lackey

There was only a single solution to this problem—when you can’t run, you should fight, You can’t survive such a large horde simply by running though

As this place is “Tutorial zone” you could only run so far, and lackeys are hiding around every corner

Knowing this, Peter then decided that he should just fight the lackeys and not run away

"Heh, after all since i can't do anything about it, i might as well face it head on!" Peter said to himself

Having accepted what happened as it is and Peter then decides to face the lackeys head on even if i'll be difficult without his system and his skills
